Today we had lunch as guests at Mohammad Kebab House. When we ordered, they said soft drinks, yogurt, and olives were included, so there was no need to order them separately. The hall was quite crowded, and the food prices were reasonable. We ordered joojeh kebab, koobideh, chenjeh, and sour chenjeh. The koobideh wasn’t very interesting to me and I didn’t really like it. The joojeh kebab was very tender, but a bit fatty. I know this is a matter of personal taste, but I personally don’t like joojeh when it’s that soft. The chenjeh and sour chenjeh were acceptable, though not as tender as the chenjeh I once had at one of the local kateh-kebab restaurants. The rice was served as kateh and was slightly sticky since it didn’t have oil. Once you added butter, it became really delicious — perfect for eating with your hands. They served bitter orange (narenj) on the side, and their sumac was good. The marinated olives were also acceptable.
