Our group spent a wonderful overnight stay at this beautifully restored ancestral home filled with charming antique furniture that takes you back in time while still offering every comfort. The peaceful atmosphere, relaxing pool, and the warmth and hospitality of the owners made us feel completely at home. Every little detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the complimentary breakfast was absolutely filling and delicious. Casa De Monterio offers a very homely vibe on Divar Island. Anybody visiting Divar for their wedding (like me) can easily house a couple of family members and even hold rituals, Agnes as a host and Sitara di and Nitesh bhai extend hospitality to great lengths. Very Hygienic spacious, and again as mentioned, Homely.

The property has the right blend of old Goan homes and the comfort of modern amenities nestled in Divar island away from the hustle of the typical Goan beaches. This is only topped by the warm hospitality offered by the owner and the staff. Aunty Agnes was very kind to cook Goan delicacies for us, which was the best ever home cooked Goan we have had. Topped with the custard pudding 🍮 just made our dinner sumptuous and satisfying. Overall the property is a completely packaged accommodation for a relaxing getaway with good food.

I spent a night at the Casa Desa Monteiro. We were a group of 9. We really enjoyed ourselves. The hospitality by the Monteiro family( Savio, Gayle and their Mother) was top notch. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The interiors take you back to the days of how our ancestors would spend their time.,it being a 140 year old House. The stay at the home was second to none. And evening walk down the road will lead you to the ferry jetty, nad you can just sit there and feel the breeze and watch the calm waters. Fishing on the island is another option to spend your time. I will definitely recommend this place.

We were a family of seven, who came together to celebrate the 60th birthday of one of us and to just chill. The villa was beautiful, clean and well maintained. It gave us a feel of comfort and luxury. We could park our two cars in the premises. We had a very relaxed time, thanks to the hospitality of the hosts and their responsiveness to our requirements. The natural surroundings added to the charm. We went on a mangrove safari, which was a memorable experience for many of us. The early morning walks in the neighborhood were refreshing. The neighbouring restaurants offered us delicious sea food. We would recommend this villa to others too.

Our host Savio took the time to explain its origins and all the work that had gone into renovating it. The outdoor spaces are very pleasant and make the most of Goa's climate. The host Gail & Agnes will go out of their way to help you and make your stay a truly great pleasurable experience. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable. The included scrumptious breakfast is a delight for your culinary pleasures. They will also custom cook a wonderful dinner for your party at your request .

Savio and Gail were quick to share details about the property and going ahead with the booking was a breeze. The villa is centrally located with a few shops around for basic needs. The DeSa family who are the hosts are very courteous and quick to make one comfortable. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Cleanliness in top notch and the villa is beautifully done up. The villa is filled with beautiful furniture. On request meals are prepared by the host herself (Aunty Agnes) and please take note it's authentic Goan food, so the taste is homely, and food is delicious and good spread. There were multiple power cuts, but the property has a DG set to keep the house powered at all times. One can park up to 4 cars securely inside the compound. All in all a pleasant experience and will surely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully restored Portuguese heritage home in Goa. The attention to detail in the decor was impressive, and it created a very cozy atmosphere. The neighborhood was quaint and peaceful, away from the touristy areas. We went for walks around the neighborhood almost every night. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating to our requests. Additionally, the traditional Goan meal prepared by Agnes aunty was amazing. Highly recommended!
