Department of Coffee

I have reached this calm coffee shop quite a few times, on each trip of mine to Muscat. I got the coffee and foods excellent with nice and friendly atmosphere . The bartender is really experienced.

We had a very pleasant experience at the Dept of Coffee. This place opens very early. We reached by around 7:30 AM. The staff was friendly and cordial. We ordered the breakfast burrito, Shakshuka and the Fix which is a mix of beetroot hummus, guacamole and salad. The food was fresh and tasty. We then ordered a Cinnamon Honey Oat milk Latte, a Spanish Latte and Hot Chocolate. They offered 2 choices for the coffee beans and we went with the medium roasted Brazilian beans. The coffee tasted good with a touch of chocolaty and nutty flavour with no bitter after taste. The price is slightly on the higher side but the experience was nice and pleasing.

Nice coffee in a very quiet place. Suitable for working and business meetings.

Department of Coffee is a wonderful restaurant with speciality coffee and excellent high quality matcha by Casa Cura. Food and beverages are both equally impressive. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the pumpkin salad. It exceeded expectations in presentation and taste. We also had the avocado toast, salmon filet, and hamour puttanesca. Had a wonderful experience. Would definitely come back again!

The flat white was delicious, with a rich coffee flavor and served at just the right temperature definitely well made. I’ll gladly come back and try it again. The café itself has plenty of seating, making it a good spot to study or work. It was quiet, cozy, and also offered free Wi-Fi, which was a nice bonus. The only downside is that parking isn’t free, but aside from that, it’s a great place I’d recommend.

Top on the charts for coffee in muscat . Nice ambience , taste and fresh coffee . Inspired by the staff , all are taking care of you with high standards. This place is in my list during every visit to Oman . Highly recommended and a must go.

I really like this place. The coffee is good the food is actually really really good. I ordered a salad and quesadillas. Both were 10/10. The ambiance is lovely as well.

Lovely coffee. Has a very wide and varied range of coffees, which I really appreciate as every other cafe usually sells the same things. I had a honey oatmilk latte and it was yum - not too sweet, not too strong but perfect.
