Simply fabulous!! The riverside setting (they gave us the perfect spot for our special day) The service was eager and friendly (Shubhankar was superb). The other person who seemed like the Captain/Manager was very polite as well and told us about their other restaurant. The food: everything is great. But the Goan fare!! You have to try the Goan specialities here. The Chicken Cafreal had that subtle sour note which most amateur places miss. The Poi also played its part to perfection.. If you know your food, you will find the items served here screaming “AUTHENTIC GOAN” in every bite. My better half found both her veg appetiser choices to be wonderful too. Drinks were on point as well. And the Chocolate Tart completed the meal like a Star. The Music: Elviro & Elroy (please pardon us 🙏 if we made a mistake with your names) can put many professional musicians to shame with their near perfect renditions of classic, feel good, English music. Thanks for acknowledging our special evening with your song. Your music alone can bring folks back to this place. We recently visited The Lazy Goose and it turned out to be a fantastic experience. The location itself is beautiful, set by the riverside, giving it a calm and relaxing vibe—perfect for a laid-back meal. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great mix of Goan and continental flavors. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and well-presented. The seafood, in particular, was fresh and flavorful. The service was attentive and friendly, making the overall experience even better. The ambience, especially during sunset, adds a special charm to the place. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot in Goa if you’re looking for good food, scenic views, and a peaceful dining experience. Highly recommended!

So this review is not about food mostly. My wife had greek falafels which were average (but too expensive), I had stuffed mud crabs which were Good. Food mostly is on costlier side so keep that in mind. View from restaurant is good, some mosquito issues are there due to proximity of water. Now the Problem is servers can't comment about all of them, but the one which served us was medium height clean shave in his 20s was extremely rude (forgot his name). The restaurant is a hospitality business and these kind of people should never work at such a place. You go to a restaurant to have an experience not to get your mood spoiled. If the lady goose wants to run itself properly first of all get rid of these kind of people. We asked him that our table we are feeling warm could you place us somewhere closer to fan he said "khud baitho jha baithna hai". Very poor experience. The place is slightly off route take the curved service road to reach here. It's not a air conditioned restaurant so don't go if weather is warm. Washrooms are available. Limited parking is available on road by self.

Visited The Lazy Goose restaurant twice as a family for dinner and had a wonderful time enjoying the wonderful riverside views, service and food. 2nd time we did a boat trip organised buy Jervis the manager before dinner from directly outside the restaurant. A cruise along the backwater and to sea to watch the sunset. Saw some lovely nature and a dolphin. Arranged drink on the boat. All well organised and overall a fantastic experience. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

I stumbled upon The Lazy Goose by chance, and I’m genuinely glad I did. It’s a beautiful spot overlooking the Nerul River, with a calm atmosphere that immediately makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment. I ordered the Goose Beef, Bacon & Cheese Burger along with their Bebinca & Ice cream. Both were outstanding. The burger was easily the best one I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and just done right. The bebinca was just as memorable, rich and absolutely delicious. What really stood out was the warm hospitality. The entire experience felt relaxed, welcoming, and thoughtfully put together. I’d absolutely recommend this place if you’re in Goa and looking for great food in a lovely setting.

Visited this place the other day. Very beautiful place. Cool vibes. The cocktails were so refreshing as well as the food was delicious. I would specifically recommend to taste the mutton vindaloo . Overall I had a great experience.

Fresh vibe by the river side. Very good and courteous staff. Prompt service. Tasty & delicious food. I recommend to try their crab dishes 🦀. Things are slightly on the pricer side but it worth a visit. Also must try their Feni cocktails.🍹

Had an amazing lunch with close friends in the third fourth week of Dec 25. Great food and an amazing ambience by the Nerul river. Ordered crabs & butter-garlic prawns for starters and Goan kingfish curry with rice & grilled chonuk for the main course. Ended the meal with authentic Goan desserts including bibianca with ice cream. Must visit while in Goa

The Lazy Goose was a random Google discovery during my Goa trip. I saw one photo of the backwaters surrounding the place and instantly decided to visit. And honestly, it was completely worth it. The highlight is definitely the stunning backwater view, which you can enjoy clearly right from your table - absolutely beautiful and so calming. The live singing added such a soothing vibe to the whole experience, and the food was delicious too. Their Goan dishes are a must-try and truly did not disappoint. This ended up being one of my favourite spots from the entire trip. ✨✨

Chonak Steak - We ordered the lemon butter garlic preparation. The fish had very less garlic and salt, almost none. The potato had no salt. The salad which came with the fish steak was pretty well seasoned. Chicken Steak - Chicken was too dry and a bit hard. We also ordered tomato bruschetta which were really good and ample quantity. Bebinca with ice cream was delicious. Ice cream was a bit less in quantity.

It is situated away from the beaches and the "party" crowd. Tucked away on the banks of Nerul river in a calm setting. Staff is very polite and welcoming and service is top notch. We ordered virgin colada and riverside bliss for the drinks and the bartender did a great job. For the mains grilled chicken breast and grilled chicken steaks with stroganoff penne pasta and everything was cooked with full of Savory flavours. And they catch their sea food fresh which can be seen at the entry.

Ended up coming here twice for dinner because the food was that good. The risotto on my first visit was outstanding, and the Thai curry the next time didn’t disappoint either. Even the chef’s special dessert of the day was spot on. Definitely recommending this—easily one of my favourite places to eat in Candolim.

Beautifully located and decorated restaurant by the river. Very modern decor. Great ambiance; there was a nice band on a Friday night playing US hits. The service is extremely nice and welcoming and the senior host is such a gentleman. The food was good. We had the lobster which was excellent with the garlic lemon sauce and the Crab in a spicy sauce,also good. We did not enjoy the Vietnamese rolls, a little too fried. The chocolate/hazelnut tarte was rich and good. I agree with other reviewers that this restaurant is a must visit while in North Goa..

Absolutely brilliant restaurant, great location overlooking the water (it is down some steps from the road). The food was excellent, the service was friendly and efficient, and the price was very reasonable considering the quality.

Very nice ambience, great hospitality and amazing food. I visited with family and 2 toddlers. Staff was very helpful and courteous enough to also give crayons and paper to keep children engaged. Really appreciate this !! We ordered Sausage Chilly and pasta and all were great dishes. I really enjoyed this place and food. Will Look forward to visit next time again to this place on my travel to Goa…

Excellent food, even better service! The atmosphere was relaxing, and we watched the sunset on the river as we ate. We were worried it would be busy, as the location is so beautiful, but it was actually not at all. Delicious Goan food, I had the sausage chilly, my brother had the red snapper. Both were incredible. What stood out the most was the service, our waiter Sisir went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. If you’re looking for a great way to spend an evening in Goa, this is the place.

Fabulous setting with great views. We were a very big group, but the service was excellent. Food was lovely with something for everyone. We were a group of 15 ranging from 8yrs to 80, and we all loved it. Great music and ambiance.

Had a fabulous time here with friends and family, right from the time we stepped into the place till the time we left we had such a good experience. Food was amazing!

We ordered - red snapper recheado - crab butter garlic - chonak rawa fry - pork sorpotel - Serradura Very warm n polite staff. And everything was superb and fresh. Excellent preparation and quantity. Except Serradura which was extreme sweet. Oh and amazing playlist. Not too loud so we could chat as well n yet we kept swaying to the songs. Will definitely visit again whenever here.
