Ivy Overseas presents itself as a consultancy, but honestly, it feels more like a half-hearted setup rather than a professional service. The place looks newly opened, and from the way it is run, it’s very obvious that they still don’t have a grip on how a proper consultancy should function. Forget about guidance or real support—there’s hardly anyone even visiting the office for processing. It feels like a showroom that forgot to stock its products.
My overall experience here was pathetic. The workers seemed clueless, untrained, and completely uninterested in their own jobs. Communication was weak, and every question I asked was met with blank faces or vague responses. A consultancy is supposed to guide students and parents through important decisions like studying abroad. Instead, Ivy Overseas gave the impression that the staff themselves needed guidance on what they were doing. Calling them “consultants” feels like a stretch—they simply don’t know enough to be advising anyone.
And then there’s the environment itself. The only thing that stands out when you walk in is the strong smell of joss sticks. It’s almost as if they are trying to distract you with incense because they have nothing else to offer. No proper resources, no proper explanations, and no sense of professionalism. You don’t feel like you’re sitting in a consultancy; you feel like you’ve walked into someone’s living room where people are pretending to work.
It might be possible that this branch is worse than others, but the reality is that first impressions matter. If a consultancy cannot even train its staff or provide basic clarity, then how can anyone trust them with something as big as study-abroad processing? The lack of organization, lack of knowledge, and lack of genuine effort were all too obvious.
Overall, Ivy Overseas is one of the most unimpressive consultancies I’ve come across. New or not, there is no excuse for being this unprepared. Students and parents expect clear answers, proper guidance, and at least a minimal level of professionalism. What they get here instead is confusion, incompetence, and incense smoke. Unless this branch changes everything about how it operates, I honestly don’t see why anyone would choose to go here. Save yourself the frustration and find a consultancy that actually knows what it’s doing.
