We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is well maintained, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the essential amenities. Its central location offers stunning views of the city, making the stay even more enjoyable. The rooftop pool and bar provide a perfect setting to relax and unwind while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious Sri Lankan, Indian, and Western dishes to suit all tastes. The room was consistently well stocked with tea, coffee, and other essentials, and the overall service was excellent. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

We stayed at Cinnamon Red Colombo in April 2024 in a standard room with a half-board package, and only now got around to sharing our review. Overall, we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. The room had a nice city view, was clean, hygienic, and felt cozy throughout. We also appreciated having tea and coffee facilities in the room. One of the highlights was the rooftop infinity pool—it was amazing and offered a great place to relax while enjoying the city views. The spa on the top floor with its beautiful city view also created a relaxing atmosphere and added a good vibe to the experience. On the other hand, the buffet was not exactly what we expected and felt like it could offer more variety, especially with more international menu options. Overall, it was a good stay with comfortable rooms, great facilities, and a lovely atmosphere.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The location is perfect and very convenient. All the staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. A special thank you to Nimesha for assisting me throughout my stay and making everything so comfortable and smooth. She also assisted me to change the room as I requested which was very kind of her. Also, a big appreciation to Pathum for the excellent service provided. The rooftop pool was definitely my favorite part. Such an amazing place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The breakfast was also awesome with a great variety and delicious food. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely love to stay again!

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is very convenient and perfect for exploring the city. The rooms were clean, modern, and looked newly refurbished. We stayed on the 24th floor and the view was absolutely amazing. The dinner buffet offered a great variety of international dishes and everything was delicious. Breakfast also had a very good range of options to choose from. Most importantly, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Colombo!

We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The roof top bar was nice with a small pool. The breakfast was ok but nothing special. I would stay again as it was ok.

Cinnamon Red Colombo was probably the best hotel we stayed at during our trip in Sri Lanka. The hotel is modern, clean, and well organized. The rooms are comfortable with a nice city view, and everything felt well maintained. The highlight is definitely the rooftop with the infinity pool and bar, the view of Colombo from there is amazing, especially in the evening. The location is also convenient for exploring the city.

This is a newly built hotel located in the city center of Colombo. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the rooftop area is beautifully designed. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and everything was in excellent condition. I stayed here for business purposes, and the parking facilities were also very good. Everything ran smoothly — check-in and check-out were both quick and efficient, with no issues during my stay. I also ordered room service, and they informed me it would take 35 minutes. The meal was delivered exactly within that time, which was impressive. Overall, everything was superb. Compliments to the management — keep up the great work.

I booked a room with a panoramic view, and it absolutely delivered! The scenery was incredible and easily one of the highlights of our stay. Check-in was quick and hassle free which made a great first impression. The room itself was spotless, and the bed was especially comfortable. One thing to note is that the pool is located on the same floor as the bar, so it can get a bit busy since bar guests also have access to the pool area. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with just a small trade-off in terms of privacy at the pool.

This is honestly the best hotel out of six hotels that we stayed in Sri Lanka. I was a bit sad that we check-in on our last one and half days. The cleanliness is like super clean. Room service is like super fast! Center of the city and the room is big and spacious with nice view. Reception is also great and no fuss about early check-in or late checkout. Truly a great hotel. If I ever come back to Sri Lanka, I will be staying here again.

This is my first stay at Cinnamon Red and I was pleasantly surprised by its charm. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious, a good variety of food, from Sri lankan, Indian and western choices along with a substantial choice of pastries. The room was spacious, the bed and sheets were anazing! Great views too! Suranga, the room cleaner was always helpful, courteous and friendly. He was efficient and such a delight to deal with. The room was always well stocked with tea, coffee and essentials. A really wonderful hotel and I really enjoyed my time here.

I experienced the beauty of the room and the city view. That's great. But I have to mention that some facilities are not good for the money we spent. No welcome drink, We had to wait on the counters until our check-in process was done. Didn't see any baggage service, Room cards didn't work well sometimes, and the website displayed the final amount for 1 night 100$ (tax inclusive) but thay chaged 106$ from my bank card. So overall, the experience was good.

