The Khukuri House (KHHI Nepal)

The craftsmanship of this blade is amazing. So far does everything I would expect it to do. Unfortunately chopping through thick cardboard was worse on the blade than chopping wood. The factory blade sharpening doesn’t hold up to testing. Developed quite the roll and chips toward the front end of the blade. I wish that it came with the sharpening blade as well. Overall I would give this blade a 3.8 (round up to 4). The handle is overall very comfortable, a little bulky but the ridge around the pinky gives you ultimate control. I wish I didn’t have to sharpen after the first two swings of the blade but here we are. It’s a very nice crafted blade, true to who they are. Thank you KHHI for the amazing knife! I’ll be trying out a few different blade smiths throughout Nepal to give my honest opinion on who is the best! I included the pics after slicing through cardboard. All the best KHHI!

I ordered a DBAD John J. Tribute Bowie (aka Rambo knife) and I must say, it looks much more better than in the pictures. The design is inspired by the movie replicas, but the construction is much better because it's done as a true functional survival knife, not just a display prop. The craftsmanship is exquisite, the materials are the best. Maximum care was taken for the packaging and shipping.

Even though I ordered my blade during the devastating riots in Nepal where a military curfew was incurred the team managed to get my blade finished in a matter of days. I even requested they include the Karda and Chakmak knives as they were not an option on the Khukuri I purchased which they did free of charge. Wonderful service even in the worst of times and very reasonable pricing for a hand crafted blade. Five stars!

I give the Khukuri House a 4.5 star rating and the only reason I'm not giving a full 5 star review is there is always room to improve. I just added two more impressive knives from KHHI, a custom Beast with a 15 inch blade and a Gurkha issue 4th. Both knives are amazing in fit and finish and it shows great skills from the maker. I have to say that I am very impressed with my entire experience, as a newbie in the world of the Khukuri blades. The online chat is great feature and the person on the other end was able to clearly answer all of my questions. I ordered 2 Khukuri knives, GI5 (Gurkha Issue 5th and World War (Historic) both arrived all the way from Nepal to North Carolina in under 2 weeks and in good shape. The knives exceeded my expectations in quality and price. I just received them so I really haven't had a chance to use them. These massive knives are handmade and not mass produced blades, these show the imperfections that the craftsman's hands left in the steel. The makers information, thank you letter and care and use is a nice addition to the overall package. I foresee a more Khukuri knives in my future. Thank you, Mike

I went directly from Kathmandu to their workshop in Patan to make sure I could buy an authentically made khukuri. It took the taxi driver a while to find the place, but once there, I was able to see the forging process and talk with the craftsmen, who welcomed me warmly. I purchased a Service No.1 and a mini khukuri, and they even demonstrated their durability by chopping a buffalo horn. I’m very satisfied with both the quality and the hospitality.

This Khukuri is absolutely gorgeous! I have been searching for a quality Khukuri for some time now, and I am not disappointed in choosing Khukuri House. The quality and craftsmanship is outstanding. The quality of the sheath is extremely good as well.This is now the crown jewel of my Knife collection.

I have ordered several knives from KHHI Nepal over a few years. Some were gifts, some were for me. All of them have been fantastic in quality and appearance. Customer service is very good, always answering questions, and even international shipping has been smooth and pretty quick. Highly recommend this company if looking for unique knives made by real craftsmen. My favorite is this one.

I ordered a few knives in one order and all of them were really well made and beautiful, the value for money is absolutely fantastic. I had some problems first with getting information about the order and shipping but every single of my question directed to customer care was answered and I got the replies I needed and the problems were solved well. Will be ordering more knives from them in the future. I am very pleased.

