Just had an absolutely amazing meal at Indigo at Rotana Beach Hotel, Abu Dhabi. From the second we entered the restaurant the team catered to our every need. Pradip was our waiter who was attentive and his level of hospitality was above and beyond. We wanted to make a slight change to our meal and he ensured it was done with ease. We had a great seat in front of the kitchen where you can see the meals being prepared behind a glass screen. Mamun, the restaurant manager, came by to ensure we were not only having a pleasant meal and experience at the restaurant but our needs were being catered to. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely and relaxed, and there was an authentic feel to the place which also added to the experience. We had the tandoori chicken and the butter chicken. The flavours was delicious and cannot be faulted. Pradip went the extra mile to offer additional condiments which complemented our food and elevated the already beautiful flavours. Thank you to the team for not only for a wonderful meal, but also an enjoyable experience. We 100% recommend the restaurant and we hope to return again before the end of our trip.

I had an amazing experience at Indego! I’m a vegetarian and also avoid onion and garlic, and Chef Raj was incredibly helpful and attentive. He personally came to my table, asked about all the details of my preferences, and even suggested options that would suit me. He prepared delicious customized starters and a beautiful vegetable biryani exactly the way I needed it. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. Chef Raj has such a positive energy, very friendly, kind, and genuinely interested in making sure I enjoyed my meal. Thank you, Chef Raj, you truly made my day! 🙏✨

I was really not impressed by the food at Indigo. We ordered the Spinach chaat, Tandoori Chicken Tikka, and a lamb gravy that was the daily special. It came with dal fry and rice. The food flavours were nothing too good, average at best. Chicken tikka was not even that hot, had a lot of food color it seemed. The chaat was too sweet, the balance was totally off. The lamb gravy was just okay. Dal fry was decent. Service was good, but a little slow. I liked the lighting and the vibe, but I won’t go back again. Could do better.

Delicious meal at Indigo. Food not only beautifully presented but also tasted really good with authentic flavours. Raji was a fantastic host and made sure my elderly mum also had a wonderful dining experience. My only negative comment is I wish I had more room as the portions are big!

Beautiful resturant in a beautiful hotel. This was our favourite resturant in Rotana, lovely friendly staff (especially Raji) and the food was delicious!!! I recommend the avocado chaat to start and buttered chicken for mains. Yum yum!

Ambiance was pleasant. I was having lunch with my family at there outdoor sitting area near to beach. Food was great with lots of option. Want to appreciate Mamun Mia for his great service and attention to us.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Indigo in Beach Rotana. The restaurant itself is stunning, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel instantly comfortable. The food was outstanding—flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly prepared with great care. What truly made the evening unforgettable was the service. Raji went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality added so much to the dining experience. He anticipated our needs, gave great recommendations, and made us feel truly valued as guests. I highly recommend Indigo for anyone looking for exceptional food paired with five-star service. A big thank you to Raji and the team for making it such a memorable visit—I’ll definitely be coming back!

Chef Raj is truly a master of his art, the Samosa bites were incredible. Our waiter Raji is a professional, helping out with our food choices and providing a dining experience that we enjoyed on two occasions. Cannot fault this restaurant highly recommended.

Yesterday, we went to Indigo with a group of 10 people to celebrate the farewell of a family friend who is moving back to India permanently. We have visited this restaurant 4–5 times before, and every time we faced slow service. Still, we decided to give it one last chance. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Mr. Momun was assisting us. Firstly, he struggled to communicate properly in both English and Hindi and clearly needs basic training in customer interaction. As expected, the service was pathetic. Even simple items like chicken soup and green salad, which should not take more than 5 minutes, were served after almost 30 minutes. Snacks and main course were so delayed that it completely spoiled the experience. A few people in our group didn’t even eat the main course because of the long wait. Mr. Momun gave us a couple of complimentary curries to try, which were actually tasty. I politely asked if we could try one more, and his response was, “In a 5-star hotel, it doesn’t work like this.” This was extremely embarrassing for me in front of my family. What made it worse was that he repeatedly said (at least 5 times), “This is a 5-star hotel, have you never been to a 5-star hotel?” This was rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. The worst part came with the bill. The restaurant charged us for a bottle of Black Label worth AED 1500 (around USD 420), which we never ordered and never consumed. We were about to settle the bill when one of us noticed this charge. The staff had no explanation for it. They eventually removed it, but this raised serious concerns. It was not just bad service, but also a potential attempt to overcharge or scam customers. Overall, it was a horrible experience—from service to staff behavior to billing issues. Sadly, this was supposed to be a memorable farewell evening, and the restaurant completely ruined it.

