موزه متروپولیتن نیویورک

بزرگترین، پربازدیدترین و بهترین موزه ایالات متحده و نیویورک اینجاست - همچنین یکی از پنج موزه بزرگ هنر دنیا با دو میلیون اثر مختلف - گالری مصر گالری آفریقا - گالری ایران باستان و برخی آثار شاهنامه مثل بیژن و منیژه غرور آفرین بود. کل اثار در قالب هفده گالری و سه نمایشگاه موقت نمایش داده شده که از تمام کشورهای دنیا حداقل چند اثر هست. همچنین مجموعه کالکشن های راکفلر و رابرت لمن و چندین میلیاردر آمریکایی در این موزه وجود داره. بخش مجسمه های تزئینی اروپایی و نقاشی به شدت متنوع و نادر بود. ویوی دیدنی به سنترال پارک با روف گاردن به سمت برج های نیویورک - آثار اینجا چشم انسان رو به روی دنیا و حقایق باز می کند. گرچه این مدل موزه ها پارادوکس عجیبی دارند و اونم اینه که چرا آثار کشورهای دیگه و هنرمندانی که در فقر مردند و در جنگ نابود شدند در این موزه هاست.

موزه متروپولیتن بسیار زیبا و بزرگ بود. یکی از بزرگ‌ترین و مشهورترین موزه‌های جهان به شمار می‌رود. این موزه در منهتن نیویورک و در ضلع شرقی سنترال پارک و خیابان پنجم واقع‌شده است. قدمت این موزه به سال ۱۸۷۲ میلادی برمی‌گردد که شامل مجموعه بزرگی از تاریخ اسلام و ایران باستان است. این موزه بی‌نظیر مربوط به هنر است و سالانه حدوداً ۴ میلیون بازدیدکننده از نقاط مختلف جهان برای بازدید از این موزه با خرید بلیط هواپیما عازم این کشور می‌شوند. یکی از قدیمی‌ترین آثار موجود در این موزه مربوط به ۳۰۰ هزار سال پیش است که سنگ آتشزنه‌ نام دارد و در کشور مصر یافت شده است. این موزه به نام موزه کلان‌شهر هنر نیز شناخته می‌شود و با عنوان «the Met» که مخفف عبارت «the Metropolitan» است، در میان اهالی و گردشگران شهرت دارد. در سال ۲۰۱۶ حدوداً هفت و نیم میلیون نفر از نقاط مختلف جهان برای بازدید به این موزه آمده بودند که در این سال بیشترین تعداد بازدیدکننده سالانه را از آن خود کرده است. همچنین The Metropolitan Museum of Art New Yorkدر همان سال به‌عنوان سومین موزه هنری از نظر تعداد بازدید معرفی‌شده بود و همین امر باعث محبوبیت بیشتر این موزه برای دوست داران دنیای باستان شده است. این موزه با هدف محلی برای نگهداری اشیای هنری از سراسر جهان بوده است که آثار تاریخی موزه متروپولیتن شامل مجسمه‌ها و تندیس‌های به یادگار مانده از دوران باستان، انواع نقاشی‌ها با ابعاد متفاوت، کوزه‌گری‌ها، سنگ‌نوشته‌ها و... هستند. این آثار هنری در موزه متروپولیتن با دقت کامل نگهداری می‌شوند و مسئولان نیز در نگهداری از این آثار بسیار دقت کرده و از نابودی و فرسایش این آثار جلوگیری می‌کنند.

We had a wonderful experience at The Met. My advice is to purchase tickets online in advance and decide which sections of the museum you would like to explore before your visit. The best time to arrive is right before opening and head straight to the area you want to see first. We did exactly that and went directly to the Impressionist collection, which was at the top of our list. Because we arrived early, we were able to enjoy that section before it became crowded. As the hours go by, the museum gets very busy. The Met is enormous and definitely deserves at least 2–3 days to fully appreciate everything it has to offer. There is still so much for us to see, and we look forward to coming back.

Love the MET! It always hits everytime. Each wing is different and engaging. Have gone with people who don’t live museums, and they loved it! The Egyptian wing is absolutely incredible. Temple of dendur is amazing. I reccomend eating at other places though. Food is expensive, and very mediocre. Cafes aren’t horrible for small snacks. Gelato is excellent. GO THROUGH SIDE ENTRANCE. There was 0 wait. If you go through the front, it could be like 30 min. Also, you can park at their own deck. You have to pay in advance though. It’s very convenient to enter the museum.

Probably the best overall museum in the world. Astounding collections, through dozens of various times and places. It’s hard to even put it in words how awesome this museum is. The only negative I can list right now is there seems to be a lot of places roped off, for seemingly no reason. Also the modern art section is being expanded and renovated so there’s only a small collection of that, which is a bummer because I’ve been into more contemporary art recently. But that barely touches the joy I get from this place.

A NY ho visitato tre dei musei più famosi e il MET è quello che non taglierei mai da un viaggio a NY. Un museo immenso, meraviglioso. Ci sono entrata in un sabato di pioggia senza sapere che fosse così grande ed è stato un viaggio bellissimo. Tantissime opere, bellissimi ambienti, girabile e pieno di aree diverse. Ci tornerei ancora. Se avete poco tempo questo è il museo da non saltare assolutamente. 5 stelle con lode.

