One of the most beautiful and peaceful green spaces to visit in the city. The area is big and well maintained, with plenty of walking paths, lush greenery, and a wide variety of plants and trees. It's a perfect place for a morning walk, photography, or simply relaxing amidst nature. Despite being in a busy city, the atmosphere feels calm and refreshing. You can easily spend a few hours exploring different sections and enjoying the serene surroundings

Lalbagh Botanical Garden is a beautiful and peaceful place to spend a few hours amidst nature. The garden is very well maintained, and it is impressive to see so many mature trees preserved in their natural condition. It offers a calm environment where visitors can sit, relax, and enjoy the greenery away from the city's hustle and bustle. One thing to note is that the garden is huge, and exploring it requires a lot of walking. The entrance fee of ₹100 per person felt a bit on the higher side considering the distance visitors need to cover on foot. While electric cars are available, reaching the boarding point itself involves a considerable walk. For elderly visitors, people with disabilities, or families with special needs, it would be much more convenient if electric cars were available right from the entrance rather than after a long walk. The famous Glass House is one of the main attractions, but unfortunately, we were unable to walk all the way there. Since the garden has multiple entrances, some of them may provide easier access to specific attractions like the Glass House. Overall, Lalbagh is a wonderful destination for nature lovers, photography enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a quiet place to unwind. Just be prepared for a lot of walking and plan your visit accordingly.

Lalbagh is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Bangalore. The entry fee is ₹30 for adults, which is totally worth it for the experience you get inside. I visited during the evening and the vibe was just perfect. The garden is huge and has so many different sections – rose garden, bonsai garden, topiary park, lotus pond, lake area, and the famous Glass House. Every park inside has its own charm, and the flowers were in full bloom when I went. Everything was so colourful and well maintained. It’s a great place to go even alone. No one bothers you, and you can just walk peacefully or sit somewhere and relax. A lot of people come here for jogging and walking, so it feels very lively yet calm. I also climbed the small mountain inside (Lalbagh Rock) and had bhel puri and ice cream from the vendors there. The sunset view from near the lake is absolutely beautiful. The small waterfall area is very pretty too. Hopcoms inside Lalbagh has really nice fresh juices, and the local vendors sell fruits like pineapple, guava, etc. Overall, everything about Lalbagh is very nice – nature, food, views, and the peaceful atmosphere. Perfect place to unwind.

Lalbagh is one of the most beautiful places in the heart of Bangalore city to be truly with nature. The rose garden, the Bonsai park, the geologically important site of genais rocks everything is just there for us to be explored. I spent an entire day at the park and it was the most memorable day for me. There is a lake inside the premises and sunset over the lake is just magical. Please carry some snacks and come here to enjoy a nice picnic with your family. Highly recommended for naturalists and geologists along with environmentaliats.

It’s ideal for walks amid diverse birds, flowers, and events like flower shows, offering tranquility despite crowds—perfect for nature lovers or families. Entry is affordable (around ₹20-50), open 5 AM-7 PM, best visited early to avoid heat. Standouts include the Glasshouse (modeled on London’s Crystal Palace), a serene lake with a waterfall, Bonsai Garden, Hibiscus Garden, and ancient trees like the 200-year-old white silk cotton tree with massive buttress roots. The floral clock and lotus pond add charm, while electric buggies help cover the vast grounds.

Lalbagh Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful and well-maintained places in Bengaluru. The garden offers a calm and refreshing environment with lush greenery, beautiful trees, well-kept lawns, and peaceful walking paths. It is an excellent place for nature lovers, morning walkers, photographers, and families looking to spend quality time outdoors. I was particularly impressed by the overall maintenance of the garden. The cleanliness, landscaping, and preservation of the botanical collections reflect the efforts of the management team. The green surroundings and serene atmosphere make it a perfect escape from the city's busy life. However, during my visit, I noticed some visitors , mainly Muslim Community people who visits in Large crowd ignoring the garden rules. A few people were climbing trees and damaging property despite clear restriction boards being displayed. Such behavior can harm the garden's natural heritage and reduce the experience for other visitors who come to enjoy and respect the environment. I believe the authorities could consider deploying additional guards or increasing monitoring in sensitive areas to ensure that visitors follow the rules and help preserve this beautiful landmark for future generations. Overall, Lalbagh remains a must-visit destination in Bengaluru because of its natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent maintenance. With stronger enforcement of the rules, the visitor experience could become even better. Highly recommended for anyone seeking greenery, tranquility, and a connection with nature. 🌳🌿🌺