For me the blade is a service tool. So quality is a must. Bought a service .2 Khukuri and a Biltong with highcarbon steel blade. Asked for unpolished blade and unpolished horn handle. This sort of a ”check” on craftmanship as i never ordered from them before. Both are really, really nice Working tools. Will for sure keep them in mind for future needs

Once again KHHI Nepal does not fail to deliver. This week 2 Kukri arrived from KHHI , one from Nepal and the other from their Australian Depot. Depots promise a 7 day delivery and though I live in the country my delivery was on time. My Nepal order was despatched rapidly and I was shown my Kukri before posting, wonderful customer service. Not to gush on but effort deserves recognition and reward. Both Kukri are amazing. A traditional GI 2 and a Panawal Jungle Kukri. Both immensely different in dimensions , weight and handles and I was momentarily reserved. My eyes and my hand got it together and though both handle dimensions are different , they perfectly suited the blade and it's intended purpose. The GI 2 is a war horse, it wants to charge and it bites very deep with the slope semi convex grind, incredible power in a beautifully finished and presented knife. The Panawal Jungle Kukri is a cutter in all aspects. It feels incredibly light and swift yet enough heft to cleave through tough vegetation and Australian bush. Both sheaths were perfect with easy drawing and re sheathing. I wrapped the sheaths to protect them from the harsh bush and to leave a pristine sheath when my Kukri is passed down a generation. Perfect blades. Perfect sheaths. Excellent customer service and Outstanding craftsmanship from obviously proud Nepalese men. Thank you " I'll be back " . :-)

Incredible quality. These knives are superior to those from larger and much more expensive brands. Unfortunately the display grass was broken. However this is no fault of theirs. They took diligent care to wrap and protect everything. This is my fourth knife order and I couldn't be more pleased with their product.

This place is phenomenal. The quality of customer care and product they provide is almost unheard of in these days and times. Not to mention they are on the other side of the planet. They are, as we speak, crafting a new blade for me. I'll post pictures when it arrives. OK...here it IS!!! THE Panawal Dotted Supreme ...IT IS AMAAAZING! Perfect balance, prefect heft, SUPER sharp. I've never had any blade feel this good in the hand, ever. It is BEAUTIFUL! Upon arrival I could plainly see my excitement was well warranted. True craftmanship at it's absolute finest. An instrument crafted into a work of art worthy of being a keepsake and heirloom...can't wait for the next one, a special order. WooHOO!! Customer service remains high at 110%. This blade has now become the main go to character and pull in my EDC kit. I can see this relationship developing into something mutually fruitful and long term. Just can't say enough good things about interacting with these folks. This type of service just isn't around anymore, and THAT my friends, is a real shame.

Ordered a dbad Preacher knife with a few mods and received it in 3 weeks. Very timely delivery. Knife and sheath are both very good workmanship, 👍.

I just received my order from KHHI, the. * Current Issue BSI Khukuri (2022) (10.25” blade) * a carry pouch * a kydex sheath and * the blessing. I am so pleased with everything, it’s so authentic. I only placed my order on the 23 Jan, and it’s arrived here on 7 Feb from Nepal! That’s just over two weeks, very impressed. I absolutely love my new Khukuri, I have wanted one since I was a teenager after finding the one my father owned in a cupboard back in the day. I was very surprised at how much lighter it feels today than it did all those years ago. I served in the Australian Army and was fortunate enough to work & train with some Ghurkas while I was posted in Malaysia. That experience reinforced my desire to own my own Khukuri. The quality of the blade is phenomenal, I love that you can see and feel the hand-crafted quality of the knife. It is so well balanced and the handle fits perfectly in the hand. The kydex sheath is great and will be perfect for holding the knife while I’m out in the bush. (I didn’t want to risk damaging the original traditional sheath if I found myself crossing deep water) Everything was wrapped and packaged so well and securely, the Khukuri House really take pride in their product, and for good reason that is so easy to see. Thank you KHHI, I am extremely happy with the quality of both the products and the excellent service. In fact I was so excited about getting my first Khukuri that I placed an order for the 6 inch Jungle PLUS (Heavy-Duty) Khukuri to be my EDC, before I even received my first order. I recently visited on a friend suggestion and they are the finest khukuri makers from Nepal. The production quality, attentions to detail are second to none and you will only get amazed by their body of work. Totally recommended💯

I ordered a blade from this company after seeing the store recommended on a YouTube travel video by Harald Baldr. I could not have been happier with the process from start to finish! They were very professional and quick to respond in all communication. They also accommodated a handle change and a rush request that I needed due to an upcoming move. When the blade arrived, I was extremely impressed with how it turned out.