This Museum has something for everyone. Everything from Impressionist masterpieces - Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Degas - to the abstract impressionist painting of Jackson Pollock. The Frank Lloyd Wright Prairie House Room reconstruction is a must see for any architecture fan. The Egyptian collection is superb - and extensive. There are many rooms dedicated to sculpture from early Roman/Greek to ancient Cambodian treasures. My only complaints about the museum are the unexpected gallery closures ( the Jackson Pollock was unavailable on the day I went) and the lack of a 2-day ticket option ( with discount for a second day). It is impossible to see this whole museum in a day ( without your feet complaining bitterly) - so a second day is highly recommend or plan your itinerary before you go - so you make it to the exhibitions/ galleries you want to see. Line ups can be huge - but it is a huge gallery with plenty of space - so you will get in.... Eventually. Great disabled access, with large doors & lots of elevators. This is a Must-do.

This might be the best museum in New York I’ve ever been to. What I love about the Metropolitan Museum of Art is the Victorian style paintings, and also the Victorian rooms, filled with furniture and paintings from that era, which feels like you are immediately transported back to the 1800s. There are also millions of Egyptian paintings and tombs, which I find quite fascinating, and you probably will too. Overall, This museum is probably the best one out there, tickets priced at 30 dollars, which is quite affordable in my opinion. If you are visiting New York City and are looking for something fun to do, visit this museum.

Amazing art pieces. I could spend a day just walking h around. Unfortunately my feet were tired. Price was $30 per person so be sure to spend your time wisely. No wait. Didn’t concoct check. Overall a great experience while visiting New York.

One of the best museums, a must-visit in NYC! •Went here initially on a Wednesday, days after the snowstorm and it was closed. No announcement online but there was a signage on the entrance. •Returned to finally see the Met and it was totally worth it!! Amazing collections and interactive displays! •An absolute treasure. Two million objects, 5,000 years of history, and enough to fill a dozen visits. •The Egyptian Wing, European paintings, and rooftop garden alone make it worth the trip. Wear comfortable shoes, arrive early on weekends, and don’t try to see it all — just pick a few wings and enjoy. One of the best museums in the world. •Staff are very kind and helpful. •Clean, well-maintained areas.

Es uno de los mejores museos de Manhattan. La muestra de civilizaciones es increíble. Sobre todo por el trabajo en las salas que se adecuaron para cada objeto que se presenta. Por otra parte, las salas con pintura permiten comprender un poco más de los momentos más importantes del arte más reciente. Mi favorito es el impresionismo. Exponentes de primera.

Used private tour for intimate 2.5 hour experience. There is so much to see in the MET but would recommend someone to show you the classics and even provide the history. Will definitely go back again to continue taking in all the incredible artwork and they are always changing it too! Looking forward to going back when the modern exhibit opens. Felt cool to also walk the area where the MET Gala is held with the pyramid room. So much to see and such a fascinating history involved.

ＮＹ3回目にして初めて訪問。訪問日は、プレジデントデイと言うことで月曜日ながら休日でしたが、MOMAより混雑してなくて、予約無しでも待たずに入れるました。入り口では、バックパックなどの大きな荷物は、チェックがあります。絵画、民族物？等かなりの展示数で、全部見るなら１日かかるかも。私は、ヨーロッパ絵画とアフリカの展示を見るだけでチカラ尽きました。館内はベンチ等、座れる場所も多いので、休憩しながらゆっくり見るのがおすすめ。館内のカフェは混雑してます。ヨーロッパ絵画はお馴染みの印象派の絵も多くありますので、それだけ見ても楽しめます。おすすめです。

Definitely worth adding to your itinerary. Booking tickets was very convenient, especially with the help of our local friend in New York. Getting there was easy via Uber, but we highly recommend planning your visit in advance since the museum is massive. Having a map (if available) is extremely helpful. Once inside, it feels like an endless journey through history—you can learn so much just walking through the exhibits. There are also spots inside where you can buy souvenirs. We visited during peak hours in winter (December 2024), so it was very jam-packed. Because of that, we chose to eat at nearby restaurants instead. That said, they do have a canteen inside the museum, which is convenient. Even during busy times, there are plenty of food options just outside the museum as well. Overall, it was a wonderful and enriching experience.

A Great Historical and Art Museum in New York. Huge Building, Vast collection of paintings, sculptures, artifacts. Museum is so huge it's divided in sections of world's continents. And there are maps and signages to guide you. As Indians we visited the Indian section and were amazed by the vast collection of Indian art and history they have. Clean restrooms inside. Thousands of people visit here everyday. Simply loved it.👍🏻😍

While many of the areas were closed off during the winter, I enjoyed their curation for the lunar New Year celebration. Many of the v volunteer members and children dressed up in traditional Chinese wear. In particular, I'm grateful towards the Chinese scroll explanation and references for the national Palace museum in Taipei. Much of the other exhibits were geared towards children, but fun nonetheless The usual half floors remain empty and are a great spot for some quiet time

Es increible de verdad. Los cuadros que tienen allí son de otro nivel. Las salas son bastante laberínticas y recomiendo coger un mapa. Yo no hice visita guiada. Hay tiendas tambien con regalos del museo por todas partes. Una cafeteria. Y un templo egipcio. Estaría bien que vigilarán un poco mas porque tuve que decirle a una mujer y un niño que no tocarán un sarcófago. Soy graduada en historia del arte y me parece una falta de respeto ir tocando cosas en un museo. Pero es increíble.