到着すると若い男性のベルスタッフの方が日本語で対応してくれ感激でした。部屋は綺麗で大変快適でした。少し料金は上がりますが眺めの良い角部屋にして大正解でした。プールも海方向からロータスタワーまで見え、開放感があり良かったです。タオルは同フロアのジムで借りられます。cinnamon grandで食事をしたかったのですが、なんとか歩いていけるくらいの距離感でした。朝食は普通でしょうか。野菜系がもう少しあったら嬉しかったです。最後の1日を快適に過ごせました、ありがとうございました。

One of the finest hotel in heart of Colombo city. Very much worth for the price I paid for my 3 days stay here. Check-in was so smooth and quick. The reception was cool and kindly staff there. Room was very clean and hygienic. Mattress and bed linen are clean and comfortable. They provided, high tech Television with multi language channels to meet the guest preferences. Mini refrigerator, Kettle with Coffee&Tea mixers, Safety locker, Iron box & board, A round glass table with Chair in-room dining & Laptop. Clean & hygienically maintaining toilet with toiletries. I had booking with complimentary breakfast, the restaurant “FlavouRED” is very spacious and choose of food spread buffet. One can get authentic Srilankan Puttu, StringHopper, Hopper, rice cack with Sambol, milk, Fish curry, Potato curry, South Indian style Upma, Idly, variety of Dosa with Samabar & Chutny. Continental food spread with Cut Fruits, Fruit juices, kids cereal too. Food quality and taste was delicious. At roof top 26th level, good equipped gymnasium and infinity pool is highlight of the hotel. Nice Gym with all equipment is great addition for fitness lovers and the rooftop pool giving great experience. They provide room service with limited manu, I found the quantity is suitable for light eaters but taste and service was very good. Overall hotel provides pleasant stay and great experience.

I had a very good stay at Cinnamon Red Hotel in Sri Lanka. The room was comfortable and well maintained, the bathroom was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was really good. The location is also convenient. I called customer service to request slippers.unfortunately, they were not available at that time and although I was told they would be arranged the next morning, I did not receive them. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience and I would recommend this hotel.

Rewritten Update: 21 May 2026 (5 🌟 to 4⭐️) I visited on 19 May for dinner with two friends and was disappointed with the overall food taste and variety. The selection has noticeably reduced — there was no seafood and the signature beef curry was also missing. Even the beef pie fell short of the usual standard. On the positive side, the Sri Lankan section was good, and the dessert section met expectations as always. The service remains exceptional. Old Review: The culinary offerings are exceptional. The buffet, in particular, comes highly recommended, presenting a superior value proposition when compared to establishments with higher price points, such as Kingsbury. The accommodations consistently meet the high standards associated with Cinnamon Hotels, offering modern amenities and a sophisticated ambiance. Furthermore, the staff consistently demonstrates the exemplary professionalism and courteous demeanor characteristic of the Cinnamon brand.

Cinnamon Red is a great little hotel tucked away from the noise and chaos of Galle Road, while still being close enough to everything you need in Colombo. It has a very modern, cheeky personality with its red-themed design running through almost every detail, which gives the hotel a fun and slightly playful character. For a 3-star hotel, it punches above its weight. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and practical, with all the essential amenities you would expect. The real highlight is the view, especially from the higher floors and rooftop area. The rooftop pool and bar give you some of the best city views in Colombo, and it makes the hotel feel a lot more premium than the rating suggests. The staff were pleasant, the location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and stylish without being pretentious. It is a great option for couples, tourists, or anyone wanting a comfortable Colombo stay with a bit of personality. The only major downside was the WiFi. It was slow and unreliable, which made it difficult to get proper work done. Because of that, I would probably not recommend it for business travellers who need stable internet. But for leisure stays, short city breaks, or anyone wanting a comfortable hotel with great views and a fun vibe, Cinnamon Red is definitely worth considering.

Positive: Location is a major plus point. It is a short tuktuk ride away from all major tourist points. Room I stayed in was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. All toiletries and tea/coffee supplies were available. The rooftop bar was a nice place to chill after the day. Negative: The door to the bathroom is frosted glass door which does not have a latch and so cannot be closed properly

This is probably one of the best no-frills hotels in Colombo, a very modern, well-maintained, and perfectly located in the heart of the city. The rooftop pool, gym, and bar are excellent, with the rooftop bar being especially lively and enjoyable at night. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. A special mention goes to the housekeeping team, particularly Malindu, who is exceptionally professional, friendly, and attentive. He consistently kept our room spotless and truly elevated our stay. Staff like Malindu are a real asset to any hotel. Overall, this is a fantastic place offering great value for money, highly recommended. This is also a great place for families with children too.

I had such a wonderful stay at Cinnamon Red Colombo! From the moment I walked in, the receptionist made me feel so welcome, and check-in was super easy. The rooms were clean, comfy, and just perfect, and the room attendants took great care to keep everything tidy. The restaurant staff, security team, luggage counter staff, and managers were all friendly, professional, and made me feel safe and valued. The food was amazing, and the hotel felt super organized and cozy. A special shoutout to the receptionist and call center staff who helped me with a payment issue I had with Rehlat.com — they were so patient, helpful, and really went the extra mile to support me. It made me feel truly cared for! Honestly, every part of my stay — from the comfort and cleanliness to the incredible service — was perfect. I can’t recommend Cinnamon Red Colombo enough and will definitely stay here again when I’m in Colombo!
