Very poor coordination and communication. The day before yesterday, I visited the clinic with my wife. We waited more than 45 minutes to meet the doctor. During the consultation, we clearly explained the test requirements and insurance process. After the consultation, the nurse informed us that insurance approval would take some time and advised us to leave, assuring us that they would contact us once the approval was received. At that point, everything seemed fine. Yesterday, I received a call from the NMC Maysaloon branch informing me that the insurance had been approved and that I could visit the reception directly for the test. Today, around 8:00 AM, I visited the branch and showed the insurance approval message at the reception. The receptionist instructed me to take a token and wait. Later, I realized that she was new and was seeking assistance from other staff members for patient inquiries. Following her instructions, I took a token and went to the first-floor reception, where I again explained the entire situation. However, I was once again told to wait for my token number. After waiting for nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes, I finally met the doctor, who was surprised to see me and asked who had referred me to her. She informed me that there was no lab test scheduled and that the matter had nothing to do with her department. This incident clearly highlights a lack of communication and coordination among the staff. The reception team should take the time to properly listen to patients and understand the purpose of their visit before directing them. Had they listened carefully at the beginning, I would not have had to waste so much time waiting unnecessarily. The doctor was kind enough to apologize for the inconvenience, even though the mistake was not hers. However, the reception staff should be more attentive and ensure they understand patient requirements before providing instructions. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this branch to others. If you do visit, do not rely solely on the reception team’s guidance always seek confirmation or a second opinion to avoid unnecessary delays and frustration.
