Hotel Melody Park

Had a pleasant stay here last night. The room category I chose was spacious, clean, and well maintained. One of the highlights was the beautiful sunrise view from the room, which made the experience even better. The food was decent . What stood out the most was the service — the staff were attentive, courteous, and truly made the stay comfortable. Overall, a satisfying experience.

This is not a 3-star property as advertised. The room cleanliness and overall hospitality are very average. They provide only one water bottle per room and do not offer additional bottles easily. The rooms were filled with cockroaches, which made the stay very uncomfortable for our family. Unlike most 3-star hotels, they do not provide a buffet breakfast. If you opt for an extra bed, they simply give a mattress on the floor instead of a proper bed. Overall, this property does not meet basic standards for a family stay. I would not recommend it to families, especially since the place also operates more like a beer bar than a family-friendly hotel.

Worst service and very poor response to customer complaints. During our stay, we found a cockroach and dust in the room, but the staff did not handle the issue professionally. We had booked an Ultra Deluxe room, but upon arrival, we were given only a Deluxe room. Instead of reducing the room rate or offering proper compensation, the management claimed that the sea-view room they provided was equivalent in value to the Ultra Deluxe room. This was extremely disappointing and not what we expected. The management's attitude toward customer concerns was unprofessional, and the overall experience did not justify the amount paid. I would not recommend this hotel based on our experience.

People should prefer other place to stay. Management has no decency to speak over a complaint. Sanitary ware zero maintainance. Toilet Flush not working was not a serious problem for the manager. I booked online. When argued over toilet flush problem issue they told complaint to booking.com. feedback for management- improve service, improve language and politeness to speak with customer. Towels and bed linens not washed. 3 rupee soap they give as compliment, totally useless.

Hotel may appear good from outside Inside rooms are fine, but not worth the money. We stayed for 2 days TV was not working. Hotel people are not co operative They are rude. Once payment is made, they are be negligent on their services Not worth the money.

Two Terrible Beers and Even Worse Service If there was an award for the worst pint in town, this place would win by a landslide. We were served two beers that tasted like they’d been sitting in the sun since last summer – flat, sour, and downright undrinkable. When we politely mentioned it to the staff, they didn’t offer an apology or a replacement — instead, we were told we could buy new ones. Incredible. Apparently, here you get to pay twice for their mistakes. The service was as flat as the beer: uninterested, unhelpful, and completely devoid of basic hospitality. It’s as if customer satisfaction is a foreign concept to them.

So, the building from outside looks very appealing. We reached a few hours early as per our train. They did not have the room ready which is valid. We took a big room at 5th floor for just a few hours before our room was ready. It was charged 1200. This room was amazing. With sea view nice interior. When we got our room in 2nd floor, it was smelly, suffocating, small and view is of the window of the side building. So, if you are booking this hotel make sure to take a room in 4th or 5th floor. It seems these floors were added later and are very good. The lower floors are old and not worth the 3 star hotel price they are charging.

Worst experience. They are not providing anything that should be complementary compared to other 3 star hotel. Only one bottle of water per room, more than that will be chargeable. The balconies are dirty with bird shit. The corridor is dirty. No room service available like tea coffee.

Hotel Melody Park, Thiruvananthapuram is a good place to stay with clean and well-maintained rooms. The location is very convenient, as Sunrise Point, shopping areas, and the ferry point for Vivekananda Rock and the Thiruvalluvar Statue are all walkable from the hotel. A lift is available, which is helpful, especially for families and senior citizens. The hotel also has an in-house food facility, though we did not try it during our stay. Overall, it is a comfortable stay with a great location for sightseeing.

Excellent place to stay close to sunrise spot, friendly staffs with support all in terms. Stayed with my family and my son really enjoyed the stay. Recommend.

One of the best hotel in our 10days tour. Staff was too polite and well mannered. Location is just a walking distance from cruise tickets counter. And food was just 👌. Very clean dining area and tasty food

Spent Good Time but after booking Rooms and the payments is done they said there are no rooms or under maintenance.... We had to wait so much .... They didn't provide basic products as it was booked for 2 person.... Otherwisw it was 5/10

Very worst cleaning. Lot of INSECTS are there in bed and pillow and bedsheets. I got full allergy in body due to insect 🐝 bites. Very very worst and one of the room boy staff yesterday night he behaves very rude with staying person. I will give Zero mark for Hotel Melody Park.

Rooms are average, only one small soap available as toiletries. Only the best thing is the location of the hotel as it is very close to Vivekananda Rock.

The hotel surpassed all my expectations , staff behaviour also coperative and very good. The emenetis of hotel is awesome 👍

We stayed here for two nights. I booked deluxe seafacing room online. But, on the first day, we were given a part of interconnected family room where in the other room, another family was staying. The hotel staff closed the interconnected door and claimed that this was the only room they were having! We couldn't sleep at night because of the sound of the chaos coming from the other room. Next day after lot of pursuance, they gave us the actual room type I booked and it was somehow okay. But this hotel is not definitely a 3-star hotel. No toiletries, room and bathroom are not clean, a part-time restaurant is there which is closed for most of the time and no drinking water refill facilities. If you booked thinking it is 3-star, you will feel cheated.

Rooms were very nice we were 16 members we enjoyed it
