We have been coming to the dolphin hotel for over 7 years and we leave with big smiles every time. The location is perfect, close to the bazzar, to the food courts and to transportation if you like to see more of the city. The people working there will always help you no matter what time of the day and the owner of the hotel is beyond helpful and polite. It is clean and whatever you need is available at the hotel :) i highly recommend the dolphin hotel for many reason and we will definitely come back. Thank you so much for this time and we will be going back in a few months.

Very suitably located in the heart of Sulaymaniyah, there are a myriad of different museums within walking distance. There are also many different bazaars and malls very close to the hotel. Food options nearby are plentiful with various different outlets open around the clock. The hotel itself is extremely clean, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The pricing is cheap and more than fair for the cleanliness and level of customer service you get. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to help you out. There is both tea and water provided free of charge. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Sulaymaniyah!

The hotel has a perfect location right in the city center – the bazaar and evening food markets are just a few steps away, so everything you need is within easy reach. The accommodation is simple and offers basic facilities, but it’s absolutely fine if you’re staying for one or two nights. A big thank you to the owner, who speaks very good English and is always willing to help with anything you need. Starting from what’s good: few steps away from the city center, low prices (30 000 IQD for a single room), free drinks (water and tea), card payment. The room is not pretty and has a view on a wall so don’t expect much sunlight. The toilet is a whole in a floor. The walls are very thin - you will hear perfectly your neighbours. Plus the clock is annoyingly ticking just above your head and water is dropping somewhere in the pipes all the time. Wifi sometimes works ok, sometimes it is gone for 10 minutes. Hot water in a shower is a lottery. Two receptionists I was speaking two barely spoke any english. When I asked about a way to get to Slemani Terminal they only advised a taxi, when I myself found out about minibus they weren’t able to help my locate the bus stop, had to ask people on the Street. The room seems clean, but I had two roommates - cockroaches.

The Dolphin is conveniently located right in the heart of Sulaymaniyah's lively old city. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and polite. The manager, Shah, is very knowledgeable of the city and happy to help you find whatever you need. I would recommend this spot for all travelers visiting the city.

Have stayed here in the past. Standards are as high as ever,and many hotels in this part of the world could learn a thing or two about how to clean a room,cleanliness is amazing. Thank you Shah and your staff for all your hospitality,see you again.

El dueño ha sido muy atento en todo momento. Nos ha facilitado mucha informacion. Nos ha puesto en una habitacion mas grande sin coste alguno. Ademas de facilitar el parking. 100% recomendable.

I like this hostel and would like to come back someday. The location is perfect. There are a lot of restaurants and shops around it. The room is clean and cozy. The owner is very very kind. He suggested me about tourism and transportation. Thanks a lot!!!

Vraiment un super endroit! Très Bien situé juste en marge du bazar Ce que j'ai le plus apprécié c'est que c'est très très propre! BRAVO ça fait du bien. Le meilleur hôtel qualité/prix de tout mon séjour au Kurdistan (et aussi de tout l'Iraq) Shah le propriétaire a été extrêmement généreux de son temps pour me donner des bons conseils. Je recommande fortement cette adresse. Parfait hôtel pour visiter cette ville si intéressante qu'est Slemani Je vais revenir! Shah continue ton bon travail 🐬👍

Wir haben 2 Nächte im Hotel Dolphin verbracht. Der Besitzer wie seine Mitarbeiter haben wir äußerst herzlich und hilfsbereit erlebt. Das Zimmer sowie Badezimmer war sehr sauber und in den Betten war der Schlaf erholsam und gut. Was wir sehr geschätzt haben war, dass wir unser Motorad auf einem eingezäunten Parkplatz, unweit des Hotels sicher parkieren konnten. Ebenfalls dass wir uns jederzeit mit Chai und frischem Trinkwasser aus dem Kühlschrank bedienen durften. Die Fussnähe des Basars, der Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten war großartig. Vielen Dank für die herzvolle Gastfreundschaft. Wir können diesen Ort wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Good and comfortable hotel with excellent service. The owner, Shah, is a respectful person and helps with everything. The hotel staff are all good. The location is excellent and in the city center, close to everything. The prices are reasonable compared to neighboring hotels with the same star rating. I enjoyed my a month stay there.

Shah is a good man! Twice while staying there I had an emergency that made me have to cancel the remaining days that I booked, and without charging me a fee he immediately provided me my whole money back with no questions asked. Plus, he was always helpful, and resolved any issues that I may have had during my stay. For me it's important to have trust and comfort while being abroad in a different country living and sleeping in a place that isn't home. And Shah made my stay in his building comfortable and secure. That's important so a 5 star from me!

The owner speaks good English and has a lot of travel experience, he can always be reached for information and help. You can take the card with his contact details on the check-in desk. He also manages a facebook group for travellers in Kurdistan. In this group there is also a lot of information on things to see. The location of the hotel is great, in the old centre, the wifi is fast, the price is good. There is a parking lot.

I recently stayed at Dolphin Hotel in Sulaymaniyah for 4 days and had a pleasant experience overall. Pros: • Clean and Comfortable Rooms: The room was tidy, well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping was consistent throughout my stay. • Friendly Staff: The receptionists and staff were polite, helpful, and spoke both Kurdish and English. They responded quickly to requests. • Great Location: The hotel is located in a central area with easy access to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. • Wi-Fi and Amenities: The Wi-Fi was stable and fast. The room had all the basic amenities I needed, including air conditioning, a mini fridge, and a kettle.

Clean, quiet, comfortable beds and knowledgeable staff. Located in the very centre but still quiet as its up a lane way. I'm a solo woman and felt completely safe being out at night in the area too. I spoke with the owner a lot and he has travelled for most of his life so he knows what's important for travellers. He offered great, honest advice and their ig has videos of all the tourist sites in Kurdistan so you can plan your entire trip. Would give 6 stars if I could just for how friendly everyone was 😀

Shah, the owner, is very nice and extremely reliable man. The location of his hostel is at the city centre perfect for exploring surroundings and the rooms are comfortable. Can only recommend!

غرف صغيرة جدا لا تصلح للعائلة .الغرف غير معزولة يمكن سماع صوت الاشخاص الذين يتكلمون في الغرف الثانية لايوجد هدوء في الفندق لا تستطيع اخذ راحتك داخل غرفتك .بعض السبالت بيه صوت مزعج دون معالجة الامر .السعر غير مناسب 40 الف اليوم لشخصين اذا تدخل الصبح لازم تخرج الساعه 12 ظهراً لو تجدد اشتراك مع هذه السلبيات. لايوجد مصعد كهربائي في الفندق
