Signage is clear, which helps in navigating such a vast complex. Tip: Give yourself plenty of time for security, especially during peak holiday seasons, as queues can become quite long. Utilizing the airport app for real-time updates on gate assignments can also save a lot of walking. I had a very pleasant experience at Heathrow Airport. The airport is well organized, clean, and easy to navigate, making the entire travel process smooth and stress free. Easy accessible airport with many choices for shopping, but seems smaller than Manchester airport. Passing through borders doesn't require intense and rigorous checking of bags and luggages.

Heathrow Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world, and overall my experience was very good. The airport is well organized with clear signage, making it easy and comfortable to navigate between terminals. There are many shops, restaurants, and lounges available, which makes waiting time more enjoyable. Transportation options are excellent, with easy access to trains, buses, and taxis. The airport can be quite busy during peak hours, but everything runs smoothly and reflects a high level of professionalism in handling large numbers of travelers. Always my favourite airport to go too, I love the terminals, especially terminal 2 and 5, very clean and modern, quick check in and departures and staff are very kind in general. Very easy to navigate around and never had issues here. Highly recommend to pick this airport to fly from out of all of the other London airports just for the convenience, cleanliness, and quick flow.

Heathrow is a wonderful airport. It is clean, modern, and efficient. The take off and landing views are spectacular and the airport has a great connection to London. I personally like to take the Elizabeth line which goes all the way from west to east London. Travelling on Christmas Day from T2 was very smooth and has left me with a positive impression of the airport.

Great experience at this airport. Large and rambling, but they really put systems in planned to move people efficiently. Good signage also. May I say as an aside that British Airways is a great airline! I really enjoyed my flight!

June 2026 5* Terminal 2 (Transfer) —————— Been to London airport couple of times in the past. This time It was stop over at London for my flight Toronto to Brussels. Terminal 2 is not big but still quite nice. Transfer was smooth. You may need to take long walk to security and border control. However it was not busy during late morning so quite fine. There is shopping area in the centre and restaurants for the food. You can access quite a good number of lounges. The place is fully accessible and washrooms are very clean. This what really matters at the airport.

There is an incredible selection ranging from luxury brands to everyday essentials, along with plenty of dining options that cater to different tastes and budgets. If you forget to pack something, whether it is a travel essential or even a gift, you can almost always find it at Heathrow without any hassle. The airport is huge and constantly busy, which can feel overwhelming at times, but it is managed so well that it rarely becomes stressful. Signage is clear, staff are generally helpful, and facilities are easy to access. Overall, Heathrow Airport delivers a smooth, efficient, and enjoyable travel experience, making it one of the best international airports I have visited.

For it to be the busiest or one of the busiest airports in London, I had a great departure and arrival experience with United Airlines. The departure was truly remarkable, security was quick and easy, didn’t even need to take out my liquids or laptop. I thought for sure my luggage would get searched because they had so many piled up waiting to be looked into after the body scan, even a bin that only had a pair of shoes which I found odd, but luckily I didn’t have that issue. The departure had a delayed boarding of 20 minutes but only left the gate 6 minutes late. I didn’t interact with a single person throughout my entire trip, aside from a guy in the line that checked my passport. I love that they have 3 gates that scan flight tickets when you board, makes the process so quick and easy. I visited two bathrooms, surprisingly both very clean and smelling good. Only downside is when you go to the B gates in terminal 2 that they don’t have any bars or restaurants which was okay for me, as I didn’t have much time before my flight just 45 minutes or so. The train experience was great and surprisingly not bad with the local train, wasn’t much of a time difference between that and the express train from central which makes less stops. Just a bit annoying that you have to wait up to 8 minutes for the train to leave terminal 4 (the first stop at the airport) to continue to the other terminals. Overall, I recommend.

My first impression of Heathrow Airport was not great. After my flight was canceled, I arrived here around 3 a.m. It was cold, most places were closed, and it was surprisingly difficult to find a place to sit. I eventually found a coffee shop and spent a few hours there waiting for the morning. But once security opened and I entered the departure area, it felt like a completely different world. The only thing I would suggest is cleaner seating areas, especially during the overnight hours. Bright, lively, and full of energy. Shops, restaurants, travelers from all over the world, and endless movement. Wow. The contrast between the quiet early-morning airport and the busy terminal a few hours later was unforgettable.
