A beautiful and iconic colonial-era building right in the heart of Colombo. The architecture is stunning, especially when lit up at night. Surrounded by scenic gardens and close to Viharamahadevi Park, it’s a great spot for photos or a peaceful walk. A must-see landmark if you’re exploring the city!

Colombo Town Hall, a lovely 1928 British colonial building in Colombo 7, impresses with its grand look and nearby Viharamahadevi Park. Perfect for photos and a quiet walk. It’s close to a major bus station with routes to many places. Maintenance could be better, and it’s often busy. Worth a visit, especially for an evening walk.

Stumbled upon the Colombo Town Hall while exploring the city, and I'm really glad I did! The building is super impressive - looks a bit like a mini version of the White House with its grand white dome and colonial architecture. You can't always go inside, but even from the outside, it's a great spot for some quick photos and a quiet moment. The grounds are well-kept, and there's a nice green space right across from it (Viharamahadevi Park), which makes it a peaceful area to relax for a bit. It's not a major tourist attraction, but if you're into architecture or just walking around the city, it's definitely worth a quick stop.

I absolutely love this place.. townhall is the heart of Colombo city.. this is view of infront of colombo CMC. It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. The Colombo Municipal Council is an government adminstrative structure. However, its architecture is neoclassical style and it resembles the Capitol building of Washington DC. This is a famous landmark and iconic building. It is located in front of Viharamahadevi Park, earlier known as Victoria park. Good for photography, especially exterior view.

When I was a kid, my mother showed me this beautiful white classic building in Colombo and told me it is the White House Of Sri Lanka. Still whenever I see this building I remember that.
