The BEST place I have eaten in Kathmandu. Totally yummy. If you want to feel good physically, spiritually, compassionately, and environmentally, eat here for sure. The vegan cashew cake is sooooo good. Beet juice, yes please. Thali set veg, more more more.

Over the course of a month, this restaurant became our favourite go‑to for both lunch and dinner—it truly stood out for us in Kathmandu. The fresh, healthy salads, great vegetarian options, and yummy momos we couldn’t get enough of were consistently delicious. The service was outstanding, thanks to the friendly and welcoming team who looked after us so well. We especially enjoyed the Beetroot & Ginger juice and the Super Veg salad, and loved that this was the first place we had lunch on arrival and the last dinner before leaving—a perfect way to bookend our stay. The partially covered seating area on the 3rd floor, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Thamel, offered a wonderful haven of calm and a relaxed vibe. And to top it off, the resident cats, always ready for a cuddle, added a touch of charm to every visit. Namaste 🙏

Hace casi un mes que estoy de viaje por India y ahora Nepal. Amo estos lugares y sus comidas pero tanto tiempo comiendo así me canso y me resultó muy difuso encontrar lugares que tengan algo tan simple como una ensalada de verdes y comida natural, saludable. Amé este lugar, comí una ensalada de kale exquisita, con jugo de remolacha y jengibre riquísimo y de postre vegan cashew cake que estaba un mil de rica, no se pueden ir sin probar esta delicia 🫶🏽👌🏾

Owner operated by the lovely husband and wife team of Prava & Sanjay, this rooftop cafe/bar is consistently some of the best food in Thamel. Food speaks for itself. Fresh, seasonal, made to order. Nicoise salad was perfection. Nepali thali set seasonal and delectable. Cashew cake always sells out so get in quick. Peanut sadeko converted the newbies. We had a table of 7 the first visit and understandably the food took a while, but it was absolutely worth the wait. So much so that we all went back multiple times during our stay in KTM. Prava and Sanjay are also warm and friendly and professional, as are their staff. So it's wonderful to support a place that's locally owned, where the owners are active in the cafe everyday and where the food always meets there standards. Tea is loose leaf, and the teapot is generous. Plus, the resident cat is a cuddle-bug. Loved coming here solo and getting cat purrs with with Panna Cotta.

C'est une amie qui nous a montré ce lieu un peu caché et je le recommande à mon tour à 100% ! Leurs salades sont délicieuses (j'ai goûté la mexicaine), l'ambiance est très sympa avec la terrasse et toutes les plantes qui s'y trouvent. De la même manière, le service était parfait et aux petits soins - aussi étant donné que nous étions seules à l'heure à laquelle nous y sommes allées.

I don't understand all the hype. It's too expensive for what you get. The salad portion was very small – essentially just a few pieces of beetroot, some apple, greens, a few nuts, and a tiny bit of cheese. And it took almost half an hour to prepare. Definitely overpriced. The cashew cheesecake was partially thawed, with a noticeable icy crunch inside. While I enjoyed the rooftop ambiance and the view, I won't be returning for a second visit and cannot recommend it for a good food.

A perfect dinner to finish a memorable time in Nepal. The rooftop setting, comfortable seating, expertly cooked food, nicely mixed drinks and charming staff. Bravo to all concerned. Thank you for making our evening special.

One of the best restaurants I've tried in Kathmandu! The food is fresh, plenty of salads, greens and healthy options. And all the dishes I've tried are packed with flavour. I loved it here so much that I've come back 5 times over 6 weeks of stay in Nepal. Staff are also really friendly and attentive, supported in service by the local cat Suri. The veggie pasta and the vegan cashew cake were my favourite options. Totally recommended!

Perfect traditional Nepali food with a sexy modern atmosphere and really warm friendly staff. I am so thrilled to return here after 4 years and find my favorite dishes from my last experience. Try the Khaja set for something truly unique.

We absolutely loved the food and atmosphere here! We even went back multiple times. If you’re looking for a cozy spot to relax, I recommend visiting in the afternoon and enjoying the sunset. And for all you cat lovers out there, there are two adorable cats here who love to snuggle up right next to you.

So am staying in Kathmandu for a couple of days, spent the first day and a half meeting with old friends and enjoying the traditional Nepali cuisine. So wanted something different, a short walk from where we are staying is this lovely restaurant that serves up salads, it does other food but we went to detox from the festival food. We had a shared dish of different chicken and the had a salad. It was plenty we tried a couple of different beers 🍺. The place was quite busy but service was great and the food well prepared. If you end up in the Thamel area then this is a great change.

Forest and Plate never fails to impress. Without question, they serve the best steak and salad in Kathmandu — consistently fresh, flavourful, and cooked to absolute perfection. We tasted some of traditional and national plates in vegan version that we enjoyed a lot. We tasted vegan momo, peanut sadeko (cold salad with peanut) and khalija set (rice flakes with vegetables and pickeld veggies). They also have a vegan cake on the menu! The personeel is very informed about veganism. The place is on a terrace in mandala street that is a pedonal street in Kathmandu. There are also two cats, very cute that just want to be petted.

The best green salad after two weeks of dal bhat :) A very cozy terrace — calm and peaceful place, highly recommended. Fresh and delicious food.

L’ambiance était très calme et toutes ces plantes donnent un aspect très agréable! Nous avons mangé des salades (veggie , mexicaine) qui étaient bien garnies et très bonnes ! À recommander aussi grâce à un service impeccable! Joli moment ! Avons également entendu toute une table d’Allemands partir en disant qu’ils étaient très contents !!
