I visited Khasab Castle on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised to find that there were only three visitors during the daytime. This made the experience feel very calm and peaceful, giving me plenty of time to explore the castle at my own pace and take photos wherever I wanted without any rush. The castle itself tells the fascinating history of the region, with well-presented exhibits and artifacts that bring the past to life. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, the setting is absolutely stunning and adds even more charm to the visit. It’s a perfect spot for anyone interested in history, culture, or simply enjoying a serene and picturesque place.

زرنا حصن خصب أنا وأطفالي وكانت تجربة ثرية وممتعة بكل معنى الكلمة. استمتعنا كثيرًا بالتجول بين أركانه والتعرف على ملامح الحياة القديمة، من تقنيات القتال كالبنادق والمدافع، إلى أدوات الطبخ التقليدية وطحن القمح. الأطفال كانوا في قمة الحماس وهم يشاهدون ويستكشفون، وكانت فرصة رائعة لتعريفهم بجانب مهم من تاريخنا العماني العريق. أعجبنا ترتيب بعض الأركان، خاصة التي تبرز تفاصيل الحياة اليومية في الماضي، وشعرنا بالفخر بهذا التراث الجميل. ومع ذلك، نرى أن الحصن يحتاج لبعض اللمسات الجمالية، وصيانة لبعض الأقسام التي تأثرت بعوامل الزمن. كما نأمل أن يتم تزويده بكاميرات مراقبة لحماية محتوياته القيمة. شكرًا للقائمين على هذا المعلم التاريخي، ونأمل أن نراه بأبهى حُلّة في الزيارات القادمة بإذن الله

Forte piccolo ma bello e ben curato, permette di "immergersi" nella storia e nella cultura del Musandam. Nella torre centrale, infatti, oltre ad un video che illustra le tradizioni locali, ci sono delle teche che raccontano cultura e usanze della regione, dalla pesca, all'agricoltura, artigianato, geografia, storia, ecc. L'ingresso costa 3 OMR a testa, ovvero 7,50€ (Gennaio 2025). Sia nella torre all'ingresso sia nel giardino all'interno, si ammirano dei bellissimi pappagalli verdi!

Auch diese Festung wurde, wie viele andere Festungen im Oman, etwas zu sehr renoviert. Die Festung ist zudem sehr klein. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stehen hier für uns in keinem Verhältnis. Für Liebhaber von altem Gemäuer aber auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert.

Muy interesante de visitar y cómodo de ver (te ofrecen te y agua y pastas dentro). Esta antigüa fortaleza defensiva de casi mil años está restaurada y se vista con rápidez y comodidad. Barata la entrada, a solo 2 km.de la terminal de cruceros y al lado de un hipermercado donde hay de todo y souvenirs varios y pago con tarjera y cajero automatico, etc. Recomendable!!

حصن تاريخي رائع يعبر عن تاريخ عميق لمدينة خصب العمانية. وارى انه يحتاج اضافة الكثير من الادوات المستخدمة قديما في مدينة خصب

Construit de portughezi la începutul secolului al XVII-lea, castelul are o formă circulară și este înconjurat de un zid impunător. În prezent, castelul Khasab a fost restaurat și transformat într-un muzeu care prezintă istoria și cultura regiunii Musandam, inclusiv artefacte arheologice, costume tradiționale și exponate legate de viața marină.

Very important place to visit if you'll visit Khasab. The ancient times how people lived, what they did to live, about the mountains, the history, fossils and many more details displayed at this place. You have to buy tickets to enter to place and it is really worth to read the information mentioned on the boards.

An amazing small castle surrounded by mountains. The site is well-maintained and preserved. Entry ticket is only AED 5.0 but they only accept card payment, with no cash option at the ticketing office. The halls are showcasing the library, Majlis and the normal day-to-day life of locals. The middle tower is also interesting to visit.

انصح بزيارة الحصن لمن لديه اهتمام بالتاريخ الحصن بني على بقايا قلعة قديمة، ويتميز بأسوار منخفضة مع شرفات لإطلاق النار والبرج المركزي الضخم الذي يعتقد أنه قد سبق بناء الحصن نفسه. كما يضم الحصن بعض المعلومات عن تاريخ المنطقة وسلطنة عمان.

Joli fort, la visite se fait rapidement, en une demie heure vous en avez fait le tour. Ça fait passer le temps en attendant notre vol retour. Comptez 0,5 rial par personne en libre visite ce qui n'est pas excessif ! Vous pouvez monter sur les murs, faire le tour, et également grimper au sommet d'une tour en prenant appui sur des barreaux de bois fixés dans le mur, "à vos propres risques.

Khasab Castle is definitely worth a visit if you are in Khasab. The castle is beautiful and well-maintained. The exhibits provides a great deal of interesting information on khasab historical and cultural background. The entrance fee is inexpensive, and you can get the tickets at the main entrance.

Chúng tôi đã đặt một chuyến tham quan qua thị trấn nhỏ này và một điểm nổi bật là lâu đài. Đó là một lâu đài lịch sử hiện được xây dựng như một bảo tàng. Very beautifully preserved, well maintained nice & clean. Lot of things to see inside . Good information about Arabic and Omani culture, art & heritage.

Amazing place to visit with far more information and activities then you would think. Very beautiful setting with a lot of information on the area and the culture. The library room is a hidden gem that alone is worth the price if admission. Worth a stop and visit during any time spent in Khasab.

This historical place is one of the few attractions in musandam, it is like a small live museum that summarizes the history of this area. There is old boats, old living materials inside and old house, there is a gift shop inside ( personally i did not like it as it has limited options ). Entrance fees: 1 OR for adults and ,3 for kids (**ONLY VISA IS ACCEPTED HERE**) The staff were very friendly. Visiting time: it takes like 60 minutes to explore this place.

Khasab Oman is an interesting place. It is very small and there is nothing really there. But the serene, peaceful and quiet atmosphere that this area sits in the Arabian Gulf Sea, is actually kind of nice to visit. The waters are crystal clear and very peaceful. Khasab Castle was nothing major to look at, but it was very interesting because they did a lot of recreations of what life used to be like in that area. I just so happen to be on a cruise that made a stop in Muscat Oman, as well as Khasab Oman. I would definitely say this is a place to visit. But go during the winter months, because it was only in the low 80s but it was pretty brutal by the afternoon.
