Excellent educational environment, supportive faculty, and a beautiful campus. The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has played an important role in shaping talented students and providing quality education. Proud to be a part of this institution.

-INFRASTRUCTURE & AESTHETICS- - Spent 4 years of my BS Degree - Best place where 95% students and staff is from South Punjab(Saraiki Speaking region) - You'll be in love with the natural beauty of this institute once you visit here - Clean, green and modern infrastructure - Summers are hard here, winters are blessing for the place. -HOSTELS- - Hostels are clean and decent but sudden increase in students strength caused to allocate more than 4 students in a room. - University is building new hostels though. - In summers, heat will hit badly - In summers, it is calm place - Hostels for boys and girls are divided in halls with their specific names. Each hall contains separate dining hall, cafeteria or whatever you call(you've to pay by yourself to eat or drink). -EDUCATION STANDARDS- - Overall good - Many departments are older so there's huge shortage of space for classes - We couldn't find classes for taking lectures in our own department. - Semester fee is getting higher and higher every year. - Teaching standards are ordinary in 90% of the departments. - only older and Larger departments have funds, power, facilities and students benefits like scholarships and much more - Library is huge and full of books with peaceful aesthetic environment. -NON-ACADEMIC STAFF- - There's a loophole in staff behaviour in every department. University needs to work on their soft skills on first priority. - University is still upgrading to digitalisation of their database. So students suffer too much worse regarding documentation, degree matters and clearance at the end of the degree - University is at worse stage in this matter. - University should invest in Software and Websites to digitalise the academic and non academic affairs because it is not investing as much as it takes from the students and government. -OTHERS- - Transport is Excellent but insufficient - For health concerns, Dispensery and Gynaecology Ward is available - Beautiful Mosque is Centre of the University's Beauty - Cafeterias are amazing with both Indoor and outdoor dining. (Expensive as well😁) -CONCLUSION- - Infrastructure is best but insufficient - Education standards are average - University is full of activities if you're interested in social activities rather than study - Documentation matters are still paper work and contain illogical visits to the different departments due to less Digital infrastructure and Database system. Stayed in the rest house of IUB for 2 days. Loved the university environment and green grounds. Had enjoyed running in round park facing the main building. At night its very peaceful here.

Islamia University began as Jamia Abbasia, a religious university established in Bahawalpur in 1925 following the academic pursuits of Al-Azhar University in Egypt. In 1975, Jamia Abbasia was declared a general university and renamed as The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Celebrating its 100 year ceremony 1925-2025. The university started at the Abbasia and Khawaja Fareed campuses with ten departments. Later, 1280 acres of land was allotted to the university on Hasilpur Road about eight kilometers away from the city centre which became the Baghdad-ul-Jadeed campus. It consists 126 teaching departments offering 300disciplines. In 2015, it was ranked 11th in the general (large) category of universities.

At present I'm staying for two days on behalf of ICIR. I have privilege to stay in the same room where Dr Hameedullah once stayed for two days.

It was a very nice experience there! A pretty good university it is for new comers! While some major steps were lacking for comfort of students in the summer as it is very hot there.

Department of Food Science and Technology

Islamia University Bahawalpur is one of the oldest University in South Punjab Province. It has marvelous track records of Academia. New campus is located out of urban areas however old campus or city campus is located at the traditional building. It has big traditional lawns, Victorian-bahawal architecture and classic Redford white colour. University has nice and comfortable residence for academic staff. At present I'm staying for two days on behalf of ICIR. I have privilege to stay in the same room where Dr Hameedullah once stayed for two days.

The islamia University of bahawalpur is one of the best institution in the region of the South Punjab. The university is popular for his research based works. The University Offers about 100 plus degree programs including diploma. It also offer two time admission session for Fall and Spring in a year.

My own University 9/10

Study is 60/100 in computer fields. Hostels are 30/100 ratings. Their mess 20/100 ratings.

One of the best educational institute in Bahawalpur. Currently, I am pursuing LL.B Hons from this campus usually known as main campus/old campus.. All the Professors are really hard working and kind to us.

Staying true to the legacy of the state of Bahawalpur, the institute yearns to provide excellent and competent education that is easily accessible to students. The university promotes individual growth and also encourages the students to be more responsible and sincere for their future. Islamia University is included amongst the top 10 institutes of Pakistan.

The Law Department at IUB is one of the key faculties of the university, offering LLB (4 years), LLM (2 years), and PhD programs. Its mission is to promote legal education, human rights, social justice, and the rule of law in Pakistan.
