Mercy Health Hackley Campus

Due to compitition, in the Muskegon area. Mercy Health bought the competing hospitals. So there is not a hospital of choice. So your health care is determined by what health insurance you have.

No one wants to experience the ER but last night we ended up there with our toddler. The nurses and doctors were so wonderful! Many of them came in to check on her making sure she was fine and each spent the time to talk and inform us of the situation. Those that helped my daughter got down on their knees to talk with her eye to eye. They made her comfortable and calmed us. I was very impressed with our experience!

My family had a very pleasant experience with the nurses, assistants and doctors following my father in law’s emergency surgery. They even assigned a full time aid to our patient when he took his breathing machine off in confusion at night. We felt so comfortable and reassured with their care. Thank you for taking care of Gentry!

I have to say the nurses that my family dealt with while my father in law was here at the hospital for the most part were very passionate and very comforting to him. I can honestly tell you the young Social Worker who's initial starts with a "D" is very rude and was not compassionate towards his needs or well being. She was not helpful at all with our questions or concerns of his discharge home. She needs better training for communication for the needs of the patient and families. I would ask for someone else if a social worker is needed in a family's care plan..

We are from out of town. I am 25 weeks pregnant and the staff was very quick and kind. They got me right in and kept a close eye on me and my baby. Turns out I am just a bit hydrated and all will be fine in time. They reassured me that it was right to come in and get things checked out. The relief and comfort the O.B. staff was able to bring me truly means a lot. Thanks nurse Laura and staff.

I recent had a TURP procedure complete which required a two night stay. From the very moment that that checked in to the the time I was discharge the care was over the top. The doctors were were very informative about was was going to be done. I think they might have taken their cue from the nursing staff from the forth floor. They were were very polite and informative. The few times that I did need have a request their were very very prompt and always asked if there were anything else they could help me with. This was true for the day and night shift, which include Melanie, Daisy, Carla, Keith, Elbony, and weekend nursing staff, which I failed to get all the names, as well. Special thanks to all.

I've been in and out of this hospital all my life. They do the best they possibly can with the equipment and resources they have. I've experienced great people and not so great people. In the end, the doctors I've had and have all deserve the credit that people hardly give them. To the doctors whom have saved my life, I thank them. And not just the doctors, but the nurses and other hospital staff that don't get any credit at all, the ones who draw your labs, do the coding, answer the phones and deal with the general population and have to deal with people's bullcrap. I give 5 stars.

My husband was discharged on 2/28/20 about 3:00 pm after having a outpatient procedure. Being a Registered Nurse I noticed how lethargic he still was his nurse told me to go get the car in which I did. I pulled up at the discharge area waiting for him to be wheelchair out . A young female working as security came out and told me I had to move my car up so a middle age man could get his mom out. I informed her I too was waiting on a discharge. When I looked this man tried to box me in the parking area where my husband could not get in the car. This man needing to get his mom out had a huge dog in one arm and his mom got out perfectly fine with little or no help.While it took all the nurse and I had to keep my husband from falling because the anesthesia still had him lightheaded, dizzy, weak, and unbalanced. The security officer used poor judgement and it put my husband physical health in jeopardy of a potential injury. Hackley Hospital preventive care is extremely poor. I will be doing all of my family health care needs at Mercy from here in.

I called an ambulance on Dec 23. 2017, to bring my husband to Hackley ER, he was unresponsive and and his blood sugars were low. I was in awe of the wonderful treatment he received. He was extremely ill, and i was so distraught! The entire staff was both caring and knowledgeable, and took great care, not only of my husband, but showed me so much compassion. The RN Rebecca, and everyone else, including Andrew, the Pharmacist, were attentive, professional, and outstanding!

The Emergency Room care is horrible, no information, inattentive , would be great if the ambulance could transport to Ottawa county. I haven’t had an experience with a mercy facility that was a good one. Do yourself and your loved one a favor and go to north Ottawa or spectrum

This hospital is a joke! The front security guard thinks hes secret service and is really rude. Hes to busy flirting with the front desk lady trying to be cool the emergency room is to help people in need not act like barny from the Andy Griffith show. Mercy is way more professional.

