Hi 👋, My name is Susan Baksh date of birth 11/18/1963. I wanted to share this with you for the longest time but I was diagnosed with breast cancer after my experience with the best doctor in Mount Sinai hospital both here and in the city. Late June of last year I went to the mount Sinai emergency room in Astoria and I was assigned the nicest, patient, understanding and most caring doctor in your hospital. Her name is Neha Lad MD FSSO, she truly is a blessing from above and a great asset to you hospital. Dr. Lad from day one was my angel. I went in with a leaking appendix and never needed surgery, I am still amazed! At one time I was a little upset with Dr. Lad when I was in the hospital because she was sending me for all these breasts exams and I not too happy because of the radiation but I took the exams only to find out in September that I had breast cancer. Last November I had a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery in May and may need one more surgery. Dr lad saved my life, if she didn't insist o wouldn't have checked. May Dr lad always be blessed with everything in life that she desires. Thank you, thank you, thank you forever for everything you did for me, I will be forever grateful 🙏❤️. Also I wanted to say thank you to her amazing assistant Miku and the wonderful staff at Mount Sinai, you really are great with the patients 🙏❤️

My experience at Mount Sinai Hospital was overall okay. The staff was generally professional, and the care I received was adequate. However, the wait times were longer than expected, and communication could have been clearer at a few points during my visit. The facility itself was clean and organized, but there’s definitely room for improvement in terms of efficiency and overall patient experience. A decent visit, but not exceptional.

I recently had an experience at Mount Sinai Hospital and was impressed by the exceptional care I received. What stood out was the direct communication with leadership and staff - it exceeded my expectations! The hospital's effort to respect and accommodate diverse religions and backgrounds was truly amazing. I also wanted to address a concern many patients might have: the presence of traveling nurses. I found the traveling nurses to be highly skilled, friendly, and quickly adapting to patients' needs. They're experienced professionals trained to jump in and provide top-notch care - they've been doing this for a living! Their experience showed, and they seamlessly picked up where others left off. Kudos to Mount Sinai for leveraging their expertise to ensure quality care. Overall, I'd highly recommend Mount Sinai Hospital for their outstanding service and commitment to patient-centered care

I recently stayed at Mount Sinai, and the level of care was truly exceptional. From the moment I was admitted, the professionalism and genuine compassion of the entire team—doctors, nurses, and support staff—made a stressful situation much easier to handle. The facilities were clean and modern, but what stood out most was the communication. Every specialist took the time to explain my treatment plan in detail, ensuring I felt like a partner in my own recovery rather than just a patient. The nursing staff was incredibly attentive, responding quickly to my needs with a kind and patient attitude. I am incredibly grateful for the high standard of medical excellence and the human touch they provided. I would highly recommend Mount Sinai to anyone seeking top-tier healthcare.

I cannot say enough about Christopher Razavi at Mount Sinai Doctors 85th Street. I developed Bell’s palsy in 2015 during a high-risk pregnancy and couldn’t be treated at the time. Life took over, and nearly 10 years later it progressed into Synkinesis, which affected my face and confidence. Dr. Razavi truly listened, explained everything clearly, and recommended Botox. I was very nervous, but his professionalism and calm approach immediately put me at ease. After just ONE treatment, I saw a noticeable improvement. I honestly couldn’t believe the difference. He is not only incredibly skilled, but also compassionate and genuine. After years of living with this, he gave me something I didn’t think I’d get back—confidence. If you’re dealing with facial paralysis or Synkinesis, I highly recommend him.

