The Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Complex (ISOICO) is a special economic zone established over an area of 1,100 hectares, located 37 kilometers west of Bandar Abbas along the Persian Gulf coast. This zone, considering its natural and geographical features, includes a calm basin covering 380 hectares, as well as benefiting from legal facilities of the special zone to promote the development of the industry and trade within the shipbuilding, offshore industries, marine structures, downstream industries, and the establishment of factories related to shipbuilding. The goal is to generate economic, social, regional, and national benefits, while utilizing the latest relevant technologies to increase employment opportunities. Geographically, this zone has access to international waters via the Persian Gulf and can reach all parts of the world through Bandar Abbas using land, rail, and air routes. Due to its proximity to Shahid Rajaee and Shahid Bahonar ports, which handle the majority of the country’s imports and exports, it is regarded as a strategic bottleneck. Given the annual transit of thousands of vessels through the Persian Gulf, the zone not only supports the construction of various types of ships but also plays a significant role in the repair of different vessels. ................................................................... مجتمع کشتی سازی و صنایع فراساحل ایران یک منطقه ویژه اقتصادی درمحدوده ای به مساحت 1100 هکتار در 37 کیلومتری غرب بندرعباس و در ساحل خلیج فارس ایجاد شده است . این منطقه با توجه به موقعیت طبیعی ، جغرافیایی و برخورداری از حوضچه آرامش به مساحت 380 هکتار وهمچنین برخورداری از تسهیلات قانونی منطقه ویژه به منظور توسعه صنعت و تجارت درمحدوده صنایع کشتی سازی و صنایع فراساحل و سازه های دریایی و همچنین صنایع پایین دستی و ایجاد کارخانجات مرتبط با امر کشتی سازی و تامین منافع اقتصادی، اجتماعی، منطقه ای، ملی و استفاده از آخرین فن آوری های مرتبط افزایش شغل ایجاد شده است . از نظر جغرافیایی این منطقه از طریق خلیج فارس به آب های بین المللی و از طریق بندرعباس با استفاده ازراه های زمینی ، ریلی و راه های هوایی به اقصی نقاط دنیا دسترسی دارد. این منطقه به دلیل نزدیکی با بنادر شهید رجایی و شهید باهنر که بیشترین واردات و صادرات کشور از این بنادر انجام می شود همانند یک گلوگاه استراتژیک تلقی می شود و باتوجه به تردد هزاران شناور به صورت سالیانه در خلیج فارس میتواند علاوه بر کمک به ساخت انواع شناورها، کمک شایان توجهی در جهت تعمیرات شناورهای مختلف انجام دهد.
