I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the extremely poor service I experienced at your diagnostic centre during my visit yesterday to your Bund Garden Centre for a Brain MRI with contrast.
My experience was stressful, painful, and highly unpleasant due to the behaviour of your staff and the lack of patient care shown during the procedure.
My first concern is regarding the MRI procedure itself. During the scan, the nurse tightened the face mask excessively without providing any support to my neck. This caused me immense pain and discomfort. I have been undergoing MRI procedures for the last 15 years, and this is the first time I have experienced such unbearable pain. When the pain became intolerable, I called the technician for assistance, but instead of helping, he simply told me to tolerate it for another five minutes. I was sweating heavily and in severe pain, and the entire incident could have resulted in a serious medical issue. Your CCTV cameras can verify my condition during the procedure.
My second concern is regarding the behaviour of your reception staff. I had visited the centre alone and was carrying only Rs. 2000 in cash, without my mobile phone. Since I have been a regular customer of your centre for the last 7–8 years, I respectfully requested some time to pay the remaining amount of Rs. 14,050 and assured the receptionist that I would clear the payment when I returned to collect the report. However, my request was denied in a very arrogant and insensitive manner, and the receptionist instructed the technician to hold my report.
I then had to return to my room to collect my mobile phone and arrange the payment. During this time, your receptionist repeatedly called me while I was riding my bike to make the payment. Such unnecessary disturbance while driving could have led to a serious road accident.
Patients visit diagnostic centres expecting professionalism, cooperation, guidance, and respectful treatment, especially during medical situations. Unfortunately, the behaviour of your staff reflected a complete lack of empathy and professionalism. This level of inhuman behaviour is extremely disappointing from a reputed diagnostic centre.
I have trusted your services for many years and have recommended your centre to many friends and relatives. However, this experience has shown me a very disappointing side of your organisation.
I request you to investigate this matter seriously and take appropriate action to improve patient care, staff behaviour, and service standards so that no other patient has to face such an experience in the future.
