The Experience: • Visual Spectacle: Famous for its traditional "stilt house" architecture built along the cliffside. When it lights up at night, it looks exactly like the bathhouse from Spirited Away. • Vertical City: It has 11 floors, but because it's Chongqing, both the 1st floor and the 11th floor exit onto city streets. It's the perfect place to experience the "3D" nature of the city. Know Before You Go: • Language Barrier: It is extremely local and tourist-heavy, but staff and vendors do not speak English. Keep your translation app ready for everything from ordering "Grilled Brains" (a local delicacy) to finding the exit. • Digital Payments: Cash is almost non-existent here. You must have Alipay or WeChat Pay ready on your phone for all food stalls and souvenir shops. • Crowd Control: The crowds can be intense. Security often sets up one-way walking routes during peak hours (7 PM – 10 PM). Be patient and follow the flow. Pro Tip: For the best photos of the whole complex, walk onto the Qiansimen Bridge right next to it. Also, the elevators are always packed—taking the stairs is much faster and lets you see the quirky shops on every level!

洪崖洞金黃璀璨的夜景，可以近觀與合照，也可以在千廝門橋上遠觀拍照，各有迷人的魅力與風情。洪崖洞內的商場有11層樓，我們善用商場的電動手扶梯，就可以輕鬆地從1樓前面的濱江路走到11樓後面的滄白路，然後回到飯店。如果走樓梯，臉色可就發白了。途中經過《國泰藝術中心》又稱《筷子樓》，也是重慶的特色建築，真好看👍

We had a memorable experience at Hongya Dong. We even did a traditional costume photoshoot there, which made the visit extra special. The night view is stunning, especially when all the lights come on around 8pm. We also walked to Qiansimen Bridge to take photos of Hongya Dong from afar, the view from the bridge is amazing and worth the walk. Inside and around Hongya Dong, there are many local stalls selling snacks and drinks. We tried various local snacks and even drank Chinese wine by the street stalls, which felt very local and quite fun. Inside Hongya Dong, there is also a film shooting location, which looks unique and gives the place a strong cultural and cinematic vibe. However, do take note that it can be very crowded, especially at night. On the day we visited, the lift was not working, so we had to climb up from Level 1 all the way, quite tiring. Because of the crowds and stairs, it may not be very suitable for elderly visitors or those with mobility issues. Overall, Hongya Dong is a must-visit in Chongqing, especially at night. The atmosphere, lights, and local culture really make it special. Just come prepared for crowds and some walking, and you’ll enjoy the experience.

Finally visiting the real-life “Spirited Away”! When night falls and the golden stilt houses light up across the mountain, it genuinely feels like stepping into a mystical anime world. Built right onto the cliffside, this place offers two completely different vibes: rich history meeting modern transformation by day, and a breathtaking sea of lights clinging to the cliffs by night. From exploring the local Bayu culture to trying the famous Mountain City hotpot, this is a truly unique experience you can only find in Chongqing. A city built on cliffs—it absolutely lives up to the hype!

這次去洪崖洞民俗風貌區前爬文，數人表示要看點燈後的夜景很美，所以特別留到華燈初上，看過夜景才離開，人潮越晚越多，夜景也確實特別且美麗，還好這次行前還查了當地日落時間，三月底四月初約19點左右日落，相較台灣的日落時間晚一小時以上，提醒大家注意一下，免得影響後面的行程或安排，推薦。

Hongyadong looks absolutely stunning at night when all the lights are on. The atmosphere is beautiful and very unique, but it also gets extremely crowded. I highly recommend going up to the bridge nearby to enjoy the best view of the entire area, definitely worth seeing in person!

สถานที่สวยงามมีความยิ่งใหญ่ประดับไฟอลังการ มีความคลาสสิกผสมผสานกับความโมเดิล แต่นักท่องเที่ยวเยอะมากจนไม่สามารถเข้าถึงพื้นที่ด้านใน เหม็นกลิ่นบุหรี่คลุ้งไปทั่ว หายใจไม่สะดวก คนท้องถิ่นตามตื้อชวนถ่ายรูปจนน่ารำคาญ

Ярко, красочно, атмосферно и..... шумно. ОЧЕНЬ! Я уши затыкала т.к. порой просто было больно ужам от такой громкости. Место обязательно к посещению. Но толпы тут порой страшные. Мы были и днем и вечером. Каждое время имеет свое очарование. Еда на улочке со стритфудом очень интересная. Кое-что попробовали.