Visited Lalbagh Botanical Garden during the Flower Festival, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience 🌸✨. Yes, it was crowded, but the place was beautifully and creatively decorated, making it totally worth it. The colorful flower displays, themed arrangements, and the iconic Glass House were a visual treat. There were many stalls showcasing different varieties of plants, gardening items, and decorative flowers, which was very interesting to explore. Walking through the garden felt refreshing despite the crowd, and the overall atmosphere was lively and festive. It’s a perfect place to spend an entire day, whether you’re a nature lover, photography enthusiast, or visiting with family and friends. The effort put into organizing and maintaining the flower festival is truly commendable. Highly recommended—especially during the flower show season! 🌺🌿

🌼🌸🌺🌻🌷 I had a wonderful time visiting Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Bengaluru. The garden is very beautiful, calm, and well maintained. I really loved the spherical fountain and seeing the different coloured blossomed flowers all around the park. Even though there was no flower festival at the time of my visit, the garden still looked amazing and refreshing. I visited between 2 PM and 4 PM⌛, which I personally feel is the best time to avoid the heavy evening rush. It was peaceful and perfect for walking, relaxing, and taking photos. The walking paths are clean and the greenery is soothing. 💰Entry fee is ₹50 for adults and ₹20 for children. For walkers, special entry timings are available from 6 AM to 9 AM and in the evening from 6 PM to 7 PM. If you carry a camera, an additional fee of ₹50 is charged. Overall, Lalbagh is a must-visit place for nature lovers and anyone looking for a peaceful break from city noises.. Highly recommended.🥰♥️🫰

I’ve been visiting Lalbagh Botanical Garden since my college days around 2012, and coming back recently, I can clearly see how much it has improved. Back then, cleanliness and maintenance weren’t really up to the mark. But now, the park is much better maintained, cleaner, and overall more pleasant to spend time in. It’s a great spot for early morning runs, jogging, or even a relaxed walk with family if you just want to enjoy some greenery and escape the city rush. The running track is decent, though there’s still some room for improvement in certain stretches. Also, one side of the park still feels under-maintained, whether it’s the walking track or the greenery. If that part is improved, the overall experience would become even better. That said, it’s still a really nice place in the city for fitness or a peaceful morning surrounded by nature.

A Verdant Paradise in the Heart of the City! Lalbagh is truly the "lungs" of Bengaluru. Walking through the massive collection of tropical plants and century-old trees is incredibly refreshing. The 200-year-old cotton tree is a must-see! It’s the perfect place for a peaceful morning walk or birdwatching by the lake. Everything is well-maintained and lush. A 10/10 experience for anyone looking to escape the city noise. The Glass House is the star of the show—it looks like something out of a fairytale, especially during the flower show seasons. I spent hours capturing photos of the Japanese Garden and the Floral Clock. The Peninsular Gneiss rock offers a great view of the skyline too. Pro tip: Visit early in the morning for the best light and fewer crowds!

Lalbagh Botanical Garden is hands down the best park in Bangalore, no debate, even better than Cubbon Park. It’s huge, peaceful, and just a lovely place to spend time. If you go before 9 AM for a walk or jog, entry is free; after that there’s a small ticket. Inside, there are fruit stalls, a beautiful botanical garden, a waterfall, and a massive lake with lots of birds, it feels very calm and refreshing. You can easily find a quiet spot to just sit, read, and relax. The crowd also feels nicer and less chaotic compared to Cubbon Park. Overall, such a lovely place, I keep going back.