I think Rajendra Singh is one of the best Indian Chefs that I have ever come across globally. His knowledge and style of cooking is far far superior. The food was totally delicious and scrumptious. The services offered by Mamun and Raji was absolutely outstanding. Such services and such excellent food are a true mark of a great restaurant.

Interesting one, let's start with he positives. Staff were excellent. Atmosphere good, not too loud, place can be the setting of an intimate dinner to a business lunch. Great view of the kitchen. A wide selection of gins and it is worth noting that you can get Italian beers on draft from the other restaurants delivered to the Indian restaurant. Ok now onto the food. The litmus benchmark dish at the pricier side of Indian restaurants is the lamb chops. Unfortunately for the price the lamb was dry but what made it weird was the coating they put on it. Dry but stodgy maybe spiced breadcrumbs with failed to crisp up. I really don't know as it was too dark to check. What brought the score up for the food was a good goan fish curry, chicken tikka masala, dhal and the avocado chaat. Almost redeeming back to a 3 out of 5 unfortunately the spinach chaat while beautiful in presentation had parts of the basket that were under cooked. Dense and hard while others light and crispy. Disappointing, maybe it was an off night, I would give it a try again.

Had a wonderful experience at Indigo Restaurant! The staff were very friendly, polite, and supportive throughout our visit, making us feel so welcome. The chefs truly deserve appreciation — the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Every dish was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. A great place to enjoy a lovely meal with excellent service. Highly recommend! 👏🍽️

My wife and I have been going to Indigo quite a few times in the past years and once again we had a very pleasant time on Valentine's evening. Food is the best indian food we can find in Abu Dhabi, very authentic flavors through the whole menu. But we must make an special comment regarding the outstanding, attentive and very pleasant attention Mammun offered us since we walked in the restaurant and all through our dinner. In one word, excellent!!

My favourite Indian in Dubai. Never disappointed. The virtual licked clean the plates each time. So glad they did the renovation a few year ago helped improve the atmosphere. Even bumped into the infamous Vineet.

We came here for our honeymoon and by far this was the nicest restaurant in the hotel and Raji has given us the best service we’ve ever received in any restaurant we’ve ever visited. The recommendations were perfect. The food was cooked to perfection. The manager even asked how everything was and we couldn’t be more grateful for such an amazing service and said our waiter was perfect. Great hospitality, great service and great knowledge of which foods compliment each other spending on the spice level you prefer.

We went to Indigo restaurant a couple of times in past few months. We prefer sitting outside in the evening. The ambience is great and the food is also very delicious. Mamun served us everytime. He is very nice and polite and good at his work. Whenever we have guests at our place, we make it sure that at least one meal we have at Indigo restaurant. We hope we keep enjoying the food at this restaurant always!

Great ambiance, awesome food and great staff at Indigo. I would like to mention Mr Harish who was so quick, perfect, and was always with smiling face who gets my 10/10. He just did the serving part perfect. Knowing from my phone call, he even kindly arranged a cake for my anniversary. Thank you so much, Harish and kitchen staff for such a great experience for family dinner.

Had a delicious meal at Indigo. And the service was impeccable Radu was great; attentive and v helpful with the menu! I would go back for sure.
