Masjid Jahan Numa is a truly magnificent and peaceful place to visit. The architecture is stunning, with grand domes, tall minarets, and beautiful details that reflect the rich history of Old Delhi. Standing in the courtyard, you really feel the scale and importance of this iconic mosque. Despite being located in a very busy area, the atmosphere inside is calm and spiritual. It’s a great place to pause, reflect, and appreciate the history and craftsmanship. The views from the mosque, especially from the minaret, are incredible and give a unique perspective of Old Delhi. Overall, Masjid Jahan Numa is a must-visit landmark for anyone interested in history, culture, and architecture. A powerful and memorable experience.

It is a must visit for someone visiting Delhi due to its iconic status. It is a magnificent structure with big open area in the center for offering namaz. It is relatively clean but needs our support to keep the surroundings clean. The route to the masjid is however cramped with very narrow road. It is better to park cars near Red fort parking and then visit the masjid by e-rickshaw.

Easily accessible by metro. Such Majestic center dome and a must place to visit in delhi. Better to visit either early or in the late evening when it is less crowded, but best in the evening when the streets are bustling with shops. For some duration in the day, ladies are not allowed in the masjid, also during Namaz time. The masjid is also the largest in india built with red stone and the courtyard is so expansive that it can easily occupy 10k plus people. The surrounding walls have beautiful decorations. The masjid also has a small water pool in front of the dome area. The area around the masjid is best for shopping. Lanes of street shopping for clothes and food is exquisite. I have never tasted such pure Rabdi sweet in my life (this is to the north side/metro side exit of the masjid). Karim's is towards the main gate or east side-never had such tasty red meat in life. There are lot of other non-veg and sweet shops in the matia mahal road.

Jama Masjid is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Delhi. The mosque’s grand architecture, made of red sandstone and white marble, shows the true excellence of Mughal design. The tall minarets and wide courtyard create a very calm and spiritual atmosphere. The courtyard is spacious and can accommodate thousands of people, making it feel open and serene. From the top of the minaret, the view of Old Delhi is breathtaking and gives a unique experience of the city’s charm. The surroundings reflect rich history and culture, making the visit very meaningful. Visiting Jama Masjid gives a deep sense of peace and respect for India’s heritage. It is not only a place of worship but also a symbol of unity, history, and architectural beauty. A must-visit destination for anyone exploring Delhi.

Jama Masjid is truly one of the most majestic and peaceful landmarks in India. Standing in front of this grand mosque, you instantly feel the weight of history, culture, and spirituality. The massive architecture, intricate carvings, and vast courtyard make it an absolute masterpiece of Mughal design. The view from the top is breathtaking — you can see the entire Old Delhi skyline, bustling streets, and iconic Red Fort in the distance. Early mornings and evenings are especially beautiful, when the light creates a magical atmosphere around the mosque. The surrounding lanes of Old Delhi add to the experience, with delicious street food, lively bazaars, and traditional charm everywhere. Visiting Jama Masjid is not just sightseeing — it’s a journey into history and heritage. A must-visit place in Delhi for travelers, photographers, and culture lovers. Highly recommended!

This place is great. The indian people are curious and they were listening to our english guide. The people were funny there they rarely see european people and they often ask for a picture or a selphie. The people were looking at as like they have never seen other people. It was a little bit scary. You CANNOT enter with shoes but you can buy helpful things at the entrance.

The Courtyard: The massive open-air courtyard can hold 25,000 people. Standing in the center, you get a 360-degree view of the three marble domes and two towering minarets that define the Old Delhi skyline. The Minaret Climb: For about ₹100, you can climb the narrow, winding stairs of the southern minaret. The view from the top is arguably the best in the city—it’s a chaotic, beautiful patchwork of the Red Fort, the dense lanes of Chandni Chowk, and the modern city beyond.
