Saman is a scenic region stretching along the foothills of Central Zagros cut through by the main road connecting Isfahan and Shahr Kord megapolises. Apart from a designated nature park meant for public recreation, a significant portion of the region both on the hillside and the valley-side of the Saman road has been developed into commercial orchards, and sheep and goat farms by private investors; hence, adding further value to the fauna and flora of the greater Saman region. The scenic dual carriageway, though steep, winding and rather narrow in many spots requiring special caution by drivers of motor vehicles, is a pleasure to travel along and quite a gem of location stretch for lovers of nature photography!