My emergency room experience was atrocious. There was a very long wait. The security guard rummaged through my belongings. I was given pain meds and then shortly thereafter a piece of paper was put in front of me to sign. I asked the doctor's assistant what would possibly be done to me. What they described did not sound extreme. So in the middle of the night, under duress and scared, I was fast-tracked to the operating room, where they did an "examination under anesthesia." When I woke up I was told that I had a hole drilled into my rear end, with a rubber band run through it to keep it open. It was extremely painful and I could no longer sit in a chair. I was shocked. I would never have agreed to having a hole in my butt. The surgeon it turned out was on the job about a year, and I felt as if I was being used as practice for this doctor. Needless to say this hole that they drilled into me leaked and it has caused me incredible amounts of suffering for almost three years. The surgeon in question in subsequent visits was very cruel in the way he examined me and caused me great pain. Even though Mt. Sinai is supposed to be a good hospital for gastroenterology, I found it couldn't be further from the truth. Furthermore the nurses are atrocious. If I remember correctly they were threatening to strike and demanding higher wages at that time. They should be glad they even have a job. I recall a nurse on the overnight shift sleeping on a counter and coming in to my room to administer meds half asleep. The next day she was my nurse again and I asked for a different one. This nurse came into my rom and pleaded with me to approach the manager and tell him I wanted to keep her. I found her very unprofessional. The management there overall must be very poor. The surgery team is, needless to say, loathsome and dangerous. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this hospital.

On Friday April 17TH, 2026, 10:00 AM, I visited the Mount Sinai Hospital Upper East Side, emergency department. I had been only going to Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health since the year 2014 for everything, including emergency department visits, and I must mention, that I've never been treated and attended to at Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health with the great quality, expertise, and COMPASSION on the part of doctors, as I was at Mount Sinai. I was and am so HIGHLY impressed by how beautiful, huge, and comfortable the new emergency department is!!! I'm glad to state that my NEW go to hospital for EVERY single medical need, will now be the Mount Sinai Hospital Upper East Side! I switched all my insurance and primary care physician, to Mount Sinai Hospital Upper East Side, effective immediately.

My surgery was textbook. However, I did express some concerns about when it was scheduled. Particularly due to symptoms I was experiencing after my tests. Those concerns were, for all intents and purposes, completely ignored. So, since my nerves were being impinged upon, I was left to be in pain for 4 days, unable to walk or sit, because my pain wasn't important enough. I'm not the type of person who enjoys being put on drugs, particularly when they stop working as effectively. The worst part was that I contacted the patient advocacy department, and left them two messages, with the second informing them of where I was moved to. With three days to respond, no one even bothered to contact me. No one came to see me, no one asked me any questions - no one even called me. What is the point of a patient advocacy department if you're not advocating for the patients? Or maybe you are selecting which patients you choose to advocate for...either way, big failure. For the most part, the nurses were great. I did have a nurse who seem to ignore the things I was mentioning, which were very important. For example, my IV appeared to be pulling out and bending. I informed her at least four times, with sufficient time during her shift to address it. When her shift was over, she left the hospital without ever addressing the possibility that my needle was bending or potentially in a condition to break off in my vein. For all of these reasons, this is why I gave it 3 stars. However, for my specific surgery, this is probably the best hospital to have it performed, based on the skill of the neurology surgeon.

MOUNT SINAI THE WORST HOSPITAL IN NYC ! Your rights don't exist here i had the most traumatic and unprofessional treatment I received during my recent stay at Mount Sinai on Madison Avenue. My experience with the Orthopedic Surgery department was great and the surgery went well. After the surgery is when the horror begins! After my surgery, I experienced a situation where a female doctor initiated a "Rapid Response" in a highly dramatic and unnecessary manner. Despite being awake, alert, and having just finished breakfast, I was surrounded by over twenty doctors and subjected to aggressive medical procedures. When I expressed physical pain due to an IV placement, my concerns were ignored. Furthermore, I believe I was moved to the ICU against my will and without medical necessity, simply because I did not defer to the attending doctor’s ego. During this process, my patient rights were completely disregarded. I was: - Transferred to the ICU against my express wishes. - Re-injured my lower back surgery during a CT scan that I felt was unnecessary. - Stripped naked and told I needed to be "disinfected" under false pretenses. - Subjected to attempts to confiscate my phone, leaving me unable to communicate with anyone outside. - Told that surgery would be performed regardless of my consent. The "God complex" exhibited by the staff and the total disregard for my autonomy made me fear for my life. I felt like an experiment rather than a patient, and the lack of compassion shown—especially as I had no visitors at the time—is unacceptable. I expect a thorough investigation into these events and a formal apology for the physical and emotional distress caused by your staff. I hope to have any news outlet assist and take note especially with how these prices and medical expenses are so high. If you know of a news outlet that would do a story on this orand social media. These types of hospital needs to be exposed!

