Key Areas of Concern:
🔹 Customer Service & Communication
- Customers frequently experience delays and inefficiencies when trying to reach the appropriate department. Calls are often transferred multiple times without resolution, and in many cases, they are disconnected before any assistance is provided.
- When calls do connect, staff responses are rushed and lack empathy, leaving customers feeling helpless and unsupported.
- We urge MSC to provide proper training and accountability to ensure professional, courteous, and solution-oriented communication across all departments.
🔹 Documentation & Timely Response
- SI drafts are consistently delayed after submission, causing operational bottlenecks and unnecessary complications.
- Exceptions raised with the documentation team often result in repeated queries from different staff members, even after the required information has been provided. This redundancy wastes valuable time and creates frustration.
- We request a streamlined and centralized approach to handling documentation queries to avoid duplication and delays.
🔹 Invoice Turnaround Time (TAT)
- Invoices post-vessel sailing are taking up to 48 hours, which is too long and creates financial strain.
- We strongly recommend reducing the TAT to ensure invoices are issued promptly and within a reasonable timeframe.
🔹 OBL Surrender & Counter Timings
- The current counter closing time of 3:00 PM is restrictive, especially for urgent surrender requests.
- We kindly request that the counter hours be extended to at least 4:00 PM to accommodate customer needs more effectively.
🔹 Credit Note Adjustments
- In cases of excess payment, the process of adjusting credit notes is unclear and often results in additional charges.
- We ask for greater transparency and efficiency in handling such financial adjustments to avoid unnecessary costs.
