One of the Best campus I've ever seen in dhaka city. Went there to attend 'Robolution-2025' organized by MIST robotics club.The whole event was greatly organized Campus is neat and clean, well decorated. Also it gives you a peace. In my opinion this is the best University campus in dhaka city. Also there is an official student dormitory 'Osmany Hall' for both male n female students. Overall the whole experience was nice.

It is under the affiliation of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), a university governed by the Armed Forces of Bangladesh.

Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) is a public engineering institute in Bangladesh located at Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka, Bangladesh. MIST is under the Ministry of Defence (Bangladesh) which is run by Military of Bangladesh and is affiliated with Bangladesh University of Professionals. Though a military institution, both military and civil students study in MIST. There are 12 departments, running with highly qualified teacher. Students of this institute are participating in different international conference, scientific challenges, program and so on.

MIST is a well-disciplined, army-run university focused on engineering. The campus is neat, clean, and well-maintained. Its infrastructure is modern and impressive. Overall, a good university for quality engineering education.

MIST is one of the finest University in Bangladesh. It was established on 19 April 1998. Its academic journey started with 40 military officers in 1999 and with civil students in 2003. Now MIST has more than 85% civil students. There are around 2500 UG students, 600 PG students and 350 faculty members. Also there are 12 Engineering Departments under 4 Faculties comprising of 110 PhD faculty members and 20 pursuing PhD. Now its student Faculty ratio - 8:1. Till now there are 4610 students already graduated. Maintaining high efficiency it has regular academic curriculum and graduation within 4 years at UG level. Its has outcome Based Education (OBE) system. It got Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE), Bangladesh accredited Engineering programs. MIST has peer reviewed online open access international journal. Notably there are 96 quality Engineering labs for applied knowledge and research. It Allocate its maximum budget / fund for research project and thesis. It has academic affiliation with many universities of the world and collaboration with many industries at home. MIST gladly accepts international students from near and far countries. It also providing consultancy and testing services to many national development projects.

A great but yet expensive university for public. Has a great, tidy and organized environment and also has a dress code.
