I booked Clean My Place for deep cleaning my room, balcony, bathroom passage area, passage entrance staircase. And I must say I will now always regret my decision.
My expectations:
- I will just have to once show the technicians the scope of work, and since they are 'professionals, they will do it regardless of me asking them to.
- I mean thats how it should be, when I spend money in thousands, I should not have to be keeping on reminding the technicians- That hey this is left, that is left
- Sad realization that I had to supervise them and pin point the things they have missed.
On the day of 30th March, 2021 (The day the technicians were called)
- Reporting time was 11 am, technicians came at 12:30, and ultimately started working at 1 pm. So they were very late.
- Their scrubbing machine was not with them and it was delivered at our place at 6 pm. They insisted on starting the scrubbing work after 6 pm, but I had some personal commitments due to which I had to ask them to go.
- Plus after supervising them entire day, I did not have energy.
- On this day they cleaned my windows, bathroom promptly but only after me pushing them did they do dusting of the bed, cleaning of chairs and clean the places in the bathroom they missed.
- I had to then tell them to start dusting of the passage, (I mean when they know that this is included in their scope of work, some things should come from within right? Why did I have to spoon feed, each and everything). Finally at 6:20 they left.
- I was asked to pay the entire amount in cash before the cleaning was completed, as Leslyann, the person coordinating the cleaning service was visiting this side (Near Jodhpur Park).
- I gave her the money as she assured me work will be done to my satisfaction. But I did not get a receipt. I mean not only is the money asked before hand, but not even a receipt is given? I was told a snapshot of the receipt would be sent to me or whenever she visits this side, she will handover the bill to me. I have yet not received any bill yet.
Now on 31st March, 2021:
- Technicians reached my place dot by 10:30 am.
- I was looking forward to getting the scrubbing etc. to be done.
- But things soon turned into a nightmare for me
- The scrubbing machine was damaged. Since neither of the technicians were aware of this, they kept on blaming my fuse system and did experimentation with my NCB box. They tried putting the wire in my ncb box directly, removed bits of the wire to re-check, tried putting the same in my geyser line, ac line and more.
- Ultimately I had to call my electrician, he pointed out the fault is in the scrubbing machine. But the technicians did not believe him, and kept on trying until the main fuse of my entire house got cut.
- What pisses me off, is after trying for hours with my electrical system, they called their own company electrician and he figured that yes the machine is spoilt.
-They then went back to their office got another scrubbing machine and that machine, worked perfectly with each and every switch of my house.
- But by then the damage was done and major areas of my house did not have electricity.
- The new machine arrived at my place at 6 pm, and they started their scrubbing work at 6:15 which went on till 9 pm.
- Since the technician and I were all exhausted, with the harassment that took place, ultimately they did the major areas and then left.
- If this machine problem wouldn't have been there, cleaning would have been much better without any hassle.
-Ultimately the technician's staple dialogue was ( Ja parbo kore dichi), result of fatigue. Leading to average end result.
- My entire family is now facing the brunt of my decision to book Clean My Place, as I really thought it would be good to hire them.
- I spent Rs. 6200 for this deep cleaning service, wasted so much of my time behind them and now again would spend Rs. 3k to solve the electricity mess they created.
- The only thing Clean My Place did after damaging my wiring system is say 'Sorry'.'
