I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional handling of my acupuncture treatment package at this clinic.
I purchased a package of six acupuncture sessions (five paid sessions plus one complimentary session) with the expectation of receiving consistent treatment within an appropriate timeframe. Unfortunately, after completing only four sessions, my treatment was interrupted because the doctor left the country. At no point during the purchase process was I informed that the doctor would be unavailable or leaving for an extended period.
What is most concerning is the complete lack of communication and accountability from the clinic. Over several weeks, I repeatedly contacted the clinic to ask when the doctor would return so I could continue my treatment. Each time, I was told there was no clear answer and that someone would contact me once they had updates. Nobody ever followed up as promised.
I also asked whether the clinic could offer an alternative treatment or practitioner due to the interruption they caused. Instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, I was informed that any alternative treatment would require additional payment, despite the fact that the interruption was entirely on the clinic’s side.
Towards the end of April and again in May, I expressed my concerns regarding the lack of professionalism, the interruption of my medical treatment, and the absence of any proper solution. The receptionist informed me she would escalate the matter to management and that they would contact me regarding possible options, including either a refund for the remaining sessions or a suitable alternative arrangement. Once again, nobody followed up.
Instead, I later received a dismissive message stating that my package was “non-refundable,” and an appointment was booked for me on 9 May without even consulting my availability beforehand. This approach towards a paying client is unacceptable.
Throughout this entire process, I remained patient, respectful, and cooperative. I simply expected transparent communication, continuity of care, and basic professionalism. Unfortunately, the clinic failed on all three aspects.
As a result of this experience, I have effectively lost two sessions from my package and will be proceeding with reporting this matter through the appropriate official consumer channels.
