Disgusting! The room is dirty, and bugs are constantly coming out from somewhere. The bathroom has yellow stains all over. You have to pay separately for electricity and water, and despite having funds on the balance, the water or electricity was turned off for several hours every day. The bathroom ventilation doesn't work, and even though the air conditioner is set to 16 degrees, it doesn't cool the room properly. There are only a couple of small shops nearby that sell sweets. To buy decent food, you either need to take a taxi or walk about 20-30 minutes. There is an outdoor pool on the premises, but it's impossible to use it. The pool is available at certain hours, but even during those times, if you go, they tell you that you can't use it because of ongoing work.
The hosts are absolutely unwelcoming. During check-in, they handed over a piece of paper to sign, a so-called "checklist" of what is in the room. We checked the "checklist" and found shortages. I suspect that if we hadn't paid attention, they would have charged us for the missing items upon checkout or simply won't give us deposit back.
To get to the beach, you have to make a detour, cross the Nabq border (for which you need to have a passport or a photo of it, because the border service doesn't let you through otherwise), and then pay an entrance fee to the beach.
The information listed on Booking does not match reality. Checkout is a separate challenge where they check everything against the checklist again and record it on camera. In the end, the host offered to take us to the desired location, but of course, for money, and in the end, didn't take us to the final destination, justifying it by saying "well, I'm not very familiar with this area."
