Dajue Temple

This is a historical Buddhist Monastery with beautiful gardens, a Shaoxing cuisine restaurant and a Tea house. The bad thing is both of the restaurant and the Tea house are very expensive. The Tea house became empty almost every day because they prefer making money instead of service quality. The good thing is the taste of Longjing Shrimp at the restaurant remains unchanged. (Longjing Shimp is a signature dish in Shaoxing cuisine. It's stir-fried shrimps with Longjing tea.) The ticket to the Monastery is not cheap as well. So now you can only appreciate the nice garden scenery and savor the delicious Shaoxing cuisine if your wallet can afford it.

这是一座重新修缮的古庙，历史极其悠久，现在的建筑是几百年有的，近年被做了一次修旧如旧的修缮，非常成功，有些历史上破坏的文物也被复原了，现在也看不出来是被修缮过的建筑，非常成功! 这是一座没有僧人的庙宇，现在被北京旅游部门管理着，有餐馆和茶馆还有住宿，茶馆按位收费，每位120元吓死我了。茶馆的消费出了名的贵，十几年前就是很贵的地方。 秋天寺里的银杏树特别漂亮，很多人穿着古装来这里拍照，对了，还有很多干净漂亮的可爱喵咪。

Ce temple peu connu est situé au Nord-Ouest de Pékin dans un endroit calme, près d'un petit village avec ses artisans qui vendent des poivres et autres amandes. Un peu loin de la grande ville, un peu moins spectaculaire aussi, il ne figure pas dans le "Top 10" des temples à visiter, mais il est doté de très belles statues et aussi de très beaux arbres dont un au moins est millénaire. Cet éloignement permet une visite sans cohue et sereine, ce qui est assez rare aujourd'hui.

A beautiful old temple nestled in a scenic location. It's English name is the "Temple of Great Awakening' or the "Temple of Enlightenment". Getting here is easy just catch metro line 16 to Anheqiao north station (安河桥北站) and then catch a taxi to the temple. Beautiful ginkgo trees and magnolias fill the temple grounds a great day trip out of Beijing.

大觉寺位于醇亲王墓东南的旸台山麓，为辽代巨刹，金代同样被纳入“西山八大水院”之中，称“清水院”，明代奠定了今日大觉寺之规模与格局。全寺占地约4万平方米，坐西朝东，依山势而建，体现了辽代契丹人的太阳崇拜习俗。建筑群东西长约400米，南北宽约100米，分为中路、北路和南路。中路沿中轴线由东向西依次为影壁、山门、放生池、天王殿、大雄宝殿、无量寿佛殿、大悲坛、舍利塔、龙潭及龙王堂，两侧有碑亭、钟鼓楼、配殿等，背倚群山如屏，形势殊胜。南路为清代行宫，包括四宜堂、憩云轩等园林式建筑群，今天成为京城颇为著名的茶室。北路为僧人居舍包括方丈院、香积厨等。主轴线上大雄宝殿、无量寿佛殿皆为明代原构，且木构架及门窗彩绘褪尽，露出木材原色，朴素淡雅，极富古意，也更加符合现代建筑师之审美趣味。二殿之间植有一株数百年银杏，遮天蔽日。全寺的精华则是殿后的园林，园内古树参天，泉流淙淙。其中白塔、龙潭及龙王堂形成一组经典的园林构图。舍利塔位于全寺最高处，成为大觉寺的标志。该塔为典型的藏传佛教覆钵式白塔，通高约15米，造型优美，比例修长，比之妙应寺及北海白塔都更为苗条、纤秀。塔旁植有一松一柏，均为500年以上之古木，与白塔共同构成“松柏抱塔”之佳境。白塔后为一座方形小池，古称“龙潭”，周围绕以石雕栏板，清冽之山泉自石雕螭首流出，汇为碧潭，潭水倒映白塔，美不胜收——此龙潭为金代“清水院”难得的遗存，堪称全寺意境最佳处。潭后有二层小楼曰“龙王堂”，两侧有假山石阶可登楼俯瞰白塔及园景。此一塔、一潭、一楼，均极其小巧可人，造型呈一高、一低、再一高之势，由塔下可欣赏潭中楼之倒影，于楼上可俯瞰潭中塔影，意趣横生，为京城诸寺所难得一见。清雍正帝《御制大觉寺诗》道出大觉寺园林之佳境：“翠微城外境，峰壑画图成。寺向云边出，人从树杪行。香台喧鸟语，禅室绕泉鸣。日午松阴转，钟传说偈声。”

秋天一定要來看千年銀杏樹，真的很美！而且此處較偏遠旅客較少，建議包車來訪

豆瓣上看到别人拍的很美丽的银杏叶，结果周末跑去看，有些失望，可能是因为人很多的缘故，显得有些热闹。
