Visited Ellora Caves in 2025 and the experience was breathtaking. The rock-cut temples and monasteries showcase incredible craftsmanship and history. The Kailasa temple especially stands out—carved from a single rock, it’s a masterpiece of devotion and architecture. The site is well maintained, with clear pathways and informative boards. Evening light added a magical touch to the carvings. A must-visit UNESCO World Heritage Site for anyone interested in culture, history, or spirituality.

No pierdas tiempo! Solo descalzo 🦶 puedes entrar.

Sad to see the garbage in the water body before entering the main shrine at Ellora caves, famous for its architecture and one of the UN listed world heritage site. The site of garbage gives a bad picture about India to tourists who visit in large numbers from all over the world .

Caves are very good specially the cave no 10 the arch shape roof produces eco when u say anything and kailasha temple the only monolithic temple in the word. But the government is not paying attention most of the statues are degrading because of not proper maintenance.

I am from the USA and always wanted to come here as my bucket list. This is a unesco world heritage site and should have been a wonder of the world in my opinion. You can enter 34 of the caves, which feature Buddhist, hindu and Jain sections. You can pay for a guide. You can walk to any of them but some you can take a little truck or golf cart to. The intracy of the carvings is best in class, the design, the beauty and the divinity of it all will absolutely blow your mind. The Kailash temple is the main attaction. It was carved from top down and was made to resemble a chariot. Imagine how hard that was. Its stunning and will run out of words to describe and your jaw will drop. Absolutely gorgeous. A worldwide must see. They have wild monkey roaming and you can eat some snacks there.

Ellora caves are one of top world heritage sites, Situated at approximately 30 kms from Aurangabad city. If you are history and art lover, this would be a best place for you to explore great architecture, stunning sculptures that tells stories of various religions. There are total 34 caves and cave 16 - Kailash cave is in center opp to entrance gate and also main one . Caves 17 to 34 lies on left side of kalish cave and caves 1 to 15 lies on right side . Kalisha cave is just human marvel . You must visit early hours to witness sunrise and watching sun rays touching the temple and slowly revealing the entire temple is just magical. The peaceful morning atmosphere, with cool air and birds chirping, adds to the charm. It’s the perfect time to soak in the beauty of history while enjoying a serene start to the day. Walking through the caves feels like stepping back in time, where every corner reveals a new masterpiece.

A testament to the brilliance of ancient craftsmanship and India's rich cultural heritage. Visiting this UNESCO World Heritage Site is like stepping back in time, where history, art, and devotion converge to create something truly spectacular. The caves, carved between the 6th and 10th centuries, are an incredible blend of Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain traditions, showcasing the harmony and artistic excellence of that era. The intricate carvings, towering sculptures, and breathtaking architectural details left me in awe. The centerpiece, the Kailasa Temple (Cave 16), is an engineering wonder—a monolithic structure carved from a single rock. Its sheer scale and beauty are unimaginable until you see it in person. What adds to the experience is the evident effort to preserve and restore this historical treasure. The pathways are well-maintained, information boards are insightful, and there is a palpable sense of care in how this heritage is being protected for future generations. P.S. do not forget to carry water, a cap and wearing shoes would be helpful.

Such a wonderful, amazing and awesome experience. We arrived at ellora in the afternoon. We hired an official guide and was really helpful in explaining things about the carvings and sculptures on the caves and all. We were able to cover main caves buddhist, jain ,my fav kailasa temple and vishwakarma cave. I was awestruck by the architecture and ancient artisan skills. It's a must visit. You'll never be disappointed. You can have some fine shots in the nature. The glimpse of the evening sky is so beautiful and romantic.

Visiting the Ellora Caves and the Kailasa Temple is an unforgettable experience. The scale, precision, and artistry carved into solid basalt rock are absolutely awe-inspiring. Each cave showcases intricate sculptures, detailed pillars, and timeless stories from ancient Indian craftsmanship. The highlight, of course, is the Kailasa Temple an architectural marvel carved top-down from a single rock. Standing in its courtyard feels like stepping back in time. The symmetry, the towering pillars, and the sheer ambition of the structure make it one of the most incredible monuments I’ve ever seen. The site is well-maintained, and walking through the caves gives a deep sense of history and cultural richness. Whether you love art, history, or architecture, this place will leave you speechless. A must-visit destination that truly lives up to its legendary reputation.

To be honest, no words can describe the beauty and impression of Ellora Caves. There are 33 caves in total and you need about 3 hours to finish all. There are electric cars to transfer among caves but I recommend walking. There are also drinking water tanks and it is safe to drink. Trust me, I tried 😊. I heard that it would be more beautiful if visiting Ellora caves in Monsoon season cause you could see the waterfalls and greenery. If I have a chance I will definitely go back here in Monsoon season.

This is a must visit place if you are in Chatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Highlight of this place is Kailasa temple, an architectural marvel. It's a monolithic structure carved out of single rock. Ramayana and Mahabharat has been carved on a rock face inside Kailasa temple complex. Plan for a full day trip to Ellora caves as there are many other caves offering a spiritual journey in Buddhism and Jainism adjacent to Kailasa temple. Must Visit.