I experienced an episode at this place that left me traumatized. It's been a few days and I can't discuss it without crying. What I will tell you is that if you have a 19 year old son who has been operated on, don't even dream, if you're the mother, of staying the night with him and giving him the kind of care that only a mother can give. Just having me there made my son's blood pressure drop down closer to normal. God knows what happened to his pressure when they shockingly kicked me out. Some staff may be great and caring as I found to my benefit. Others are scum if they rigidly stick to rules and refuse to understand when exceptions should be made. I just heard of another mother who wanted to spend the night with her child and was refused. They had the gall to arrest her. In conclusion, if your child need hospitalization, stay away from Mt. Sinai.

The level of care and professionalism in this unit was extremely disappointing and distressing for our family. My father has been under the care of Dr. Parissa and Dr. Feng for nine months for liver cancer, which is why we chose this ER and care unit, expecting compassionate and respectful treatment. From the beginning, the staff were rude and disrespectful when we requested a clean and private room for my father. When I called the unit and asked the receptionist for their name, they provided a false name and then hung up on me. When I called back to complain, the lead nurse told me she did not have anyone by that name working there. Initially she sounded as if she would address the situation, but afterward it appeared nothing was done. Instead, we were made to feel unwelcome and were even threatened that we could take our patient home after signing a paper, which felt like pressure rather than support. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially toward a vulnerable cancer patient and his family who trusted this hospital with his care. We expected basic respect, honesty, and a safe, clean, private environment, and those expectations were not met. I am requesting that this incident be investigated, that staff involved receive appropriate feedback and training, and that the hospital ensure other families do not experience this kind of treatment in the future. Never ever go this hospital! Never had clear bills and they excuse for many reasons to charge you "at their ways", each Dr even at the same department they charge you as new patients set up ($300), one zoom meeting take you $800, they have no ethics at all. Be careful!

My only reservation for omitting the fifth ⭐, is due to the tremendously agonizing waiting time(s). Otherwise, the bedside manner of EVERYONE who tended to my needs/concerns, was absolutely IMPECCABLE! The attendants, nurses, doctors, etc., all exceptional and replete with abundant knowledge and magnificent demeanours. VERY accommodating and professional and compassionate! PS: Sitting in a wheelchair for HOURS, is PURE HELL!!

Needed a prescription for a rescue inhaler as mine expired and I was whizzing quite bad. It took two days and sleepless nights to get the prescription!!! First they didn't respond, then I was told to turn to another specialty physician, one that I dont use, then they didn't respond again while I kept sending desperate messages all that to avoid the trouble of submitting a simple prescription to CVS. Very disappointing!!

I always had a great experience from Mt. Sinai (in the ER Department). However I had surgery in the GP-2 at 1468 Madison, and the aftercare was not well. They also do not give enough information on the plan beforehand for you to know what to expect. So in periOperative care department/area, I got out at 4:20 PM on November 3rd. I was trying to close the curtain, but barely had the energy to walk or get up. The small drop-down table on the chair flipped down, and the 4 ounce apple juice fell on the floor. The male, older nurse got angry and irate. Then told me I need leave. He actually had the audacity to later come and pick a fight (high tone and quick words) with me (very poor bedside manner); he could have just easily said ‘sorry there was a misunderstanding.’ I told him we were probably having a cultural difference, and I told him he was being unprofessional. He kept trying to argue with me, but I asked him to stop. I wanted to get out of there so fast, I didn’t brush my teeth and put my used robe, sheets, and cover in the soiled laundry hamper (I didn’t want anybody complaining about any of my mess). I haven’t eaten since yesterday, but my appetite is gone for today (that was enough argument to last me for the week). The other fifty nurses were kind and nice.

