A truly special place in Jerusalem. Not just a café or a bookstore, but an international meeting point for people interested in history, journalism, politics, culture, religion, and the Middle East. The selection of books is outstanding, especially regarding Jerusalem, Israel, Palestine, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, history, and international affairs. You immediately notice that many intelligent, educated, and open-minded people come here. The Palestinian gentleman I spoke with was extremely kind, calm, and highly educated. He gave excellent book recommendations and took time for real conversation, which I appreciated very much. The atmosphere is unique. Upstairs there is a very peaceful and comfortable seating area, perfect for reading, reflecting, studying, or simply enjoying the calm energy of Jerusalem. The teas and cold drinks are excellent — especially the lemon mint drink, which was very refreshing. What also makes this place special is the international atmosphere. Journalists, students, travelers, writers, and people from many different countries seem to meet here. It feels like a place where cultures, ideas, and perspectives connect through books and conversation. For me personally, the address on Salah ad-Din Street number 19 also had a symbolic connection, which made the experience even more memorable. A beautiful place full of knowledge, respect, culture, and humanity. Definitely worth visiting more than once when in Jerusalem. Highly recommended.

The coffee maker (in the picture) is polite and will serve you immediately, breakfast juices and salads available too. And you’ll relax in the shadow among books in an intimate atmosphere. 8 small tables for a couple, not for noisy groups!

It's actually two bookshops. One is for schoolbooks and buying writing equipment and the other is an English bookshop and a cafe. Nice and calm atmosphere, excellent for drinking, reading and laptop-working. The owner, Mr. Mahnoud Muna, is also very friendly.

Amazing gem located near the old city that will leave you inspired by the rich culture of this blessed land through a collection of books like no other. Whether you are just browsing, having a coffee or chatting to the owners the sanctuary of this oasis in a turbulent city will leave you with solace and a longing to return.

I could have bought a dozen books I liked there. Found one immediately. I had lovely coffee and home made poppy cake which were both delicious. I will be buying online from them when I get home.

A great selection of book. The selection of book in English on topics around Palestine were really great, a good curated collection in one place - unfortunately ran out of time to pick up a book before heading home but will revisit on further trips to Palestine. We enjoyed good coffee in the outdoor seating area, great for just observing!

Fantastic and unique book store and coffee shop! Ahmad and his family have created a really beautiful and cozy space with an incredible selection of books that could keep you in there for days. Every time I went I had interesting conversations there and lots of laughter too. Definitely recommend going there for an afternoon!

A lovely bookshop with a befitting name. The owner is very helpful and will provide you with some incredible recommendations on local literature, and not to mention, a good cup of coffee. A great selection of literature about Palestine and Jerusalem. I left with multiple great (and educational) reads that were not easily found elsewhere. Would love to visit again.

Great selection of books in English about the Palestine-Israel region and its history and conflict. Also super selection of fiction in English and also Arab writers translated into English. Friendly staff. Well worth the little jaunt to purchase books unavailable in the states or elsewhere. There's also a cafe and an upstairs seating area; I was too busy perusing books to take advantage. Highly recommend a visit while in Jerusalem!!

Such a great place! You should definitely visit this bookshop, if you are searching for interesting books in English or German or you just want to read something while drinking a coffee and eat sandwiches or cake. Ahmad is running this bookshop in third generation and is an awesome person who knows a lot about anything.