The staff was very calming, courteous and professional in handling my visit to the er. They did everything to assure me that it wasn't my heart after all, but my lung was inflamed and rubbing against my rib cage. Thanks and Kudos to all of the staff that handled my visit.

Takes FOREVER to get any care here. Sitting in the hospital right now and have been waiting for over an hour for another pillow. Waited almost an hour and a half for my meds... .had to get another nurse to find mine so I could finally get them. Just pure lack of care for the patients . Nurse just got snotty with me due to my monitor needing to be plugged in. It went off like 6 times. NO one came in til I spoke up. Her response to me was "yeah, it needs to be plugged in." NOT MY JOB. NOT A GOOD THING TO DO TO A PATIENT. TERRIBLE HOSPITAL. AVOID IT IF POSSIBLE. GO TO MERCY ON SHERMAN. Wished o could have stayed there.

I had a horrible experience here, the night shift care giver Robin cared more about her phone then anything. Lazy!! The Doctors and the Surgical team were awesome. North 3 night staff need more training and learn how to respect people when they need rest .

Went into ER was running a high fever so they took me back to room 13 got me all hooked up to IV and when the lab girl came in to take blood she asked if I had threw up I said no why well there was puck all over the cart I was laying on even on the sheet and on the floor and the lab tech told the nurse an the supervisor in charge and they did nothing about it, finely a girl came in an wiped the side of the cart but the supervisor and nurse should have moved me to a clean room. So be careful when you go to Hackley Hospital. Just disgusting.

For someone who came in as a trauma the care here is really lacking. Nurses not doing their hourly checks, IV's not being checked when they are occluded leaving the patient without pain meds for over 24 hours. Call light broken and no one does anything about it or when it was working it was IGNORED for two hours, the excuse the nurse gave? "We've been busy". Absolutely unacceptable care! A nurse's assistant that identifies himself as PT and PUSHES a patient then KICKS a broken foot. Nurses (Taylor) who REFUSES to go into a patient's room and give him his DOCTOR ORDERED pain meds! This is patient neglect, 100!%! Absolutely unacceptable!!!!

Rude!!!! I was at the door a few minutes early and when the lady at the desk unlocked the door she just walked away. It seems to me that I could have been greeted and she may have said "good morning and come on in". I would say that there should be some manners and respect taught, as children but may need to be retaught again as an adult for some.

I would rate 0 if It was an option. The staff are extremely rude. The nurses lack bedside manner and compassion. The nurses speak to the patients in a rude and demanding tone. Do not leave your loved ones unattended in this place.

The nursing staff, as well as the campus, was beyond unprofessional. Apparently they think HIPPA LAWS DO NOT apply to them ? Because I can tell you all about other patients ,& medical history and why they were there , because their was absolutely no privacy. While waiting to be called back for surgery a nurse picked up a patients chart , that has been waiting to be called back , and starts a personal conversation and has to show the other staff pics on her phone , after she completed her personal conversation then she called the patient back ( nothing else was holding her no labs or nothing came to her ) .AND NOW YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT DIRTY? Blanket with a blood stain and adhesive sticky residue , Broken crayons on the floors amongst other things. That is all on the staff.. As far as the Hospital , nasty curtain room dividers, nurses station desks with countless chips (from beds with patients in them?) Floors not mopped and shiny .I just hope the talented surgeon we had separates from you before this nasty hospital ruins his reputation. And funny while waiting in pre op the "clipboard " people came and told them of violations like not dating the sharps disposale , and IV trays in an unacceptable place Hmm maybe I should have pointed out the other nasty crap! Just hope the great surgeon can go to a better facility before his reputation is linked to here and ruined !

Went to the ER at 4 PM cause our pediatrician said get there ASAP, got sent from the ER to a room, back to the ER, waited for 3 hours of blood work when it could have been started way earlier when they knew they had to run bloodwork anyways. Their main line here is it will only be a few minutes” that then turns into hours and Every department blamed each other for “communication error”. Oh they gave me $10 towards the cafeteria!!! Hahaha what a joke. Oh and my wife had our child 5 days ago so we had a 5 day old with us. It’s now 9:39 and we are still in the ER waiting on our room to be ready which we were told at 9 it was ready. Going on 6 hours for a plan for jaundice and getting his blood work done twice.
