As a gay couple, what made the experience even more special was how welcomed, respected, and comfortable we felt throughout our stay. The staff treated us with warmth and professionalism, setting a wonderful example of what true allyship and inclusive hospitality look like. Also, the housekeeping is excellent by Bharat and Paras specially took care of our room. Luxury is not just about beautiful properties—it’s about making every guest feel valued. Room service was prompt and courteous, adding to the overall comfort. If I were to mention one minor point, it would be that some areas of the property are large and may require a bit of walking to explore fully, but this only adds to the charm and sense of space. Perfect location, peace full environment, staff was so humble and helpful Even the food was delicious, it was top notch, We got best sunset, the property itself is stunning an architectural them with Rajasthani tredition. I had visited & stayed at this beautiful property for 2 days during my April 3rd-6th 2026 udaipur trip. I must say this is the bestest place to stay in udaipur ,the view ,the ambience ,the staffs,the food are top notch. The rooms are clean ,maintained & staffs are always available on call. Special mention to poulami & souvik for making my stay comfortable. They even arranged my breakfast since I had an early morning flight & also at the last day of my stay ,they had provided a beautiful cake with a message stating see you soon & it was one of the bestest gesture..I have ever recieved from any hotel till date ( provided I stay in lots of high end hotels during my trip) ,thank you for making my solo trip beautiful & serene.

We stayed for 2 nights at Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace Hotel in Udaipur and it was fabulous. Below is a comprehensive review of our stay: The Good: Property: The hotel sits above Fateh Sagar Lake and is a converted colonial building. It offers amazing views of the lakes and the mountains including the Nehru Garden and Monsoon fort. We ordered a room with the lake view and we had a nice and unobstructed view from there. Access: Secure but easy access from the city with some inclines to walk to get to the hotel (if you're walking). The tourist spots are 10-20mins from hotel even with high traffic. Staff: Great and very courteous, we felt welcome at every stage and they were helpful with local recommendations for visits and booking dinners. They also arranged an early breakfast for us at 6.45am on the day of our departure. Breakfast: Nice breakfast with a selection of local and European varieties at Padmini. We loved having the chai with the clay cups. Room: Due to the age of the building, the rooms are dated as we expected. But they had all amenities we required and was comfortable. Could be better: Shower: The shower was low volume type so was taking longer for us to have a shower. A wider shower head with high output would have been better. Pillows: I usually request firm pillows and was offered those but the firmness wasn't sufficient. Ordered another one on the 2nd day which was slightly better but still not enough. Overall a great stay at this hotel, highly recommended!

One of the most beautiful sunset dinners I've had was at Aangan, Lakshmi Vilas Palace, Udaipur. The terrace setting with panoramic views of the lake and the Aravalli hills creates an unforgettable atmosphere as the sun goes down. A special thanks to Deepak, whose cocktail recommendations were absolutely perfect. He crafted drinks that matched the mood of the evening and made the sunset experience even more special. We decided to go to The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace hotel for two reasons. It was the same hotel that we had gone for our honeymoon 43 years ago. And it had very good reviews. When I mentioned to hotel's duty manager Rohan that we are coming after 43 years to Udaipur (first time after our honeymoon), they gave us a welcome like we were a celebrity. General Manager Arjun, Duty Manager Rohan and his whole staff were outside to welcome us with a flower bouquet and welcome drinks. Mr. Arjun also left a nice handwritten note highlighting our return after 43 years. This hotel has an excellent view of Fateh Sagar lake. Whole staff was always on their feet to assist us. Special shout out to Jaydev (at Padmini restaurant), Bharat and Madhur as housekeeping staff. It is hard to remember everyone's name but everyone from front door person in a traditional dress to the General Manager were very kind and attentive. Food at Padmini was very good and also drinks while watching sunset from outside. We recommend this five star hotel to anyone who values excellent food and service at a reasonable price.

Stayed at The LaLiT Laxmi Vilas Palace and the stay was very pleasant. The staff thoughtfully arranged beautiful decorations for my wife’s birthday and even presented a birthday cake, which made the celebration extra special. Highly recommended for their warm hospitality and excellent service.

The Padmini hotel is really good. The food is perfect, especially if you’re a food and wine connoisseur. The service was even better, Rahul and Polomi served us, they were very professional and humble. Loved the royal vibe here.
