London has some of the best museums in the world and so many of then are free to boot. This museum is well set up to tell the story of of London from prehistoric times all the way into the modern Era. Each section highlights major events, technologies, and traditions to illustrate the corresponding time period. The medieval section and the women's suffrage exhibits particularly captured my attention.

Really interesting exhibition about the history of London. Lots of really interesting artefacts to see and a few videos to watch. This is not really suitable for young kids, but would be great for teenagers and adults. A really great video about world war 2, but it is extremely sad. Lovely cafe at the entrance too. Well worth a visit.

Excelente museu com toda a história do local onde cresceu desenvolveu a linda cidade e toda a envolvente de Londres. Os bilhetes são gratuitos, mas é necessário reservar entrado, por acaso quando fomos como não havia muitos visitantes, fomos uma segunda-feira de manhã, podemos entrar logo, caso contrário se o Espaço tivesse lotado, não poderíamos entrar… Aconselho vivamente a visita… Os objetos muitos deles estão disponíveis para serem tocados, o que torna a experiência ainda mais genuína…

Como eu amei esse museu! Eu fiquei fascinada com a riqueza de detalhes! É uma tremenda aula de Historia, sem ser chata ou longa. Mas é intensa! Para mim este é um dos melhores museus de Londres. É lindo, instrutivo, esclarecedor. Quando acabou eu me senti mais inteligente, mais rica. Todo dividido e contado com o tempo, é tao bem montado, tao rico em detalhes que voce se sente la, naquela epoca. E tem salas que meus olhos encheram d'agua, como a sala di grande incendio de Londres de 1666, a sala das Grandes Guerras, a sala da Peste, e a super emocionante sala das Olimpiadas, com a escultura usada na abertura e fechamento dos jogos. Emocionante! Super museu! Super aprendizado. E a lanchonete do museu tem comidas deliciosas, com preço bom. Super recomendo

Museum has some good and some kinda boring exhibits. However this is personal choice. For me, not being a Londoner it wasn't all for me. However was very informative. I preferred the later part where there was more fun things there. I did feel the guy explaining they were a charity at the beginning a bit much. We and I'm sure most people understand that these places are relying on funding and donations. However we would prefer to donate in peace without feeling forced. After all the tickets were free, it's the least we can do is spare money for them. As I'm sure most will feel the same.

A very unorganized, chaotic museum with not a lot of organization in my opinion. Would be easy to miss things. Exhibits were good in places but never sure the order or the direction to look at them. Not enough on certain time periods yet more on others. Needs more structure. Free to enter so worth coming for something to do. Nice little gift shop and there’s a cafe but did not use it so cannot comment about that.

Great museum about the history of London from ancestry til now. Free entrance, donations are suggested. Wide variety of sections. It is distributed depending on the ages. Still has a section of the original Roman arches. Ideal to go with kids and anybody else. Very nice staff. 5 stars

All about the history of London, very interesting and not too exhausting. Entry is free. Super nice employees. My favourite part was the (little) grime exhibition. If you're into music, especially rap, you don't want to miss it.

Don't let the outside fool you. This museum is one of the best around. If your from London or the UK then the relevance of this place is worth the visit. Great for kids education which includes 'The Black Death' and 'The Great Fire of London'. Don't forget to visit the Roman walls outside the museum which is part of the complex. Estimated time spent 2.5 hours. Free tickets to be bought online in advance. Train station is next door. Food wise there is an in-house cafe and many food options 5 min walk away. Parking is free on a Sunday a few minutes walk away but is inside the congestion zone.

This is one of the best museum of London. Here entry is free. But just to register online. Very big and very nice museum. In this place, where you can see all ancient things when London was not devlopted, which is with limited land and after that how they expanded in such form. They display very well. Must visit place Kids might like but explain them by read all the details written over their.

The best thing about museum of London is approaching on the high walk. There are three lifts in direction of St. Paul's to take you up. I've attached some photos of outside. Especially the London wall you see briefly from a shielded location . I hope new museum site is connectioned by a high walk to keep pedestrians away from traffic and give a great view of the " connection " to the cultural mile. I suggest Victorian cast iron at height using the same pattern as smith field market.
