Dubai Municipality Museum

Free entry. The staff explained to us the history of the municipality. Then we sat down to watch a reel on Dubai. Was indeed informative.

Dubai Museum is really astounding. It is located near the Dubai Creek and surround by ancient type of houses. Dubai truly preserve and respect their culture and history. Dubai Museum reflects the life, tradition and beliefs of ancestors living in the Emirates. It is like a time travel experience looking to all the displays, wax figures and historical handicrafts featured in the Museum.

Nice experience and explanation from the staff at the museum. Very passionate and knowledgeable on all the things. Explained to us almost everything that we saw at the museum. They are very friendly and show us the nearby area of the museum too. It just took us around 20mins for the museum tour. Overall is good experience at the museum

يعود تاريخ إنشاء متحف بلدية ⁧‫#دبي‬⁩ إلى العام 1957، حيث تألّف حينها من طابق أرضي يضمّ مجموعة محال تجارية، قبل أن يُضاف إليه الطابق العلوي الذي خُصّص مسكنًا للتجّار، وقد انتقلت مكاتب بلدية دبي إلى هذا المبنى في العام ذاته وأصبح مقرًّا للبلدية حتى العام 1964

Opened in 2006, this free of charge museum teaches you about the stages of development of Dubai’s Civic body since the UAE became an independent nation in 1957. You can also learn about the building which houses the museum—significant as this was the Municipality’s main office in the 1950’s. The balcony inside overlooks the Creek and is the perfect spot for an overhead shot of the area.

I přes historickou hodnotu budovy a místnosti, kde se tvořili dějiny mesta, uvidíte pouze 10 minutové video o budování Dubaje. Pro malé děti zbytečná zajizdka. Mnohem zajímavější je trh se zlatem nebo kořením pár metrů dál.
