Jetwing Jaffna

My visit to Jetwing Jaffna was truly satisfying. The restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly, caring, and attentive. They took wonderful care of my 3year old child and thoughtfully arranged food according to our specific needs. What made our stay even more special was the early check-in at 5 a.m., which they kindly arranged upon my request. Everything was well organized, and the team ensured we were comfortable from the moment we arrived. I also had the chance to enjoy my favorite Odiyal soup and Panangai paniyaram there ,it was absolutely awesome and brought such an authentic Jaffna taste to our experience. Thank you for the excellent hospitality ,we truly appreciated it!

My husband and I stayed at Jetwing Jaffna for two nights starting on 2 Feb 2026. We were greeted and welcomed warmly by the staff. We were taken to our rooms, which were cosy and comfortable. While holidaying in our homeland, we looked forward to typical Sri Lankan cuisine, and we were not disappointed. The dinner menu had a variety of dishes to satisfy all palates. The staff ( One name I remember as Shiraz) were very attentive and looked into our needs. All in all we had a very satisfactory stay at Jetwing Jaffna

We stayed two nights at Jetwing Jaffna and it was truly an amazing experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The bar also had a stunning outlook over the city. What really elevated this stay to a 5-star experience, however, was the restaurant manager, Kogalan. He was incredibly attentive, accommodating, and professional, and his team was equally exceptional. The meals were excellent, but it was the warmth, friendliness, and outstanding service from Kogalan and his team that made our stay so memorable. A good hotel stay can be forgotten, but genuine hospitality is remembered — and that is exactly what you all provided. Thank you for making our time in Jaffna so special. P.S. Service has exceptional, very prompt and efficient, however this did not extend to the sky lounge where we had to go up to the counter to order and then twice to check if the drinks and food were coming, cleanliness was also not up to mark at the sky lounge. Rooms are clean and comfortable but a little cramped with heavy furniture and not very practical. Good bathrooms though. Food was very good, and the Biriyani and burgers we got from room service were absolutely amazing. Location is right in the middle of town so it makes it easy to explore and find tuk tuks. A short walk to the Fort.

Given all the praise surrounding Jetwing Jaffna’s Saturday night Jaffna Cuisine Buffet, I took my parents there last night with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. The crab, which should have been a highlight, was poorly prepared and far below the standard (no salt) one would expect from a five-star hotel restaurant. In fact, several dishes lacked proper seasoning, including the Pittu. The Odiyal Kool was another letdown, it tasted as though it had been prepared by someone with little understanding of the dish. What puzzled me most was the claim that this was a “Jaffna Cuisine” buffet. There was hardly any fish featured in the spread, and not a single egg dish was available. For a buffet marketed around Jaffna cuisine, that feels completely disconnected from the region’s rich culinary traditions. The hoppers were simply atrocious. Overall, this buffet felt like a failed experiment rather than an authentic Jaffna dining experience. At Rs. 4,500 per person, it offers poor value for money and is not something I would recommend.

Food and staff were very good. Amenities like plunger coffee in room greatly appreciated. Linen immaculate, however floor and shower cleanliness was very sub-standard. Paintwork was all good, so it was really a housekeeping issue with cleanliness and basic mainenance requiring attention. Shower was at best lukewarm. Staff were delightful and helpful. Great location in centre of town and car parking available.

Jetwing Jaffna is a true representation of Sri Lankan hospitality. While the rooms and facilities were perfect, the most memorable part of our stay was the service and hospitality. The staff were incredibly polite, attentive and diligent. The food selection was great as it provided quality western and Sri Lankan options. The hotel also provides takeaway cakes which we made use of. I highly recommend trying the chocolate fudge cake. Keep up the great work, Jetwing Jaffna!

Ein gutes Hotel um Jaffna und Umgebung kennenzulernen. Es liegt sehr zentral und alle Attraktiven sind leicht erreichbar. Die Zimmer bieten alles was man so braucht. Das Restaurant bietet ein umfangreiches und gutes Buffet. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig.

After 25 years, I’m back in Jaffna and still amazed at how modern and wonderful this hotel is. The food at the restaurant is outstanding, everything is very clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. They even found a smooth solution for an early check-out without any extra service charge. A very family-friendly place – we will definitely be back!

A really nice stay. Exceptional service. Dined at the Peninsula, their in-house restaurant. Food was excellent and service by the staff was exemplary, especially Jokin. Location of the hotel is convenient. Close to major spots in the city. We did have some power cuts in the middle of the night, hence the 4 star for the rooms.

