Hoe Lee Kow – Lunch Review Chef Reif Othman brings his bold love for Korean BBQ with a creative, modern twist in this cosy little spot. The welcome was warm, and the service genuinely stood out — the team is extremely friendly and attentive. That said, the food overall didn’t quite land for me. The Haemul Pajeon (AED 58) came with too much batter and wasn’t the thin, crispy style I personally prefer. The kimchi was tasty but leaned very mild and slightly too sweet. Surprisingly, the highlight for me was the HLK Greens (AED 48) – light, fresh and actually very enjoyable. The seabass (AED 158) felt overpriced for what it offered, and the Strawberry Cheesecake Bingsu (AED 60) was pleasant but lacked depth of flavour. Service-wise – excellent. Food-wise – just okay for the price point. Parking is also a bit of a challenge: they have valet, but expect around a 20-minute wait when collecting your car plus an additional AED 10 charge. Had an unforgettable brunch at Hoe Lee Kow Dubai! The ambiance perfectly blends classy vibes with modern Korean aesthetics it truly feels like a little Seoul in the city. The food? Absolutely amazing packed with flavor, freshness, and authenticity. Every bite was a hit! The staff were incredibly accommodating, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Plus, the live band entertainment was top-tier such great energy! From start to finish, this place is a 10/10. We just had brunch at Hoe Lee Kow and it was truly exceptional. Every dish was bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and unlike anything we’ve had before. From the first bite to the last, the chef’s creativity and attention to detail were on display. The ambiance was spot on, stylish yet welcoming and the service was flawless. The servers were warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the meal. An unforgettable experience from start to finish. 5 ⭐️ is an understatement!

Okay, THIS is the best restaurant in Dubai Hills. Finally, a restaurant where I had trouble deciding which dish I wanted since there were so many good options! Usually I feel disappointed after going to some of the restaurants in the area, but Hoe Lee Kow was amazing! I definitely want to go back to try the other appetizing dishes. Plus, the cocktails were exciting, AND tasty! Not a common combination

Had a great time at the Sam-Cha Brunch at Hoe Lee Kow! The place has such a fun vibe, it was perfect for a weekend hangout. There was so much variety of Korean and Asian food, everything was super yummy and really good quality. The dishes were full of flavor and nicely presented. The cocktails were also a highlight, so so tasty. The staff were super friendly and made sure we had everything, so it made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a fun and delicious brunch in Dubai!

Whilst the decor was lovely, servers were attentive, and the valet experience was comfortable, the ambience of the place was a miss, due to the choice and volume of the background music, it gave the seating area the vibe of a fast-food joint. Also, for a michillen bib gourmand Restaurant, the food was mediocre, yet it was priced to meet my expectations, not priced to reflect my actual experience. Perhaps expectation was the thief of joy on this occasion.

A friend recommended this korean restaurant, we visited shortly after it opened. It's located in Dubai Hills Business Park, and free valet parking is available. The restaurant isn't very spacious or luxurious, it has more of a casual pub vibe, which doesn't really match the prices. The food here is better described as Korean fusion rather than Korean cuisine. We ordered bulgogi, angus striploon, Korean crispy squid, crispy prawn kimbap, and a bowl of rice each for two people. The portions were small and the prices quite high. Personally, I didn't find the food very tasty. The bulgogi was quite salty, and the striploin was just average. Overall, it was a disappointing meal. At these price, I'd recommend trying other Korean restaurant instead. On the bright side, the staff were friendly.

Had such a delightful experience at Hoe Lee Kow! From finger-licking perfectly crisp fried chicken to flavorful kimbap and juicy, tender BBQ meats, it's a must-visit spot for authentic taste and creative flair in every bite.

I went there looking for good Korean food. Overall the menu was well balanced. I forgot to take photos, but the Australian Angus Flank and Australian Angus Fillet were delicious. Other than that it's just bland and nothing particularly impressive. The sea urchin toast didn't need avocado or pickles. I felt it was a bit pricey for Korean food. This is probably because they use sea urchin and caviar.

The space at Hoe Lee Kow is beautiful and the staff is attentive and friendly. I had their business lunch and chose the Dak Bibimbap as my main and upgraded it to include appetizer, dessert, and coffee or tea. I went with beef mandu, which had an interesting cheese sauce with it, and the hot chocolate cake, which was rich and chocolatey. All of the items were tasty but nothing that really wowed me sadly. It was definitely Korean with a twist, and for now I think I prefer the traditional Korean way of things more than the fusion or modern take. Maybe I’ll simply have to revisit and try out some of their other items to have a more definitive conclusion about the restaurant. All in all, Hoe Lee Kow has potential. I didn’t love my first visit here but I’m planning to give it a second shot and see if the other items will change my mind. I do have to say that the business lunch here is a great deal.
