Cinnamony Me

The “Maria Dowling” name clearly no longer stands for what it once did.
This salon thrives on the illusion of prestige — a name built years ago, now used to lure trusting clients into a deeply mismanaged, indifferent, and reputation-abusing operation.
I came in after carefully planning weeks ahead from Europe, transparently sharing my needs, timeline, and expectations. I was treated not with care, but with casual disregard. A botox treatment was sold to me with one set of rules, only to be redefined later for the salon’s own convenience. When I flagged this, I wasn’t met with professionalism — I was met with gaslighting.
Apparently, when a high-paying, well-informed client follows your protocol, the appropriate response is to shift the blame, deny what was said, and suggest they misunderstood. Convenient. Disgraceful.
There is zero accountability here. Zero consistency. And zero respect for the kind of client this brand still pretends to serve.
Maria Dowling may once have meant something. Today? It’s a hollow name stamped on cold replies, careless execution, and the slow erosion of trust. I feel misled. I feel exploited. And yes — I feel cheated.
The fact that this salon still trades on its founder’s name is a disservice to everything that name used to stand for.
