Drove to Khor Najd myself and what an adrenaline rush! The mountain road is pure adventure, no laid tarmac, just raw tracks carved naturally into the Hajar Mountains. It’s a real mountain safari: steep climbs, sharp turns, loose gravel. Not for faint hearts or new drivers. You need focus, low gear, and nerves of steel. But the payoff? 100% worth it. At the peak you hit Khor Najd Viewpoint and the view literally takes your breath away. Fjords cutting through the mountains, endless blue sea on one side, rugged cliffs on the other. That “I love Oman” cutout at the top is perfect for photos, but the real wow factor is just standing there taking it all in. If you love off-road, adventure, and views that make you go “wow”, put this on your Khasab list. Just drive carefully, use 4x4 if you have it, and don’t rush the curves. Khor Najd = nature + thrill + epic views. Oman never disappoints!

Beautiful views and well worth the drive up. The view from the top was amazing. We did not bother driving past the “I ❤️ Oman” sign down the mountain to the Bay because it was raining and slippery. Don’t believe you need a 4x4 because I saw normal sedans doing it. The Bay itself didn’t look like it had anything other than the dhow.

Impresionantes vistas desde arriba de la montaña desértica. Nos tocó la época de lluvias lo que hacía un camino de por sí complejo aún más complicado para llegar y salir del pequeño puerto. Donde al momento solo llegan los locales. La mayor belleza de Khor Najd se esconde bajo el agua :)

Was there with family during this Eid holidays. Got the spot to ourselves due to current events.. was in awe with the view! Definitely a must visit spot.. normal car can go up, we had our captiva 1.5 FWD fully loaded 6 adults + 1 baby climbed the uphill with no issues however, going down the otherside must require a 4x4…

Beautiful view, 4x4 not needed but highly recommend. Worth the drive up if you're visiting Khasab!

If you want to drive here to the I❤️Oman sign from Khasab, super easy, the highway here is paved, after you get off before starting to climb there is a parking lot. We came w our convertible, it is gravel road 2-3 km up and at the sign, another 2-3 km down to the beach. The downhill path looks quite steep. We didn’t bother, because the best view is on top. There was no traffic, you can take your time to go and even w two wheel it should be ok, if not you can just walk up to see the view. Our convertible is all wheel drive though.

Fishing harbour. Nothing is down there. No coffee. Nothing. Great views though.

Geographically beautiful place, and fairly peaceful on a weekday at least. I imagine on a weekend it gets very busy and the tranquility is ruined. For sure I’d visit again with a plan to camp perhaps. The road to reach isn’t too bad, four wheel drive recommended due to the gradient, might be a challenge to get back up after it’s been raining though.

I visited Khor Najd for the first time in 2015 and it was hardly known to anyone that time and the place was full of wildlife, seagulls, pigeonsand marine animals like different species of crabs. There were no signs and it was just a fishing spot and place where locals visited to take boat rides. Since then, this place has started gaining popularity and it's now one of the best places in Musandam to capture amazing photos. I visited again last year and sadly, the marine animals have vanished. Its now a port where freshly caught fishes are delivered by fishermen. I hope this place maintain its calm and tranquil environment for the years to come.

Amazing view. The road is still under construction but even accessible now. It’s going to be a great tourist spot by next few years. Need plantation,toilet ,water source, shade for tourist.

Nice camping spot for Anglers. Unfortunately you can’t swim on the water because of the oil grease and moss. Goats will definitely robbed and eat your stuff on the table so make sure all of your stuff is secured 😁

We woke up early to visit Khor Najd for sunrise and instead of driving we decided to hike the 2.5km up the steep mountain pass to the lookout point. It was a refreshing walk, we sat on the rocks overlooking the valley, drank tea and welcomed the new day! Khor Najd has a camping area and is a 30 minute drive outside of Khasab town. While some claim it is accessible with a two wheel drive - a 4x4 would be more comfortable as the winding road is very steep and narrow, or just park at the bottom and hike up - the view heading up is just as beautiful!

الطريق الا الخور يستلزم صعود الى قمة الجبل ثم النزول في الناحية المطله على البحر حيث يوجد قوارب لاخذ جولات في الخور . المكان جميل في القمة لكن يحتاج عناية اكثر وعمل كوفي شوب

العربي تحت Norway of Arabia! Khor Najd, Khasab, Musandam, Oman. Musandam is governorate of the Sultanate of Oman. It's a peninsula into the strait of Hormuz. It doesn't have any land borders with the main land of Oman; it's land border is with emirate of Ras Al-Khaima and its around 65 kms away from Iran through Oman sea. About 4 hours drive from Abu Dhabi and 2.5 hrs from Dubai. Khor Najd is a natural creek about 25 kms from the city of Khasab, last 5 of which is off-road. The road is very steep, a 4x4 SUV is recommended, but.. if you drove to Musandam with a sedan you can still enjoy the stunning view. Drive up the road for the first 3.1 kms until the "I ❤️ Oman" sign, enjoy the scene from there. I do not recommend you go further without a 4x4. نرويج العرب! خور النجد، خصب، مسندم، سلطنة عمان مسندم إحدى محافظات سلطنة عمان. شبه جزيرة على مضيق الهرمز، حدودها البرية الوحيدة مع إمارة رأس الخيمة. خور النجد، يبعد عن مدينة خصب، عاصمة مسندم، حوالي ٢٥ كلم، آخر ٥ كلم عبارة عن طريق جبلي ترابي وعر غير مسفلت. ينصح بسيارة دفع رباعي، لكن لو وصلت مسندم بسيارة صغيرة، ممكن تطلع ال ٣.١ كلم الأولى، حتى علامة I ❤️ Oman، المنظر من هناك رائع، ولكن ما أنصح تكمل الطريق من غير سيارة عالية 4x4. مسندم تبعد أقل من ٤ ساعات من أبو ظبي بالسيارة وحوالي ساعتين ونصف من دبي.

Breathtaking views of a small gulf surrounded by mountains and hills. There is a small fishing port there. You can take a quick dip, and you might even cross the road of a green turtle swimming peacefully!!( Don't be scared). You will find a water tank (to fill your bottles). You can, easily, camp there!! Notice that, you need to go uphill on a steep road to get there / get out of there : a 4×4 is almost a must for the journey!
