One of few Research Centers of University of Guilan as the basic and reference center for historical, cultural and also social research about Guilan and its people in north of Iran. The general purpose of this research center is to identify the basic categories of human sciences of the Guilan people in three urban, rural and nomads communities, which are referred to under the name of different ethnic cultures of other people. The sciences that are related to culture are diverse and require a thorough examination, and the study of these categories requires its own method, which anthropologists call interdisciplinary research.
