One of Erbil's most famous restaurants. It's a clean, airy restaurant where you can find the region's flavors. It wasn't very crowded when we went around 3 PM. The menu has a variety of meat dishes. I tried the chickpea soup, meat stew, rooster meat, stuffed vegetables, black rice, and white rice pilaf. The flavors weren't bad, but I think it was about average for a meat restaurant in Türkiye. I found the stew very tasty, but everything else was pretty average. I didn't like the rooster meat. The stuffed vegetables definitely weren't as tasty as Turkish stuffed vegetables. The ayran was a slightly sour flavor made from village yogurt. Like Balkan Restaurants in Türkiye, you take your tray and choose the food you want in order before returning to your seat. We had no trouble communicating because we had someone with us who spoke Kurdish, but if we had been alone, we might have had difficulty. Since we were guests at a business dinner, I don't know the prices, but I heard it was good value for money. The place was very clean. There is also a valet service in front of the restaurant. If you happen to be in Erbil and want to try Erbil cuisine, you can choose this place.

I love this place and visit every couple of weeks for lunch with colleagues. Authentic, tasty Kurdish food with an ambience to complement it. Service is great. The food is good value for money and very filling. Everything here is great but my absolute favourite dishes are the rooster and a sauce they serve with eggplant in it. Make sure you're famished when you visit.

Delicious local food with lovely design. We came here for lunch and wow amazing. The idea is that the restaurant serves you traditional kurdish food as if it was “home cooked”. The food tasted amazing they had a range of different options to choose from. Rice, soup, meat, chicken and salad options are available.

If you are fasting or vegan, this is a perfect place. The stews (marqa) are very tasty. I always get the rice with pomegranate molasses. The food is high quality and the price is very fair.

Delicious Kurdish traditional cuisine. Self-service, you select your plate of food. Nice atmosphere and professional staff. You have to visit this restaurant to support a female-owned business and taste Kurdish foods. Reasonable price.

The design of the place is breathtaking. The food is good, you can have long or round rice, the taste of food is absolutely kurdish and delicious. Number one traditional food in Erbil. Most importantly, the view of drinking tea is very cozy.

Kshmesh Kurdish restaurant delivers an authentic Kurdish culinary experience. The delivery service ensures the food arrives warm, thanks to excellent packaging. The standout is their flavorful rice, enjoyable even on its own. Personally, I love their fasolia, and the qaliya meat comes highly recommended for a truly satisfying meal.

Nice place Not so pricey Not so affordable they can give you free sweets to cover the extra fees and makes you feel more comfortable about the receipt. But the most important they have Sulaymaniyah food specially the rice I love the tea area 😍

Kshmesh is one of the best restaurants in Erbil for Kurdish traditional food! It's fast and straightforward, the menu is not complicated, consistently delicious, very reasonable prices, and generally good service. It gets crowded very quickly though during lunch, it's better to get there by 12. Highly recommend it!

We came late, about 7:30 pm, and -for main dishes- there was soup, rice, and chicken to choose from. Of course it all looked like it had been cooking awhile, but we came late... Food was decent. Would be interested in coming back for lunch to see what other options there are.

I’m not so happy that I’m writing this review , because Kshmeesh been my favorite spot to eat whenever I come to Erbil from Slemani , but this time it was disappointing. The Chicken wasn’t fresh and sure thing a left over of noon at (8:00 pm) When complained about it that its not fresh and not same good taste as always , they simply just lagged and ignored the complain. They lost a customer hope they’ll go back for what they used to be .

Really nice local food i really enjoyed it & the place is nice and classic different from most of the places here and you get to choose what type of rice & soup you want and which toppings to add . Really recommend it 😍

Food: 1. Salty 2. Cold 3. Oily , the qalya was cooked well but it was really oily! Turshy: was fine but bit salty and needed more vinegar to be added , orelse it was fresh. Service: self service, but they get you anything if you need it. Atmosphere: cozy and clean. Price: expensive price ,for small bowl of lablabi soup, a small bowl of qalya and a plate of rice 18,000 IQD , you find it less price and delicious in other places. Rate: I give 40% total
