I was a regular customer of Hala Shawarma, Al Hamra Mall outlet. Today (22 April 2026), I visited and placed my usual order for two chicken shawarmas. However, I was given two beef shawarmas instead of chicken. Since my orders had always been correct before, I did not check the bill at the counter.
When I noticed the mistake, I went back and informed the counter staff. They replaced only one shawarma with chicken. When I requested the second one, they asked me to return the beef shawarmas, but by then I had already thrown them in the garbage bin. Before disposing of them, I had informed the staff member at the counter, and he did not mention that I would need to return them.
As a result, I paid for two chicken shawarmas but received only one. This is not about the 13 AED value of a shawarma — it is about customer respect and proper service handling. If returning the incorrect food was required, that should have been clearly communicated earlier.
Unfortunately, this experience has disappointed me greatly. I can no longer recommend this outlet, and I hope management will take better care in handling loyal customers and training staff appropriately.
