I am बेहद disappointed and frustrated with the service experience I have received from Motorola and its authorized service center in Dombivli.
My phone suddenly switched off, and I submitted it to the authorized service center around 10–12 days ago. Before visiting, I had clearly confirmed the turnaround time over a call and was assured that the device would be repaired and returned within 7 days. Based on this commitment, I chose to travel all the way from Vikhroli to Dombivli instead of opting for closer service centers that had quoted longer timelines.
However, after 7 days, when I followed up, I was informed that the device was still not ready due to “parts shortage” and was asked to wait for a few more days. Upon further follow-ups, I was then told that instead of repair, my phone would be replaced with a new handset. While this sounded like a resolution, no clear timeline or confirmation was provided.
The situation only got worse from there:
• Repeated delays with no proactive updates
• Conflicting information on every call
• False assurances about delivery timelines
• Complete lack of accountability
As I had urgent travel plans on Saturday night, I clearly communicated my situation and requested them to expedite the process. I was assured that I would receive the phone by 5 PM on Saturday.
Trusting their word, I visited the service center — only to be told that the approval for the replacement had not come through and I would NOT receive the device that day.
I was made to wait there for over an hour, after which the staff casually informed me that nothing could be done. The behavior of the staff was अत्यंत rude and unprofessional. Statements like “Madam ko ghar jaane bolo” were made openly, which is completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, I was even asked to PAY for a new device upfront with a vague promise that the amount would be refunded later after approval — something that is absolutely not how an authorized service process should function.
This entire experience has been mentally exhausting, time-consuming, and highly disrespectful as a customer.
I expect better accountability and service standards from a brand like Motorola.