สถานที่สวยงามมาก มีการให้บริการแต่งตัวชุดจีนและแต่งหน้าพร้อมช่างภาพหากต้องการ กลางวันเหมือนไม่มีอะไรแต่กลางคืนนั้นสว่างไสวและสวยงามมาก คนเยอะมาก รถติด มองไปทางไหนก็สวย

洪崖洞晚上人特别多，很热闹，但也正是这种氛围体现了重庆的魅力。灯光很好看，夜景很有特色，适合打卡拍照。就是人流有点拥挤，需要耐心慢慢走。

👌Beautiful views, terrible experience.Total tourist trap. While the scenery is beautiful, the substance is very shallow. The crowds are awful, with constant pushing and extreme congestion. People stop everywhere for photos, and the noise from megaphones is deafening. It’s chaotic and stressful. Do not waste your time going inside; it is much better to just view it from afar.

คนไทยมานี่ต้องใช้แอพ amap นะครับ แต่เผื่อใครเข้ามาใช้ googlemap ก็รีวิวให้ดูคือมันสวยจึ้งมาก สวยแบบตะโกน ควรมาตั้งแต่เย็น อันดับแรกเดินไปบนสะพานแดงแล้วถ่ายลงมาตรงอาคารไมัที่มีไฟ แล้วเดินฝ่าฝูงชตลงมาข้างล่าง ลิฟท์ลงได้ก็ลง แต่คนแน่นมาก ถ้าเดินลงบันไดเราจะอยู่ชั้น 11-12 นี่แหระ อยากเดินลงมาข้างล่างสุด ขึ้นสะพานลอยแล้วข้ามไปฝั่งติดแม่น้ำ ก็จะได้วิวสวยไปอีกแบบ ถ้าฝนไม่ตก 2ทุ่ม วันเสาร์จะสีมีโชว์โดรนด้วยเน้อ โชคดีครับ

🏮✨ หงหยาต้ง… สถานที่ที่เหมือนหลุดเข้าไปอยู่ในโลกอนิเมะจีนจริงๆ แสงไฟสีทองสะท้อนแม่น้ำ ตึกโบราณซ้อนกันเป็นชั้นๆ บนภูเขา บรรยากาศตอนกลางคืนคือที่สุดของคำว่า “โรแมนติกแบบมีสไตล์” 🌃🚶🏻‍♂️ ยิ่งเดิน… ยิ่งเหมือนอยู่ในฉากหนังไซไฟผสมกลิ่นอายจีนโบราณ มุมถ่ายรูปคือดีทุกมุม แบบไม่ต้องพยายามก็ได้รูปเท่ๆ 📸🔥 ที่นี่ไม่ได้สวยแค่วิว แต่มันให้ฟีลเหมือนโลกทั้งเมืองกำลังมีชีวิต เสียงคน เสียงรถไฟ แสงไฟ และลมเย็นๆ ริมแม่น้ำ มันเป็นความวุ่นวายที่โคตรมีเสน่ห์ 🖤

Hongyadong Cave is without a doubt one of the most iconic and recognisable landmarks in Chongqing, and it is a place I would highly recommend visting! The best time to visit is at night, when the entire stilted complex comes alive creating an incredible contrast against the skyscrapers in the background. I found that the bridge directly opposite Hongyadong offered one of the most impressive viewpoints, giving you a full view of the entire structure. Another great perspective is from across the river. A few things to keep in mind before visiting: make sure you have both Alipay and WeChat set up for payments, as cash and international cards are often not accepted.

A mixed feeling of this site, looks a bit artificial ancient structure. It did give an interesting backdrop to the scenery and it also served as a big market of variety local products and food. Certainly can spend at least a couple of hours wandering around.

คนเยอะมากช่วงก่อนเชงเม้งปี 69 ไฟสวยดี. แต่ย่านนี้สถานที่ท่องเที่ยวอยู่ใกล้กันมาก ๆ เดินไปหากันได้สะดวกเลย

Крайне необычное место. Днем не очень многолюдно, поэтому можно делать фото и видео из любого места. Много людей вообще занимают места под вечер на противоположном берегу и ждут когда Хунья включит подсветку. В вечернее время здесь реально не протолкнуться из-за огромного кол-ва людей. Много организованных экскурсий и простых туристов. Совсем непонятно почему это место называется пещерой. В разных источниках пишут про разную этажность этой постройки от 9 до 13 этажей.

The light is on around 8pm, so better not to come so early. From the main city road (11F floor), take the lift to 1F, then find the exit, then turn left, walk straight until you see the stairs, then head up and you will be in the opposite of Hongya Dong
