As I entered, I was immediately greeted by the cool air conditioning — a welcome contrast from the city’s tropical heat. Shops and Variety One of the things I appreciated the most was the variety of stores. From well-known clothing brands like Mr. Price and LC Waikiki to electronics shops selling phones, laptops, and accessories, there was a bit of everything. I took my time exploring some local boutiques too, which offered unique Tanzanian fashion pieces that you wouldn’t find in typical malls abroad. There was also a Shoprite supermarket, which was incredibly convenient. It had a wide selection of groceries — both local and imported — and the prices were fair. Food Court & Restaurants After walking around, I stopped by the food court. It had multiple options: pizza, chicken, local dishes, burgers — you name it. I tried some nyama choma with chips, served fresh and flavorful. While eating, I noticed how relaxed the vibe was — people laughing, kids playing, and background music playing softly. Entertainment & Services For entertainment, there’s a cinema inside the mall which shows both local and international films. I didn’t get the chance to watch a movie, but the posters looked promising. I also passed by a few bank branches and ATMs, which was convenient for anyone needing quick financial services. There’s also a salon and a phone repair shop — a good example of how the mall caters to everyday needs. Cleanliness & Security The mall was clean and secure. Security guards were present at every entrance, and there were clear signs directing people where to go. The restrooms were well-maintained, which I always consider a sign of a well-managed public place. Parking and Accessibility Mlimani City has a huge parking area, and it’s easy to access via both private cars and public transport. There’s always a flow of daladalas and boda bodas outside the gate, making it very accessible. My visit to Mlimani City Shopping Mall was enjoyable. 22/Jan/2026 I visited this mall numerous times during my stay in Dar es Salaam. The heat was unbelievable for someone from a Western or European countries. There appeared to be limited air conditioning. I basically visited to look for a replacement backpack and prices are high. I shopped at both major supermarkets and purchased about 2.5 million shillings of products to ship to Iringa. Vastly improved the quality of life while visiting Iringa.

MLIMANI CITY MALL is a shopper's paradise! This vibrant mall has everything you could wish for. From diverse supermarkets and an array of shops to tantalizing international and local restaurants, it caters to all tastes and needs. The highlight is the CENTURY CINEMAX movie theater, offering an unbeatable cinematic experience. Families will love the amusement park for kids outside, while the convenience of various bank branches and mobile network offices adds to the appeal. The mall is impeccably clean, with a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. With a vast parking lot, it's incredibly convenient.

Very nice mall opens 7am and closes 11pm each day. It has paid parking spaces where one is scan before entry. Every person is also scan before entering the mall.

The mall is getting lively day by day. Well lighted at night. More new shops are there. Game is closing down so yiu get everything at a discounted price where still some items are exp. Its a great mall. You get everything you need for your home. There is a cinema there. Lots of restaurants to choose.

Great place to shop and eat. This place has a American food like KFC, Subway (Subs and salads) and Pizza Hut. These are not at the main food court that has 7 different other restaurants. The nightlife here is also good at the Samaki Samaki restaurant that sometimes have a live band. Be careful how much you spend inside especially the supermarkets that 18% sales tax do add up quick.

This place is cool, I wasn't really expecting to see most of what I saw. So as far as I am concerned, the mall is pretty fantastic. It has all the essentials you might need, from food all the way to home appliances and kiddies place to play around.. and movies as well.. ( as you should expect from a mall)

I had a nice experience visiting Milimani City Mall and would rate it 4 stars overall. The mall is neat, clean, and well-maintained, giving a fresh and comfortable atmosphere for shoppers. One of the major advantages is the plenty of parking space available, which makes it very convenient for visitors and reduces the hassle of finding a spot, especially on busy days. The design of the mall feels luxury and spacious, which makes walking around pleasant and comfortable. Being the largest mall in Dar es Salaam, it has a lot to offer. Mr. Discount Supermarket inside the mall was particularly impressive with good product variety and reasonable choices. However, I did feel that the mall is relatively small in terms of floor space compared to other large malls globally. Adding more floors and expanding options would definitely make the shopping experience more attractive. At some stalls, the prices of products seemed quite expensive, which might not be suitable for everyone. Overall, the mall is already a great place but still has scope for improvement in terms of variety and affordability. It remains one of the best shopping destinations in the city, and I look forward to visiting again.

Amazing place to enjoy your weekend and holidays, has many shops you can purchase your needy items with variety of options. It also has a few spots for children's to enjoy like the car ride that is there. As a suggestion maybe the can keep a baby station/changing station for babies when they need it. Also they can add a small picnic area with a swimming pool for the audience to enjoy more family time.

1 of the Largest mall in Tanzania. No entry fees required. Just have to pay for the parking. They have supermarket (shoppers, game), clothing shops, electronic shops, jewellery stores, candy shops, perfume shops, electronic shops and many more branded and official outlets of famous brands. Many banks are also available with ATM services. They also have mobile service shops. Many eating places available (kfc, marrybrown), cafes available, icecream shops etc. Be sure to check outside as well as many eating places outside the mall. They also have a theatre (Century Cinemax) so you can also enjoy movies. Outside they also have a play area for kids with many small fun rides. There is Mini go karting. Prayer room is also there. On weekends and holidays it is very crowded.

From my short visit to DAR, there were not many options for shopping and malls where I was in Mbezi Beach. An Uber trip to Mlimani City was a good decision. Lots of options for dining in and take aways. Ended up at KFC and the quality was good. Bought some Cashews from Mr Discount and they are amazing.
