Ambet Jetty

Need to address this all travellers that bridge near this is not working so need to travel this route by this jetty. Time consuming and free service

It's a quick 5 mins ferry ride for vehicles to mandangad and back.Its on hourly basis. They fit around 10 cars easily .

Ferry Service is Free...but it costs you time. Waited 1.2hrs for 5min of ride. So in all its equal whether you go via Mahad or Ambet 🤦‍♂️ (Which shouldn't be the case) No other ways to do passtime than clicking photos.

Adding a lil spice to our journey...travelled towards Dapoli...as the bridge between Ambey & Mahpral is under repairs .this is a free service for people...crowded on weekends as everyone travelling towards Dapoli takes this scenic route & an unexpected but much needed Ferry Ride...the authorities are locals .and the locals people get 1st preference to cross over ..the ones from Bombay have to wait in line...home advantage 🤣loved the ride...thank you for the service

Ferry services offered to cross the river as the Ambet bridge is closed for repairs. Beautiful scenery surrounded by mountains. Typical konkan road with curvy roads and hillocks to my native. PS: Anyone who observes the start please message to update.

As the bridge towards ambet is closed due to repairs, one has to take the ferry to cross the river....the service is free until the bridge is repaired.

Waiting time on Saturday @1PM was 5min around 25 car can be transported from bigger jeety they have small one too which has 5-10 car transport capacity.... Free ride as same company build bridge of which one piller is now broken or loose.

This ambet jetty started due to Ambet bridge went for reconstruction. Now It's has been more than 5yrs but still not completed yet. So people travelling through Ferry including bikes, cars, trucks & buses from Ambet jetty to Mhapral Jetty. It's absolutely free service by government. 1hr waiting for each trip. Time table shown in suwarndurg shipping site. There are total 2 Ferrys. 1 is small & another is big. Small ferry used only when there are crowded in pick days like Ganesh fest, summer season, Holi. Ferry service is very well but there is no tea stalls, nashta stalls near Ambet Jetty. Even not any washrooms. So request to gov. Please arrange atleast washroom facility at Ambet Jetty & mhapral jetty.

If you are traveling during weekends and planning to go to Dapoli avoid taking the Ambet route. The bridge is under construction and the ferry service has limited capacity. Took us 3 hours to cross the river. Better take Mahad route and save time.

It is totally free service. It is a temporary arrangement done by State Govt. as a nearby bridge is under repair. Passengers have to wait till the boat is full of vehicles. शक्यतो पूल बांधून होई पर्यंत हा रस्ता टाळा, त्या मुळे वेळ वाचेल. पुण्याहुन गुहागर / दापोलीला कारने जाणाऱ्यांनी खेड मार्गे जावे म्हणजे फेरीबोट लागणार नाही आणि वेळ वाचेल.

I love traveling in this. Although it's just one minute ride and at times it takes more than an hour because of the rush, due to holidays. But overall the experience is always exciting for me. 😊 And moreover the jetty people manage and organise the vehicles properly. Thank you 🙏🏻

Since repair works of Amber bridge is still on since last so many years, it is a good option to reach Amber and Mhapral to and fro. You can avoid an hour long journey via Mahad and have a journey break. Hats off to people who are working here on ferries, they ensure maximum vehicles to cross other end in minimum time. I have used this route many times on different time, all people employed here are working hard and honestly.

Ferry service from here is primarily being operated since the Ambet - Mhapral bridge is under repair. Here there's just one boat to ferry passengers and all vehicles except heavy vehicles. One boat has a capacity of around 20 vehicles. Even lesser if there are tempo travelers in queue. Spent almost 2.5 hours to get to the ferry. The ferry ride is approximately 20 mins one way. Traveling via Mahad is a much better option. It might add around 10-15 kms and 20 odd mins to the journey wherever you're going but it's much better than this foolishness.

This was on way Dapoli enjoyed the ROro service as Ambet Bridge is closed there is no option to go but government is offering this service free thanks to them otherwise it would have been a Big Uturn

In parallel to bridge there is a jetty service to connnect
