If you’re looking for the best steakhouse in Thamel, this is it. For a proper steak meal in a comfortable indoor setting, no place compares. I’ve tried many newer spots with outdoor setups, but none match the quality and flavor here. The steaks are consistently excellent, and the hospitality is top-notch. Don’t miss the house special ostrich steak—it’s a must-try. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to.

분위기가 너무 좋았다.히말라야 트레킹을 마친,큰 배낭매고 꾀죄죄하게 혼자 온 나를 매우 친절하게 챙겨주었다. 다른 멋진 곳들이 많다며 장소 추천도 해주고,다시 오라는 인사를 해주었다. 음식도 좋았고,하우스 레드와인이 조화롭게 맛있었다.다시 가게 될 것 같다!

Got the 14oz beef steak, garlic sauce and seasonal veg. The steak was tough and chewy, it might be due to the local beef. The long bean was also tough and fibrous. The garlic sauce was too salty. I tried my wife's ostrich, also very tough and chewy. This steakhouse might be suitable for locals only, unfortunately. They tuned the football match for us, but the music was a looped "Is this love..." song over and over, nothing else. This ruined the atmosphere for me.

Tried the ostrich steak at Kathmandu Steak House—it's hard to find elsewhere! Here is how the meal went: The Meat: I received three 100g steaks. Only one was medium-rare as ordered; the other two were medium. It was still okay, though. My friend loved his pork chop. The Sides: They mistakenly served overcooked fries instead of roasted potatoes, but they corrected the mistake swiftly. The Veggies: Could use more variety, and they need to make sure the tough green bean stalks are fully removed. This is one of the rare spots to try ostrich steak! The prices are high though.

We had a wonderful experience here. The food was absolutely amazing, and the hospitality was outstanding. I had the dal bhat, and it was clearly one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I would especially like to thank Amrit (restaurant staff), Sudip (hotel owner), Surendra (hotel reception), and Sandip (restaurant staff). All four of them were incredibly kind and gave us very helpful advice during our stay. Their warmth and genuine care made our experience even more special. Highly recommended. We truly appreciate the kindness we received here.

Krishna is well-serviced with my order there. And it’s worth to try the ostrich here, it’s just like the one I tried in Cape Town. Btw, choose rare rather than medium rare.

We had gone THERE for our dinner, the place was awfully empty, no customers except us, as we saw a good amount of review for this restaurant so we had a great expectations from the place. So we ordered 2 medium rare steak, with 2 sauce red wine & pepper. My husband’s steak was pretty nice, exactly medium rare, but mine was pretty chewy and over cooked, the sauces were not tasted good at all, so we had ordered mushroom sauce, they gave us hot mushroom sauce which was bit salty, so we asked them to change it, the waitet went inside with the sauce and after a while came back with the sauce and the look of the sauce was little bit liquidy, I tested it and realized they just add water to make it less salty. High price with 0 service and taste

We had included dinner with trekkers home and ate here every evening for 6 days. For the included dinner they have a set menu with 4 items to choose from and all options can be modified for veg or non-veg options. It is quite good the food, especially the burgers! It varied over the week how the food was though. I guess depending on available ingredients or different cook. The staff is very friendly and polite! Had a nice conversation with one of the waiters. Lovely place and a good included dinner.

I’ve been dining at the restaurant in my hotel here in Nepal almost every day, and it has truly been a consistently excellent experience. The food was really nice and personally being a vegetarian was satisfied with the food as well specially the Veg Burger. Would love to come back.
