Cupola of the Chain

The Dome of the Chain is right next to the famous and monumental Dome of the Rock. It is an open pavilion that you can walk into to view the beautiful inner copula. Give it a few minutes viewing during your visit

"Dome of the Chain" was named after the iron chain that sits in the middle of its dome and is located east of the Dome of the Rock mosque, about 3 meters away from its Eastern gate. It is a small beautifully decorated and shaped structure with only pillars and no walls. It has 17 pillars in total. 11 of them are connected to an outer circle, and 6 of them are connected to an inner circle. They are all connected in a way that allows the spectator to see each and every pillar without any covering the other, while also containing a very special Mihrab/Niche. It was a place where the Prophet David peace be upon him used to handle judicature cases and it was given the moniker "The Court of David". The Dome of the Chain was constructed at the time of the Umayyad dynasty when the caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan reigned.

letaknys persis di sebellah kiri masjid kubah emas, seolah belum jadi, bentuknya mirip persis dengan masjid kubah emas hanya kecil dan tidak berdinding, jadi sangat terbuka, banyak orang yang beristirahat dibawahnya. sejarah apa yang tersimpan di dalamnya, menjadi kurang tahu krn tidaak diceritakan dan bukan menjadi empat utama yg dikunjungi. yang pasti keberadaanya semakin membuat lengkap dalam komplek masjidil Aqsho.

Купол пророка Ибрагима - другое название этого места. Очень красивая мозаика, обязательно возьмите грамотного арабского гида, дабы тот смог прочесть и перевести надпись под куполом полностью и без сокращений!