PLEASE PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR ELDERLY PARENTS BE DILIGENT My father was admitted into mount sanai hospital on November 14 2025, he came in the hospital walking with support of his cane, talking and alert!! He had an MRI done where it showed that he has cancer that I was not aware of, he was admitted that night and stayed in the hospital for almost 3 weeks. It was a night mare, no one cared for him, I had someone privately watching him while my siblings and I were at work, no one took the time to feed him, no one took the time to really cared about him. The nurses didn't know anything about their patients, they were just like robots following direccions, all of them without experience, they just gave him medications and made sure to keep him in bed, even though he asked many time to be put on a chair. My father was giving Ativan without the docs asking me if I aggred to such a pill. After that pill my father was out for 4 days, basically drugged, the hospital didn't care that he was just laying in bed, I had to asked for the doc to come to evaluate him, I asked for my father to be put on fluids bc he didn't eat for 2 days, finally the doctor said yes, after a day or 2 I saw my father was having a hard time breathing, again I asked the doctor to come see him, for my surprise my father had fluids in his lungs bc he was getting 6 liters of fluids a day, then he needed another MRI and luckily I was on a video called with the home health aid and again the nurse was about to give him Ativan again. I've expressed to the hospital that I didn't want my dad to get sedative anymore the hospital was going to do it without my consent I begged the hospital to do the MRI without a sedative, the hospital refused but after talking to the people from the MRI floor they aggreed to tried and my father had it done. The hospital thought that my dad was having cancer in his brain too bc of his confusion, then the hospital claimed that it was due to the high calcium, then he needed an ultrasound bc his right arm had some bruising, then my father was complaining of pain in his right arm, I told the nurse that his arm look swollen, and my father kept on saying that someone broke his arm, my father had an xray done where it showed that he had a fracture on that arm, the orthopedic team came, and recommended surgery, over all the experience was horrendous with incompetence with the whole staff!! Today he was supposed to be seen by the orthopedic clinic but the social worker, very unprofessional didn't do her job appropriately, and my father missed his appointment bc he couldn't get transportation, my father is on a wheelchair and his transportation is not a regular cab, it's one thing after another. Please feel free to contact me Since mount sanai is responsible for my father's broken arm, unfortunately I'll have to take him back to this horrible place to get his arm check!!

I been to this hospital for yrs. I done 6 surgeries there. But yesterday 1/25/2026 was the 1st time that I felt like the Doctor didn't care. He wanted me to go home at 11:00 pm. After I was given pain killers and muscle and nerves relaxers. The hospital is not the same. I always said that the treatment I received at Mount Sinai was a 5 stars. But not anymore. The Doctor didn't give me a boot knowing that I sprained my ankle, he put some bandages on top of the hospital socks. He pretended for me to walk like that. I know he wasn't an ER doctor because the treatment felt like he didn't care. I hope I don't need to go to the hospital any longer because I don't want to go back.

The worst treatment ever. My mother in law is at the 10th floor she has cancer. The nurses are not good when you called them they are not around. Patients calling from different rooms screaming with pain and no consideration. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL TO NO ONE. LOCATION ON 98TH STREET. THEY PUT A BAG FOR MY MOTHER AND NOW THEY SAID SHE DIDN'T NEED A BAG. NOW SHE HAS TO STAY WITH THAT BAG FOR ALL HER LIFE.

I recently had a surgical procedure done. My doctor was amazing and kind. Nurse and all the staff that I encounter were kind to me. The only downside was my surgical procedure got delayed due to a complication from a previous patient before me. I wish the nurse told me because I was just waiting in the room for over an hour. At the end my friend went up to the nursing station and asked. But things happen and I understood. I was really impressed one of the nurse from the surgery called to ask how I was doing next day. So thank you to that nurse.