Staff was very friendly as usual in Jetwing group. I can give 10 out of 10 for Sky lounge view. We experienced the best ever barbecue night there. Credit goes to chef Asanka. Rooms are clean and bathrooms are well designed. I recommend this city hotel for Jaffna visitors.

We visited the rooftop where they have a bar, and had a great experience. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a drink. On the second day, we went to the hotel’s restaurant and the experience was excellent. We were treated very well, with great kindness and attention from the staff. The food was outstanding, excellent quality and very well prepared. Overall, a very pleasant experience and definitely a place we would recommend.

The staff at Jetwing Jaffna were excellent—very welcoming, professional, and always willing to help. The food was also great and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. However, the room design and washrooms were quite disappointing. The bathrooms felt very compact and impractical, and the shower area was not very clean, with visible mold. Some basic details were missing as well, such as a chair for the desk, which is important for a city hotel catering to business travelers. Overall, this property feels more suitable for business stays rather than leisure. Given the Jetwing brand and reputation, I expected better attention to room design, cleanliness, and small but important details. There is definitely room for improvement.

The hotel is right in the middle of Jaffna town, so it’s super easy to get to shops, buses, and taxis. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing! They have a Jaffna themed buffet on Saturdays, definitely worth trying. The rooms were clean and comfy, just like you’d expect from Jetwing. If you’re heading to Jaffna, this is a great place to stay!

Overall, I had a pleasant experience and enjoyed my time at the hotel. The location of the hotel is very convenient, making it easy to travel around Jaffna. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I appreciated their support whenever I needed assistance. The food was good, especially breakfast, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was comfortable and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, which made my stay relaxing. I also liked the general cleanliness and calm environment of the hotel. There are a few small areas that could be improved, such as housekeeping consistency and adding a few more facilities for guests, but these did not greatly affect my stay. Excellent hospitality from the staff of Jetwing. Front office , restaurant and house keeping. Very attentive, accommodative and quick service. Our stay was very comfortable. Will definitely visit again and recommend the hotel.to anyone who wishes to stay in Jaffna.

The Perfect Gateway to the North – Exceptional Service and Food! Our stay at Jetwing Jaffna was the highlight of our trip. The location is absolutely perfect—it is central enough that we could easily walk to the iconic Clock Tower and the local Market, yet it still serves as a quiet, peaceful retreat from the bustle of the city. The rooms were modern, clean, and well-designed, but the real standout was the balcony which offered stunning views of the Jaffna skyline. It was the perfect spot to start and end our day. Speaking of endings, the rooftop bar is a must-visit for sunset drinks. The atmosphere is unbeatable. However, the culinary experience was the true star of the show. You cannot stay here without trying the authentic Jaffna Crab Curry at the restaurant—it is an absolute must-try and lived up to every bit of the hype! I want to give a special highlight to the restaurant staff team. While the entire staff was incredibly professional and welcoming, the team in the dining area went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Their hospitality and attention to detail were truly impressive. Jetwing Jaffna is the perfect base for exploring the peninsula. Whether you are here for the history, the culture, or the food, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended! 😊

Extremely Disappointed with the Food Quality I recently ordered food from Jetwing Jaffna and was extremely disappointed with the quality. The Chicken Devilled was not at all worth the money ,there was very little chicken (not even 250g), and most of it was bones. It wasn’t fried properly, more like boiled chicken. The dish looked unattractive, very sweet and had no proper flavour. it tasted more like tempered chicken than devilled. The seasoning was poor, and the overall portion was very small for the price. There were too many onions and tomatoes, more than the actual chicken. The Fried Chicken portion and Sausage Devilled were also below standard. The Fried Rice was wet, overcooked, and tasted like milk rice no pleasant smell or flavour. The Nasi Goreng had no real nasi taste, only the colour made it look like nasi. It seemed like they just used soy sauce to colour it. If the chefs don’t know how to make proper nasi goreng, they should get proper training from other Jetwing hotels and make the real nasi paste to use. The Prawn Crackers were soggy and the Chicken Satay had very little meat and no taste. Overall, the food was extremely disappointing and not at all value for money. Jetwing Jaffna really needs to improve the taste, quality, and presentation of their dishes.

Our stay at Jetwing Jaffna was exceptional. From the moment we checked in, the staff, especially Madumitha went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Choosing the full board option was a great decision, the food was undoubtedly the highlight. The rooms offered a peaceful retreat after exploring the attractions in Jaffna. It was so convenient to have all our meals handled, allowing us to just relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a stress-free, culturally rich experience in the North!
