Go Native Chennai

The dishes were very blant and had no significant taste. I assume the ingredients are good , like cheese and paneer were good. But somehow as a dish, the taste was not satisfactory. I don't know if it's do with the choice of my dishes. I did attempt asking the staff for signature dish, nothing really helped. Certainly the ambience was very good and the place was crowded, which was indeed suprising to me.

One of the best vegetarian restaurants in chennai, the variety in menu are unique and the food from starter to dessert everything was yum and quantity was perfect too. Would surely recommend this restaurant to all the veg lovers out there.

Beautifully decorated with simplicity. A variety of dishes, very tasty- though heavy on the millet and other in trend food ! Definitely worth a visit.

Super food. Special menu for kids and babies. We fed our 11 months baby girl a dosa chutney. She loved it. They have high fair for babies/kids.

Food presentation -Good and fresh. Ambience- Inviting. Service -Courteous Menu- Wide range Taste - Some items are tasty like Sabudana Sweet Potato tikki...some are bland especially Guntur idli, Pumpkin Soup was not hot but taste wise delicious. Price- Expensive but worth trying for their innovation in preparation.

Went here for a dinner with family. Maybe they were having an off day but the food was average at best. We ordered the beetroot mochi, golgappa, gongura paneer tikka, akki roti and chefs desert platter. The desert platter was nice but the rest of the food lacked flavor. The service could improve as staff was preoccupied but they were nice. The ambiance was good.

Having been to Go Native in Bangalore, I was really looking forward to trying the Chennai branch, but honestly, it was quite disappointing. The food was pretty flavorless and nothing really stood out. For the price, it didn’t feel worth it at all. Overall, the experience just fell flat for me. Wouldn’t recommend.

This was my second visit, and once again, the experience was nothing short of spectacular. The food here is simply outstanding every dish feels like it is crafted with passion and perfection. The Chanda Falafel Bowl was exquisite, bursting with flavor and beautifully balanced. The coconut rice was fragrant and comforting, cooked to absolute perfection. The Paneer Lababdar was rich, creamy, and downright heavenly easily one of the best we had. The ambiance adds to the charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to linger longer. And the service deserves a special mention too, Vishal, Enos, and Zuli went above and beyond to make the afternoon dining experience delightful. Their attentiveness and friendliness truly elevated the evening.

We went to Go Native yesterday to celebrate a family occasion. We liked the place. Food was 50/50. To be specific, pizza, pasta, golgoppa and kids' burger were very good, and their Guntur idlis were the best. On the contrary, paneer cheese pops, hara bara sabudhana kebab, and veg momos are very ok. Kids liked the cold coffee and hot chocolate. The ambience was great, but the area where they made us sit did not have the AC switched on, and it was too sultry. After repeated complaints, they switched on one of the ac after 30 minutes. Every dish was super costly. For the above items, the final bill was around Rs. 4400. Definitely not worth it. We really miss the Lyfe restaurant, which was just opposite this place and has since shut down. Now coming to their shop below. You need to cross their shop to go to the restaurant. Disney theme park style? I’ve seen almost all the items and brands there as ads on Instagram. Everything was overpriced. If you look at the photo I posted, we bought a tiny flower vase shaped fridge magnet and asked them to bill it. To my shock, they charged a whopping Rs. 550 rupees for it. When I searched for a similar product on Amazon, I saw it was listed at Rs. 800 for eight pieces. It might not be the exact product, but it is also a very similar ceramic super tiny fridge magnet. Not at all worth it. I would not go back to this restaurant or shop. *OVERPRICED*

It was a very nice and different experience overall. The ambience was great and the food was amazing. The desserts were especially delicious and really stood out. A special mention to Vishal, our server, whose service was excellent. He was very attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a great dining experience. His hospitality made our visit even better

Good vegetarian food, great service, okay ambience in a walking distance in Alwarpet. Had been there twice already with family and friends. Restaurant has plenty of all vegetarian options with some indo Chinese fusion options. Good place, will go again. March 2026 Went again for lunch. Good food, options and friendly environment made it worthwhile.

Absolutely stunning food! Would highly recommend go native. We had the Khichidi and the Lotus root noodles and it really hit the spot. Parking near the restaurant, however, is hit or miss so come ahead of schedule!

Visited Go native and Tried the millet-based Garden Fresh pizza, stuffed soya chap starter, and the Vitamin Punch juice. Everything tasted great and felt genuinely guilt-free. Worth the price. Bishal’s service was warm and attentive—he even suggested sugar-free drink options, which we really appreciated. The ambience deserves special mention: calm, elegant, and subtly romantic. A perfect place for a relaxed and mindful dining experience.

Excellent food, ambience and service. Genuinely happy with the food we had. Loved that they had high protein and healthy options too. We tried seeded paneer tikki, a couple of juices, kombucha, golgappa, akki roti and jeera rice kadhi. All of these exceeded our expectations. Zuali was great and checked in on us a couple of times to make sure we are comfortable. Will visit again.

Had a mixed experience at the Go Native Restaurant, Chennai... The ambience is nice and had a rustic homely feel to it... The place had huge glass wall kinda setup so there was ample ambient light... Loved their dining setup and everything looked chic and rustic at the same time... The menu is exhausting... We were confused as to what to order as we were spoilt for choices... The Tender Coconut & Berry Punch was refreshing and the berry conpote really accentuated the Tender Coconut Water (10/10)... The Spiced Butter Milk (7/10) was thick and had a subtle hint of spices... I wish it was seasoned a bit more as it lacked the punch... The Golgappes (10/10) were really good and the mint buttermilk and tangy jeera paani were a nice mix of taste and experience... The Malabar Stuffed Mushrooms (9/10) were delicious and I guess the coconut cream on the top added a nice addition to the subtly spices outer coating with the decadent cheese stuffing... This was also undeseasoned but with the mint chutney the dish tasted good. We had high hopes for the Jack Fruit Donne Biriyani (4/10) but it was underwhelming... The biriyani was under seasoned and under spiced... The jackfruit melted in my mouth but I felt it completely lacked any texture... The biryani felt more like a mid Mint Pulao with jackfruit cooked in mint chutney... I think something was lost in the conception of this dish... I liked the Service... They gave us enough space and respoded as soon as we got their attention... The dining experience felt relaxed and personal... The Prices were a bit high but understandable... Though there are dishes which show so much potential there are some which kinda feels underwhelming... I wish they would cut down their menu to a reasonable selection and concentrate more on the flavors... Would probably revisit this place if someone wants to try it out... Food - 6/10 Service - 10/10 Ambience - 10/10 Price - 8/10

Love this place! Wish I had more days in Chennai to try their many delicious-sounding, healthy and thoughtfully prepared dishes. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Had the Jain thali which was huge. They sent the bill in a very beautiful box with sweets. Will definitely come back here each time I visit Chennai.
