Mirage Hotel Colombo

I stayed at this hotel for one night. The room was spacious and had the basic amenities required for a short stay. However, I was disappointed with several aspects of my stay. When I called to book the room, I was informed that it had a city view. After entering the room, I realized there was no view at all. When I opened the window, all I could see was the apartment building next door, which was very disappointing. The air conditioning worked, but it was quite noisy. There were also noticeable train sounds coming into the room, which made it difficult to relax. Only bath towels were provided — there were no face towels. In addition, the hot water was not functioning properly. Overall, while the room was spacious, there are several areas that need improvement to ensure a more comfortable guest experience.

My overall stay was okay. 😊 The rooms were quite good, clean and comfy but it's very old. Bathroom fittings was not up to the mark. The service was alright; some staff were helpful, others less so. 😐 However, the location was fantastic, really convenient! 🗺️ It was easy to get around. 🚶

Stayed for three nights about 1 and a 1/2 years ago and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were excellent—well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable, home-like stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and hot water and other amenities were consistently reliable. The location is very convenient, with easy access to Marine Drive and plenty of nearby dining options. The food at the hotel was also impressive, offering a wide variety of fresh and well-prepared dishes. What truly stood out was the staff—friendly, courteous, and always willing to help. The overall atmosphere was calm and peaceful, creating a very relaxing ambience. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Colombo.

It was good stay during Colombo , the pleace was clean and staff was too good and friendly and they were helpful also. Food was also good and the Teresa ( balcony) from Resturent side was perfect. Really service was very good. Thank you guys . Best regards Lucia & Rana 🇧🇩🇸🇰

Für Europäer ungeeignet. Wer Sauberkeit, gute Betten und Wasserschäden/Schimmel im Zimmer sehen möchte ist genau hier an der richtigen Adresse. Entspannung Fehlanzeige. Hotel liegt direkt neben der Bahngleise. Für Bahnfans empfehlenswert. Weckdienst am Morgen mit Garantie. Strand nicht nutzbar nur für Fotos. Personal freundlich und stets bemüht

Came here for a birthday celebration and the only thing served quickly was attitude. The manager on the 2nd floor was extremely rude and disrespectful to the guests. Food arrived super late, and the portion sizes were surprisingly poor. Overall, a terrible experience with disappointing service and hospitality. If you’re planning to celebrate a special occasion here, honestly go elsewhere they’ll only end up ruining your day.

We had a great stay at the Mirage Hotel. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and engaging. We had a large room overlooking the ocean. Breakfast is fab and the covered outdoor swimming pool is very refreshing after a long seaside walk. Special mention to Ms Visuddhika at the front desk. She was enormously helpful to us during our stay.

We had book the beach facing room but as we reached the said it is unavailable and provide us a city facing room, and I was surprised to see that the city means the opposite side as I open the window I see the balciny of a residential house also the room had a foul smell. Then they provided us another room and that was having half beach facing which was better then the first so we had stayed there. Just opposite the hotel is the beach and it is quite accessible in that way. Nearby you have good vegetarian restaurants as well. The chauffer there was quite friendly.

Es ist, wie es ist: alt, dreckig, muffig … • Alles kaputt und veraltet • Flecken überall auf den Bettlaken • Schimmel im Bad an der Decke • Poolwasser sehr trüb. Wir sind nicht reingegangen, es war zu ekelhaft. • Frühstück: Gläser nicht ordentlich gewaschen. Das Essen geht, aber nicht mit anderen Vier-Sterne-Hotels vergleichbar. • Zimmerkarte funktioniert nicht immer, man muss immer wieder runterlaufen. Innerhalb von vier Tagen sechsmal. • Eine der Klimaanlagen war defekt und arbeitete auf höchster Stufe. Sie konnte nicht eingestellt werden. • Preis-Leistung: mangelhaft • Vier Nächte übernachtet, nicht ein einziges Mal wurde die Bettwäsche gewechselt. Am besten die vier Sterne wegnehmen und 0 bis 2 Sterne vergeben … Würde niemandem dieses Hotel empfehlen. Vor allem, wenn ihr mit Kindern reisen solltet, geht hier nicht hin … Nur Ekel ist in Erinnerung geblieben …

The hotel's location was perfectly strategic—conveniently situated just a 5-minute walk from the train station and vibrant shopping areas. The room offered a stunning ocean view, beautifully framed by the nearby railway track, creating a truly captivating scene. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay.

Best hotel in Sri Lanka. Clean, safe, friendly, great food. Highly recommend to any travellers

Otelin konumu biraz şehir merkezinden uzak ama hic sorun degil , tuk tuk kiralayarak her yere gidebilirsiniz. Otelin yemekleri lezzetliydi. Oda da ütü var manzara muhteşem.

Just wrapped up an amazing few nights at Mirage Hotel Colombo, and damn, this place delivers. Right on Marine Drive in Wellawatte, it’s literally steps from the beach with killer sea views those epic sunsets is the kind of thing that makes you forget you’re in the middle of a bustling city. The rooms are spacious, spotless, with solid AC, comfy beds. The staff. These guys are next-level friendly and genuinely eager to help with literally anything. From the doormen who greet you like old friends, to the front desk sorting out last-minute requests without batting an eye. It’s the kind of warm, no-fuss Sri Lankan hospitality that turns a good hotel into a memorable one. Overall, great value for a 4-star spot—clean, modern, oceanfront location, and service that actually feels personal. Highly recommend if you want that perfect mix of relaxation and convenience.

First time for in this hotel. I used to stay all over but due to the T20 matches, I couldn't go to Granbell or Marino. I always look for the location, cleaness of the room an bathroom. Both of this has been passed by the hotel. The last thing I look for is the staff's attitude. In this, I have mixed feelings. The restaurant staff, the bell boys, the greeters etc was excellent but for some reason, I cannot say the same for the front office staff. Something about the front office staff's attitude bothers me. Some of them just hate to be there. Thats all I can say.

I stayed there for 2 nights. The staffs are very friendly, rooms are clean. Great ocean view. Value for money. Easy access to near by places by walk. Overall it is a great hotel to stay as solo or family

Amazing hotel at best location. Food was good and tasty, all meals were included in hotel booking and they had variety of food options to choose from.

geräumige Zimmer, mit Klima-Anlage und Ventilator, üppiges Frühstück mit vielen guten landestypischen und internationalen Speisen. ideal zum Einstieg in die Reise durch dieses Land! sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal von der Lage - am Wellawatta Beach - hatten wir uns mehr erwartet, ist leider nicht wirklich schön, die Straße laut, der Strand schmutzig. war als Einstieg in die SriLanka-Reise mit Family nicht ganz ideal. gibt es vermutlich bessere Optionen.

Hotel is not 4 star, not really worth. Doesn't even feel like 2 star hotel. Very bad experience. Not many amenities are included. Maintenance is bad, room key card won't work, we have to inform the reception 3 times to get it charged. Hot water won't be available in the morning only, even though they use only 100% solar water heater.

Location: Exactly located opposite to the sea, marine drive. You can just cross the road and the railway track and you will be on the shore. Room: Room was good with the view. Ask for full sea view room. Its the best. Evening you will get direct sun light into the room and becomes so hot. But Air conditioner comes to rescue. Size of room is compact, its a compromise to be made for the view. Service: Service was very professional and friendly. Appreciated. Food: Food was good, what ever we had. They tried their best to cover different cusine in buffet. PS: no room for drivers keep in mind.

Very old and dirty rooms. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Love the location.
